After Nyx was done beating the shit out of Chris, he then began to change his clothes that were full of blood, and look for a public faucet or bathroom to wash his hands. After that Nyx then proceeded to go inside the campus, all while Leo watched him from the rooftop. Nyx after arriving inside, hurriedly went into his classroom.
As Nyx walked himself to the stairs on his way to class, Leo was waiting for him at one of the stairs.
“Are you done, of the matter you’re doing?” Leo asked Nyx.
“I was, just now” Replied Nyx.
“How was it? The feeling of fulfilling your purposes? Felt good, right?” Leo asked again.
“I was still in doubt about it, but I can certainly say that it was.” Nyx answered.
“And so you know, that purpose comes with a responsibility. The moment you are done with your purpose, there is bound to be a backlash from that action.” Leo said.
“I knew that much, but I don't care as long as they will not harm someone important to me again.” Nyx replied.
“So you will wait until they are harmed, but won't do anything to avoid it? That's just basically letting things happen isn't it?” Said Leo.
Nyx was then again dumbfounded about what Leo just said, Nyx just thought that it would solve itself the moment he took action. But he guessed wrong, and what Leo said was the painful truth. He thought that he was being naive about it, and still thinks prematurely.
“I didn't think that far behind my actions, but still I'm willing to face the consequences of it.” Nyx answered.
“Then allow me to help you once again,” Leo replied, extending his arms to Nyx.
“Help me? How?” Nyx answered, as he also didn't know how Leo could help him.
“I want you to be the next leader of this school.” Leo said to Nyx.
But Nyx doesn't want anything to do with a group of gang members, much less being a gangster himself, as he hates them through his bones.
“What are you talking about me being the leader of this school, how can being a gangster help me in my trouble, it will just add to it.” Nyx replied.
“Now don't be too rushed to deny it, and allow me to explain. Your purpose and what you did will bite you, sooner or later. And even if you are confident facing one or ten people. But are you that confident facing a group of hundreds of them, alone?” Leo then continued,
“The benefits of you agreeing to my offer, is that you will have hundreds of people under you and five executives including me who have the same purpose as you. And even if we don't, the point still stands that we can help you with your purpose.”
“So you were a gang member within this school? Was that your sole reason for why you approached me? I thought you were just earnestly wanting companion's, and it turned out that you also have your purpose ha.” Nyx replied to Leo while being disappointed about the fact.
“I would be lying if I say I don't have my purpose. But all I really wanted to do was try to help you. And those days that we were together and the day I approached you, all of them were true.” Said Leo, trying to change Nyx's mind about him.
“Even if it was, then what are you doing now?” Nyx answered, while still being skeptical about it.
“Just as I have said, I'm trying to help you. So Nyx became the leader of this school, and let's both achieve our purpose together.” Leo asked Nyx once again as he extended his hand towards him.
But Nyx again didn't shake him, but ignored Leo's hand. Nyx was still skeptical about being a gangster and was trying to think about how to refuse him. But Nyx was also thinking of what Leo said, about the group of people he would be facing alone, he began to doubt himself if he was confident enough to stop them.
Leo seeing Nyx lost in his thought again proceeded to say something,
“Anyways don't rush it, I will wait for your response. So think about it carefully.” Said Leo, while tapping Nyx shoulder as he walked downstairs.
Nyx in the end was again unable to refute yet another word coming from Leo. Because he knew himself that he couldn't deny the truth behind it, even if he tried to do so. If the scenario did happen where his actions bites him, and it harmed his loved one in the process, how can he defend it? Nyx was afraid of the thought of him being helpless again in that scenario.
And so he was contemplating and was looking for an answer to decide whether to agree or not on Leo's offer. If he did become the leader, he would have people under him and also gained a reliable ally such as Leo and Ethan that he happened to see in front of the gate that day. But Nyx himself hated gangster, and so was his mother. He weighed both of the options as he walked himself to the class.
He went in and all the students were basically looking at him, but Nyx wasn't aware of it. He was so lost in thought that he just went straight to his desk. The teacher and the students were dumbfounded after witnessing it. Then began again to start the class.
The teacher in front was lecturing, but Nyx didn't hear a word of what the teacher said in front. He was looking out the window from a distance, wondering in his own mind. After a couple of hours had passed, the bell then rang and it was now time to go home.
After Jaydin heard the bell, he immediately packed his things and ran outside to go on where Leo and Nyx are located. Jaydin wanted to walk accompanying both of them, afraid of being left out by them, he ran in the corridor with all his might. He was basically gasping for air the moment he arrived at Leo and Nyx classroom. And all the students that saw it basically laugh at Jaydin's situation, and mock him in their mind.
Jaydin was then looking for both Leo and Nyx. And found Nyx staring blankly at the window, with Leo out of sight.
“Heyyyy, Nyx I'm here.”
Nyx suddenly snapped out in his daydream, as he heard Jaydin's voice coming from outside the classroom. He then looked at the door and found Jaydin waving at him, happily.
Nyx finally realized that the bell rang a moment ago, and so he grabbed his bag and went outside to meet Jaydin.
“What are you doing here?” Nyx asked Jaydin.
“Isn't it obvious, I'm here to pick you and Leo to accompany both of you to walk on your way home.” Jaydin replied, while looking forward to it.
“Oh, is that so? But Leo isn't here now” Nyx answered.
Though Jaydin was a bit disappointed, there was still his other friend Nyx and so he invited him. Nyx couldn't possibly refuse his friend's request, while looking all excited about it. And so he accepted Jaydin's company.
