Chapter Thirteen
Day 2 cont
Out of the blue, the rain started falling heavily as well.
The last time I checked, there was no rainy cloud, just the sun shining—not even a speck of cloud.
But that's how nature works.
Some students started running here and there, as if trying to run away from the rain, but if you ask me, where could they possibly hide? We are in the middle of a darn forest, for goodness sake.
It's all trees and sand out here. There are no rocks here where we are currently standing.
The lions from earlier have also decided to run away and take shelter.
"Everyone, do not panic; there is a camping area up front, so we should slowly walk there and set up our camp for the day," the professor said, making the crowd calm down a bit.
"Also, the floor might be slippery, so be careful where you set your foot," he warns.
He was the first to lead the way, and we followed him.
It was not more than a ten-minute walk, and we are finally there.
Some experts at making tents quickly went ahead and set up our tents.
As soon as my tent—sorry, our tent—was made—I mean, I and the professor. Gosh! What am I even saying? I quickly rushed inside, as I was completely drenched.
Lucky for us, our clothes have been packed in a car, so they will be arriving shortly.
I dropped my back on the ground and tried to drain out the excess water in my hair.
Lucky for me, my bag is water-proof, so I won't have to worry about my books and underwear; otherwise, there would be a huge problem.
I peel off my dress quickly and remove my bra. Then I quickly replaced it with another one.
It's too cold out there, and I wouldn't want to catch a cold.
I slowly removed my shorts and replaced them as well.
Now I am standing, only in my innerwear and with a pile of drenched clothes by my feet, wondering when the car containing our clothes will arrive.
"Are you in there?" I heard his voice from outside.
I quickly jumped, grabbed a sheet, and wrapped my body.
"Y...yes, sir," I answer.
"Come in," I add.
He is holding my trolley in one hand and his duffel bag in the other.
Just like that, he stopped moving, and he stood there for a while, frozen.
What's wrong with him now?
His eyes were looking directly at me—no, not at me, but...
Goodness gracious, I didn't cover one of my legs properly, and so he is looking at my exposed thigh.
I quickly covered myself, turning red all over.
"Uhum, here is your trolley." He looks away, handing me my trolley.
I quickly snatched it from his hand and moved away.
"Thanks," that's all that I managed to utter.
He nodded at me.
He turned to leave, and that's when I noticed that he was still wearing his drenched clothes.
What if he gets sick?
No, I can't let that happen.
And I'm 100% sure that everyone would pin it on me if something were to happen to him.
I would also feel guilty knowing that he has no other place to change other than here since he has agreed that we are going to share the same tent.
"Uhmm, sir," I call out to him so slowly that I doubt he even heard me.
I can barely even hear myself in the rain.
But he turned around.
"Is there any problem?" he asks.
"Don't worry, the blankets and warmers are on their way soon," he says before I can answer.
"Uhmm, it's not that," I say.
"What is it then?" he asks as he has completely turned all his attention on me.
"What about your clothes?" I ask.
He looks down at his drenched clothes and then looks up at me, confused.
"What about them?" He asks.
"Uhmm, I mean, you should also change," I answer.
You're so stupid; of course he would change even without asking.
"But where?" He asks the exact question I was about to ask myself.
"You can change in here," I blurt out nervously.
Oh, dear Mother Earth! Please be quick to swallow me up.
He was silent for a while.
"You change first; I'll be waiting outside." That's all he said, and he dropped his bag before walking out.
I opened my trolley and picked out a long pink sundress and leggings.
All my clothes are meant for summer, not this rain.
Really, I didn't know what I was thinking when I was packing.
I put on my dress and the leggings.
Hopefully, it might keep me warm.
I walked over to the entrance and tried to look for him, but deep inside, I knew he might have left already, but to my surprise, he was still standing there in the rain.
His face is covered with his drenched hair, and he is trying to remove the strands from his face.
I know he is the head instructor and all, but what he is doing right now is not healthy, and I won't let it happen on my watch.
"I'm done," I call out to him.
He turned to me briefly before walking in again.
He is completely drenched. I am sure that even his boxers are soaked.
Hey! Put your head out of the gutter.
"I...I will go outside and let you change," I say when I see that he isn't making any moves to change his clothes.
"No, you have just changed, and I don't want you to be sick," he was quick to answer.
"Ok, I just thought that, you know, uhmm, you might be uncomfortable changing in front of me," I say, looking anywhere but at his face.
"It's ok with me, but are you?" he asks.
"No, no, it's ok, really," I blubber.
But of course, it is not ok—far from ok, if you ask me.
"Uhmm, you know, you can just do your thing, and I'll...I'll be right there waiting," I say, walking away to the farthest end of the tent and turning around, looking away from him.
Not long after, I heard some shuffles, and then it stopped.
What happened?.
I turned around to see if he'd be okay, but then I froze.
He is standing there in the middle of the room, shirtless.
His is also looking the other way, so I can only see his back view.
His back is so muscle-built. I just can't imagine what his abs would look like; I'm sure they'll rock hard.
He was trying to pick out some new clothes, and I can see how the muscles in his arms are flexing.
Such huge biceps.
Then my eyes went over to his v-line. Even though it's just the back, I can tell you that he has the most amazing v-line there is, even though I haven't seen much.
And the way his trouser is holding his perfectly shaped ass. I'm sure it would be soft to touch.
Just as he was about to pull down his trousers, I quickly looked away, forcing my head out of the gutter.
It is completely wrong of me to look at my teacher in such a manner, and I feel bad about it.
So I decided to think about all the things that I might have been doing right now if I were at home.
They were nothing much, actually; probably I'll be on the phone chatting, watching some movies, or listening to some random music here and there.
"I'm done," he announces.
I turned around to see that he had actually changed into something new, and he was drying his hair with a towel.
Gosh! I forgot to pack up a towel for my hair, and now it's completely drenched.
It's as if he has read my mind as he hands me his towel.
"No, it's ok, I can manage," I refuse.
"You should dry your hair; otherwise, you'll get a cold, and trust me, this is not the type of place that you want to be sick in," he insists.
He is right, though.
So I collected the towel and started drying my hair.
It smells so nice, just like him. It also has the masculine scent of his perfume.
Even though he didn't come with a perfume, its scent still lingers on him.
Soon enough, I finished drying my hair and handed him back his towel.
"Thanks"
"You're welcome"
Then we all sat in the tent with no one uttering a word.
I don't really know what to say to him.
The only sound you can hear is the drops of rain falling to the ground.
I think we have been sitting like that for what seemed like eternity till he finally decided to speak, or more like act.
He was standing above me with a sweatshirt on his hand.
"Here, wear this; you are shivering," he says.
Really?, I didn't even notice.
"No, I'm..."
"I insist," he says.
And so, that's how he helped me put on his shirt.
It looks so huge on me, and it's warm.
I was wrong earlier; this truly is his scent, and it's soothing, but I dare not sniff it in front of him or else he will think something else.
"I think we are going to spend the night like this," he says, breaking the silence.
Huh! What does he mean by that?Download Novelah App
