Chapter 26: Personal Assistant

“Bukas, malalaman mo kung saan ka ma-aasign na personal assistant.” he said. “Marami ng napili sa company natin na PA, kaya isa ka rin sa napili nila.” dagdag niya.
I absorbed his words, feeling a mix of excitement and a touch of nervousness. The prospect of becoming a personal assistant to a high-profile client was both thrilling and daunting. The responsibility that came with the role was not lost on me, and I was eager to prove myself.
"Thank you, sir," I replied sincerely. "I'm ready to take on the challenge and contribute my best."
"I have no doubt about that, Zaniyah," he said with a reassuring smile. "Your dedication and commitment to your work have been evident from the start."
As I walked back to my desk, I couldn't help but replay the conversation in my mind. The acknowledgment of my efforts and the trust placed in me fueled my determination. This was a significant opportunity, and I was determined to make the most of it.
The next day arrived quickly, and I found myself waiting eagerly to learn about my new assignment. Anticipation filled the air as Mr. Santos called me into his office again. I stepped inside, my heart beating faster with every step.
"Good morning, Zaniyah," he greeted.
"Good morning, sir," I replied, taking a seat.
He looked at me with a thoughtful expression. "After careful consideration, I've decided to assign you as the personal assistant to Mr. Liam Mitchell."
The name struck a chord. Liam Mitchell was a renowned entrepreneur and philanthropist known for his innovative ideas and commitment to making a difference. His projects and initiatives had earned him respect and admiration in various industries. Working closely with him was an opportunity I hadn't even dared to dream of.
"Mr. Liam Mitchell?" I echoed, unable to hide my surprise and excitement.
Mr. Santos smiled. "Yes, Zaniyah. You'll be working directly with him, assisting in his daily tasks, managing his schedule, and ensuring his needs are met."
I took a deep breath, feeling a surge of determination and gratitude. "I'm honored, sir. I'll do my best to fulfill my responsibilities."
"I have no doubt about that," he said, his tone confident. "You have the potential to excel in this role. Just remember, growth comes with challenges, and each challenge is an opportunity for you to learn and grow."
“Bukas ka na agad magsisimula.” sabi niya
“P-po?” gulat kong sabi. “Bukas na po agad?”
“Oo, bakit ayaw mo ba?” diretsong sabi niya
I chuckled "Uh, h-hindi po, excited nga po ako." Pilit kong ngiti
Mr. Santos smiled knowingly. "Good, don't worry, Zaniyah. I understand that it's sudden, but we believe in your capabilities. This is a chance to prove yourself and make a significant impact."
I nodded, feeling a mixture of excitement and nerves. The thought of starting my new role the very next day was a bit overwhelming, but I was eager to dive in and embrace the challenges that lay ahead.
As I left Mr. Santos' office, I couldn't help but reflect on how far I had come. From the early days of joining the company to now being entrusted with such a significant responsibility, the journey had been filled with learning, growth, and determination. I was ready to embark on this new chapter and make the most of the opportunity presented to me.
The evening passed quickly as I prepared myself mentally for the transition. I reviewed my notes, organized my thoughts, and reminded myself of the key skills I would need to succeed in my new role. Despite the nervousness, there was an undeniable sense of anticipation and readiness within me.
The next morning, I arrived at the office with a renewed sense of purpose. I was greeted by my colleagues, who wished me well in my new position. I appreciated their support and encouragement, and it bolstered my confidence as I headed to Mr. Santos' office to get a final briefing before meeting Mr. Liam Mitchell.
Mr. Santos greeted me with a reassuring smile. "Zaniyah, I hope you're feeling prepared."
I nodded, taking a deep breath. "Yes, sir. I've reviewed the information and I'm ready to meet Mr. Mitchell."
He nodded approvingly. "Remember, he values dedication and initiative. Be proactive, attentive, and adaptable."
With his guidance in mind, I walked to Mr. Liam Mitchell's office. As I knocked on the door, I felt a mixture of excitement and determination. The door opened, revealing a man whose presence exuded confidence and approachability.
"Ah, you must be Zaniyah," he said, extending his hand for a handshake. "I've heard good things about you."
I shook his hand with a genuine smile. "Yes, Mr. Mitchell. It's an honor to meet you."
As I stepped into this new role, I knew that challenges and opportunities awaited. With each task, interaction, and experience, I was determined to make a positive impact, learn from the best, and continue on the journey of growth and success that I had embarked upon.
