"Another one?" Maria and the others listening around all exclaim in shock.
"Another baby?" Divine and her team also exclaim.
Yep, no one was expecting to deliver two babies at the same time.
Rex takes their daughter and lay her on the spare bed her set up, making sure she was properly secure before going back to Cherry. His heart pounds uncontrollable in his chest wondering if Cherry will be able to give birth to the other baby. He quickly grabs the radio to ask for help.
"She's having another what should I expect?."
"The same, it should be much easier since one baby has passed out-"
"Okay! Maria,how far are you coming with the hatch?" He cuts Divine to speak with his sister.
"Just a little more time and we are through. This things is like a freaking military tank! Our guy here is doing his best to cut through the door."
"Just hurry up please."
"We will."
Rex positions to deliver the second child and squeezed her knees to comfort her.
"Cherry, I know you-"
"This is your fault!" She screams back sharply.
"I know-"
"You put two babies in me! I hate you!" She lashes out angrily and pained by the contractions.
"I know you don't mean that, but I am going to ignore I didn't hear that." Rex swallows his anger knowing her frustrations were triggered by the pain she feels.
"I- arrrgghhh!!!" She pushes out before Rex made the call.
"Easy now... push!" He instructs and she obeys, though her body movements were still unsteady, Rex is able to gain control.
With seven more pushes baby two arrived and Rex took care of it just like he did for baby one.
"It's alright now little one, mommy and daddy is here... Cherry, we have two beautiful baby girls." He announced to her.
"Please no more, no more please..." Cherry pants out repeatedly in short whispers. Her eyes were closed and her breathing looked uneven.
Rex then places baby two on Cherry's bare chest so she can scent her mother. He stares happily at Cherry then glances at baby two still crying on Cherry's chest.
"No more, no more... please." Cherry whispers weakly.
"It's done Cherry, don't worry you all are alright." He promises her.
"Rex!" Mara called from the radio.
Rex carries baby two and placed her beside her sister before answering the radio.
"What's the status Mia?" He asked.
"We are in and coming to you."
"Thank God..." He praised for the first time.
"Congratulations brother. You are now a father, of TWINS! Who would have believed It!." Maria exclaims excitedly and holds Gerald hand to share her happiness.
"Thank you Mia, I would not have gone through with it if not for your help... and the others. Just get here on time, Cherry needs to be attended to. You will see a door at the end of the tunnel, that will lead you straight to us."
"Any pass code?" She asked.
"Yes, it's Dinero." He answers.
"Very classic..."
"I got to check up on the babies and Cherry now, do hurry up."
"We will."
Rex checks up on the babies and goes to free Cherry's hands from the bar when he noticed her struggling to breathe.
"Cherry, Cherry... hold on." He tell her and gets the oxygen mask quickly.
"You're going to be a good father..." She whispers to him weakly.
"We will be good parents Cherry, just hang in there, the medic is on its way." He assures her.
"Even when my presence isn't there you will look after our babies...."
"No, don't say that, we will do this together. We are in this together! I can't do it alone, I need you, our girls need you." He said still, not willing to let her go.
"I'm sorry Reex... I'm sorry..." Cherry spoke her last words and gave up the ghost.
"Cherry? Cherry! CHERRY! no, no, no, no, no, NO! Cherry, you can't be gone! You can't leave me!." He shakes her shoulders but she didn't respond. "Cherry, please don't leave me..." He sits on the bed and lifts her head up to his lap.
At that moment Maria and the others just unlocked the emergency door and rushed to where Res was. Maria froze at the sight in front of her. She trembled internally believing Cherry is gone.
"Mr Angelo, we need to perform CPR on her." The paramedics inform him and carefully led the broken man away from the bed.
Maria comes to console Rex sitting on the floor across the bed and remind him his daughters still needed him.
"Rex... I...I don't know what to say..." Maria spoke emotionally. "But remember you still have a responsibility to complete. You daughters, they will need their father now-"
"I can't believe she left me... it is my fault to begin with..." He blames himself.
"Blaming yourself won't change anything, you need to man up!" She proved to be courageous even when she was hurting internally.
"No- I refuse to let her go-"
Rex stood up and comes to pull the medic but Maria pull him away.
"Gerald, some help..." She called.
Both Gerald and Maria forced Rex to the corner so he doesn't interfere with the paramedics.
"Sir! Get a grip of yourself! If you fight them that won't save Cherry. Let them do what they can to bring her back! Please- please get a hold sir..." Gerald begs him.
Rex then relaxed and Gerald let go of him. He is a little confused and conflicted with himself.
"We got a low pulse, we got to get her to the hospital right away!" One of the medic announced to the others after resuscitating her to life, and they start strapping Cherry on a stretcher. Rex finally found hope when he thought it was lost.
"Mia, I trust you to look after my girls... go with them." He tells Maria.
"Where are you going?" She asked.
"I'm with Cherry. I am not leaving her side." He tells her.
"Alright, we meet at the hospital." She tells him.
Maria brings Gerald with her and they collect baby one and two from the medic saying they will follow them to the waiting and Rex followed the first team handling Cherry.
"Who's that?" Maria asked an officer and jerks her head at a figure standing in a distance.
"I don't know miss." He answered.
As if the figure knew they were watching it takes a run for it.
"I think it's the culprit! Go get them!" Maria tells them and a few officer began tailing the figure.

Kayla's parent house...
Marcelo, Hannah and Kayla all watched the horrific news about the burning mansion, neither of them said a word because the news was too gruesome to digest.
News reporter: It's been eight hours since the fire started and no updates have been released. The search and rescue teams are doing their best to rescue Rex Angelo and Cherry Gilles trapped in shelter just beneath the mansion. No one is for sure if they will ever get out alive or dead but as we speak the fire fighters are doing their best to control the mansion fire and the police are also doing what they can to get to the shelter before things get worse...
"See! This is what I was talking about! Darn- I knew nothing good will come of this-" Hannah complained as she wander the whole living room restless.
"Mom, we shouldn't blame anyone but me... I am the reason this is happening to them." Kayla insists and Marcelo looks at her without uttering a word.
"I don't know who is to be blamed but I know, Rex is in that situation because he stubbornly refused to leave her side!" Hannah lets out violently.
"Isn't that what's important? At least they got each other and I believe they can survive this chaos together." Kayla tells her mother.
"I can't believe you will say this..." Hannah mutters with a sad chuckle.
"Listen Hannah, you have to put an end to your cattiness with Cherry, it's not helping anyone not even yourself. What we need to do now is to find a way of helping Rex and Cherry get out of that place and find the culprit behind the fire." Marcelo tells his wife.
"Of course you will defend her- after all Kayla is your favorite and you want to be a grandfather so bad you will allow a worm in our name-" Hannah accused.
"MOM-" Kayla protests.
"Kayla, enough, let me handle it." Marcelo stops Kayla and continued. "It has nothing to do with what you are accusing me about. I am just trying to say our son needs us and we should be there helping. Regardless of what you feel, we shouldn't allow it cloud our judgement and end up killing our child and his child in the process..." Marcelo moves closer to Hannah when she cooled and touches her shoulders. "We should not be the reason another life is lost, we will be murders-"
Hannah reasoned with her husband but she still have a hard part stored in her heart. For the sake of Rex she was willing to let go of her hate, she didn't want to be the reason he only son dies.
"Yeah..." She mutters and allowed her husband to embrace her. "I don't want to lose a child." She whispers to him.
"You won't, as long as we are here to help, we will get Rex away from danger." Marcelo promised and kissed her hair. He then look at Kayla and gave her the wink which was a victory message only they understood.
