Screams and fear began to conquer the emotions of everyone at the site of the coronation as the magic seals began to activate one by one.
All the chimeras scattered and changed into a monster like how it happened during the trial but somehow despite getting prepared, Yui still feel uneasy.
"Quickly evacuate the civilians and make sure to protect everyone!"  She screamed running towards the frozen exit of the temple.
She knows she was trapped and cannot move hastily since she is inside with her enemy.
"Protect the people! Do not worry about me!" Yui added pointing her fingers toward Gael and Rhodes telling them to leave.
Rhodes nodded as they have already planned things out, but Gael is hesitating to move.
His face is in grimace hammering his fist on the frozen wall separating him and Yui.
"Gael! stop!" Yui said raising her hands towards him feeling devastated but collected.
"I'll be fine, trust me." smiling her sorrows away, Yui was able to convince Gael and so the two men rush back to protect all the guests.
It was chaos.
Monsters were everywhere and it was attacking everyone they could see or anyone blocking their way.
The site where the event upholds was already terrible, but Maylene and the others were able to stay calm and proceed in protecting everyone.
"Darrion, commander Gael and I will stay here, please protect the palace with Sir Rhodes."
Maylene rushed towards Darrion who by then met with Gael and after saying so, she turned her back.
She then grabs Darrion's hands pulling him towards where the horses could be.
"What? How about you?" Darrion asked but Maylene didn't stop running while trying to sprinkle potion on her way.
Potions that may help the people unnoticed by the chimeras and thus help them to run back to the palace.
"I'll be fine! just move, everyone is our priority."
Maylene replied turning her head to meet his eyes for a short second before returning her sight on the way.
After a swift moment, someone rapidly appeared before them which halt their steps.
"Archduke what are you doing? You need to protect the royalty!"  Her scream quickly caught the attention of everyone busy assisting the weak.
"Mo-
"Mother!"
Before Darrion could call her, Daphne's yell conquered his voice.
She was running towards the empress dowager, Empress Karin who was wearing her imperial uniform.
They were all astonished to see the presence of the empress in such attire although she has been known as the imperial alchemist before.
After being crowned as the empress, Karin abandoned her duty and focused on being the mother of the empire.
However, at that dire moment, she appeared as if raising morals with all of them.
"Daphne go with him! and sir Rhodes go to the plaza and bring Julian."
She instructed in a loud firm voice, however, they were all staring at her stunned.
Karin twitched her brows and squinted her eyes at them.
"What are you all doing? Move!"
She screeched that somehow bringing them back to their senses and they quickly obliged with her instruction.
"Yes, your majesty!"
And the group disperse accordingly as Karin told them.
Darrion went to the palace with Daphne to create a safe place for everyone, while Julian used his magic and bring Rhodes with him to the capital.
Gael and Maylene were left to assist the people while avoiding the chimeras with Karin's help.
"Gael! Make sure to cut the eyes! Remember our priority is to move the people back to the palace."
Gael nodded his head and gathered his platoon knights to distract all the chimeras.
"Move towards the horses and carriages quickly!" Maylene shouted, guiding most of the ladies while running towards the stable of horses.
"Kyaaa!" Suddenly one lady fell trip from her dress just beside the chimera.
It noticed her scream and slowly turned its big wolf-like head to where she fell giving a fright everyone at the site.
The lady was trembling in fear and an amount of sweat began to appear on her forehead down to her cheeks.
All the eyes of other ladies quickly fall on Maylene and she did not hesitate to tear the lower hem of her dress.
Quickly she runs towards the lady, "You bastard !" She screamed throwing the glass of potion toward the chimera's head.
Groooaaa!
It screech painfully, while Maylene held her hands out to reach the lady and embrace her waist to help her get up.
After a split second, the chimera's tail was about to hit them both, when an arrow hit it causing it to stop in the air and fall.
"Miss Maylene!" It was Sophia and there she also saw her twin sister holding a bow and hitting the chimeras.
Even Rhian is helping using the bows as if assisting the knights and the rescue team.
Maylene sighs heavily releasing a feeling of relief to see them and so they continue with their work.
"Lady Maylene, please do me the rest and help her highness she was trapped at the temple," Sophia explained blocking Maylene to move further.
Maylene held Sophia's hand and squeeze them, "Be careful,"
"Herman!" Karin called the duke while throwing bottles of her potions toward the chimeras while on her way.
"Use this potion to distract the chimeras, make sure your knights aim at their eyes properly and give the whole command under Gael."
Karin immediately explained handing him a pouch of small potions with dark purple liquid inside.
However, Herman is confused to see her because what they know is that she is under punishment and was kicked out of the palace, "Y-your majesty, why are you here?"
"Do we have time to chitchat Herman? As Emperor Arcus's greatest right hand, you must move now." Karin uttered.
Herman changed from his wandering eyes into a determined look and obey Karin's orders.
"I should have warned that kid in detail! She is indeed Marrianne's daughter." Karin mumbled to herself.
And not too far away, she saw Maylene running towards the glass temple holding a scroll in her hand.
