Outside the chaos 'Maria's point of view'...
After getting the information of the possible location of the hatch, Maria, Gerald and some police officers go in search for it. Afternoon has passed and the fire burning the mansion is yet to be quenched, many local and international news have gathered to get a glimpse of the situation so they can create a juicy story to share with the public.
While they divided themselves into groups in search of the hatch nobody have come up with anything yet.
"Do you think we will be able to find this hatch?" Gerald ask Maria.
"I don't know but I put faith on what Rex said, and I h-" Her words were cut when she trips over something and falls unexpectedly to the ground. "Ouch!" She protests while rubbing her calf.
"Maria! Are you alright?" Gerald bends low to check on her.
"Yeah, I might have tripped over a tree root or something hard-" She frowns deeply and tries soothing the throbbing on her right leg.
"Here, let me see..." Gerald takes her leg and removes her boot to examine it. Maria shivered when the cold weather beats her skin but she let Gerald have a look. "It's nothing, I'm sure it's the shooting pain from the impact, that's all!." He tells her and wears her boot.
"I imagined..." Maria said sarcastically and takes Gerald's hand to get up. She intends to glare at the object that almost injured her but she found something different.
"Mia, are you alright, what are you looking at?" Gerald asked and follows her gaze.
"I don't know but it does look strange." She answered and bends to wipe the surface of something.
"What's it?" Gerald asked and observed the thing Maria was observing.
"I am not very sure but it is made of iron. Help me out!." She tells him and together, they clear the surface revealing a door. "Bingo!" She smiles.
"You've found it!." Gerald exclaims.
"Fate lead us hear and made me trip on the handle." Maria smiles at Gerald.
"We need to get the cops here so they can open it." Gerald informs her.
"You're right." Maria takes out the second radio and called the police to their position, in no time they were all gathered at the hatch but no one could open the advanced security lock.
"We need the combination to open it." An officer say.
"Can one of your men get someone that can crack the lock while we talk to Rex if he knows the combination?" Maria asked the officer.
"Yes we can." He said and left to get a lock cracker.
"While he is gone we need to figure out if Rex knows the code as soon as possible." Maria said and called Rex through the radio. "Rex? Rex, do you copy? Rex?" Maria sighs and looks at Gerald. "There is no answer." She announces to them.
"Mia?" Rex's low voice responds over the radio.
"Rex! How is she?"
"She needs urgent medical care, I am doing what I can! But I don't know how much more she can take." He replies urgently.
"Rex, we found the hatch but it locked and we need the combination. Do you know it?"
"I'm sorry Mia, I don't, you will need to cut through it."
"Are you kidding! Why won't you know the combination of something you own?" Maria ask furiously.
"I was young and naive when I created that lock. I didn't expect I would use it in the future."
"Oh... Rex-" Maria walks around feeling triggered and unstable. "Do you know another way we can open it?"
"If you can acquire a cutting tool that can cut through platinum and steel, it should open it." He tells her.
"How think is this hatch?" She ask.
"I'm not sure- maybe three or two? Wait- Cherry's waking up... I go help her out but please Mia, get the door open and come to us."
"I will, I promise!" She tells him and lowered the radio volume so nobody has to listen to the agony of a pregnant woman."
"We have not option left! We have to cut our way through." She tells them.
"From the looks of it, we will be needing more than a cutting tool." An officer says.
"What do you suggest?" Gerald asks.
"Just hold on, I know someone who can help." He tells them and leaves.
Thirty minutes later the lock cracker arrives and got to work immediately. Maria was a little restless and worried they might not be able to open the door in time or at all, which means Rex and Cherry will be stuck in that shelter for ever.
"How long will this take?" She asked the cracker after ten minutes of waiting to hear the good news.
"This is no ordinary lock miss, it might require more time than I calculated." He answered.
"Just hurry! I need that hatch opened as soon as possible."
"Patient miss, this isn't something to rush about." He said with a snarky attitude.
Maria stopped walking for a second and comes to charge at him but Gerald quickly comes to stop her.
"Maria..." He called her name and held her back.
"Let go Gerald. I need to smack some seriousness into his brain." She said through gritted teeth.
"It's enough Mia, nothing you do will make things work out fine." He whispers to her and took her away from the hatch.
"I just want to go in there and rescue them." She confessed feeling her heart break.
"I know, but we also have to be patient too." He tells her and brings her in for a hug. Maria accepted his arms and embraces him. "Don't worry, we'll get them out. No mater the cost." He promised and pets her head.

While inside the bunker Rex placed some more pillows behind Cherry to aid her position and radio the midwives for the next step after Cherry came back from her unconscious state.
"It's now or never Mr Angelo! She has to deliver the baby now or they could be in serious danger." Divine warns him.
"I'm ready, tell me." Rex said though he was terrified.
"Is she still tossing about?" Divine ask.
"Just- Cherry, no, no, no. You can't leave the bed-" Rex goes to stop her from falling off the bed.
"I wanna stand-" She groaned out. "I wanna sta-" She kept muttering desperately through the pain, and also tried fighting Rex because of it.
"No you can't, you need to get on the bed, don't move." He puts the radio on a nearby table and put her back on the bed.
"Mr Angelo? Mr Angelo, do not delay anymore, you have to deliver the baby now!" Divine warns him.
Rex picked up the radio quickly as soon as Cherry was on the bed and shouts on it.
"I'm working on it! And say something else than trigger my temper!"
Divine from the other side glances at her fellow nurse who motioned to her not to take all of Rex's angry reply to heart so she continues.
"Sir, no matter what happens, when the baby head crowns or comes out, make sure her legs remain wide open until the baby is totally out else, it will endanger the baby's life."
"Got it, got it, got it..." He mumbles and steady Cherry's legs. Out of reflect, her right leg shoots up startling him for a second. "Damn it!."
"Cherry, you need to open your legs, it's the only exit for the baby." He tries to tell her gently without trying to force them open but she shakes her head in refusal. "Cherry, this is not the time to think about your virtue, likewise I have what's down there-" He stopped been cocky when he remembered people out there were listening.
Despite his efforts to convince her she refused and her screams of agony hurt his ears.
"Rex, what's going on there?" He hears Maria's concerned voice.
"It's like wrestlemania in here. If I could have some help here... it's alright Cherry, just stay put. Damnit! You leave me no choice." He says over the radio and place it down.
"Rex, what's going on?" Maria ask.
"Mr Angelo, is all well?" Divine asked but he didn't respond.
Rex took off his tie and got a thick towel to attach on a bar of the bed. He then tie her writs to the bar to hold her from moving and got into position to deliver the baby.
"Cherry, you can't keep it in, you got to push now!." He urged and she listened.
"Mr Angelo, don't force her, she has to be at ease..." Divine corrects him.
"Got it..." He whispers to himself and managed to get Cherry's attention. "You can do it Cherry... I'm here, just trust me..."
She nods her head and arch her back when a strong contraction struck her.
"In three, two, one.... PUSH!" He shouts and Cherry pushed. "Just a few more baby, and all this will be over." He encourages her and she pushed again and again until she could not handle it anymore.
"I can't do this, I can't do this..." She tells Rex and tries refraining her body from pushing.
"No, no, do not give up Cherry. You are not a quitter, do not quit on yourself... don't quit on our baby..." He begs. At the lowest of her strength she decided to give it another try for her child's sake.
Many agonizing minutes had passed and at last the baby was out. Cherry's body immediately went slack on the bed, trying to recover from the pressure and pain of birthing her baby.
"YOU DID IT! You did it Cherry... it's a girl" He announced to her and carefully placed the crying baby on the bed where she just came out. Rex grabbed the radio to ask Divine what to do. "Divine, she did it! The baby is out!"
"That's great news!" Divine exclaims and he heard many cheers in the background rejoicing on the successful delivery. "Place the baby on the mother's bare chest for a minute so they can bond, then use two pegs if any is available to hold two sections of the umbilical cord before using a sterilized scissors to cut from the center."
"Er- okay..." Rex answers shakily and places the radio aside. He rubbed his hands together feeling scared to carry his baby for a long time but he got a hang of it. He tore half of the top of Cherry's gown to put the baby and placed their daughter on her bare chest. "Hold her Cherry, our daughter is finally into this world..." He said and kissed Cherry on the hair.
Rex then cuts the umbilical cord as instructed by Divine and wrapped both mother and baby with a blanket to keep the cool air from touching them.
"Mr Angelo, if you have a something to suck out any after birth and mucus inside the baby's nose and mouth please do that immediately." Divine quickly inform him and he did as told.
Cherry gave a faint bleary smile as she glances at her daughter but the moment was short-lived when Cherry began to jerk and groan again in pain. Rex was very surprised and afraid something bad was happening but he observed the pain she showed were labor pains.
'this can't be...' he thought fearfully.
"There- there's another one!" Cherry shouts desperately and Rex immediately took their first daughter from her chest.
"Another one?!" He exclaims questioning.
