Chapter 50.

It wasn't easy for Arga to accept that Maudy was gone; the guilt and pain in his heart had not yet subsided, but instead he received unexpected news. It had been two weeks since he had received this new news that he had gone to Bandung, and only now, after three long years, had he remained silent and even hidden from people on the surface. Why is he only now appearing? Not because he just found out and realised now is the time, but because he believes this is a second chance. There would never be another chance; he believed that because he had already experienced it. If God is angry, he can accept it, but he wants, just this once, the Creator to be fair to him. He had wronged Maudy, and he accused her of slander, to be more precise. But, honestly, when he saw Maudy with someone else, he was hurt, and he couldn't even bear to see it. But if he had to lose Maudy, especially if it was unfair, he didn't want to. He would rather be hated by Maudy than lose that woman for the second time.
"Den Arga," the voice greeted his eardrums, and Arga still remembered that his grandmother's household assistant, who was originally in Bandung, was invited to Jakarta, then returned to Bandung after the incident three years ago; they only lived in Jakarta for a few months before moving back to Bandung.
"Mother, how are you? Arga greeted Mbok Siti; actually, Mbok Siti was a guard or her grandmother's personal assistant, but she decided to go back because she couldn't bear to see what was happening. For years, Mbok Siti was by her grandmother's side, but she resigned, although she remained as her grandmother's servant in another place.
"Okay, Arga, what are you doing here? Mbok Siti asked because, after the previous incident, she left and Arga also went abroad, and they didn't have time to say goodbye.
"Arga thought, mbok will leave forever from grandma's life. The young man said this, looking at his grandmother's former personal assistant.
"Actually, we really want to, but even hating will never end; what is there? Our bones will run out, detached and porous, useless, even just regret, then what's the point? If eating and sleeping, which are needed in this world comfortably, are disturbed by things that shouldn't be so important, isn't that right?" asked Boko Siti after a long explanation.
"Mom, forgive Arga, okay? He said it directly and knelt in front of Boko Siti unconsciously.
"Den Arga, never mind! What is den Arga doing? Mbok Siti really couldn't believe that her employer's grandson would do that.
"Honestly, mbok is surprised; mbok is annoyed, angry, and sad because Arga did not treat Non Maudy in the past. And, also, because the madam is sometimes fickle, she is not like herself. But, you know, sometimes she has to do it for the sake of his children. But putting other people in danger is also not the right thing. Mbok Siti exhaled and then took a deep breath, as if this were the last time she could breathe, while looking far ahead, wondering whether it would be the same if time were to be repeated.
"Den, please come in and rest. I'm sorry for saying this even when Arga just arrived and I haven't had time to sit down yet. But mbok don't regret saying it," explained mbok Siti again because she had thought about this quite a bit over the past few years.
She entered and went straight to her room. Mbok Siti said earlier that this room is always cleaned; all the rooms here are cleaned every day, even though no one is occupying them. Just want to look busy. Arga knows that Mbok Siti is surviving here also because of her grandfather's memories and also at her mother's request; otherwise, she would have gone far away. It doesn't matter that her grandmother was her employer from the start; feelings of anger must have dominated even now. He still couldn't believe all of this, but it happened because of him. He just wanted to rest for a while.
Meanwhile, in a fairly large house, although not too luxurious, a child and a father who were quite arguing about something made the middle-aged woman stare at them from a place that was not too far away, still within reach, but she didn't want to disturb them. father and son timeThat.
"Dad, it's Maudy, you know, who won. He said with an annoyed expression, "
"Father won, you know; why are you even upset like that? said the father; he didn't care and instead ruffled his only child's hair.
"Dad cheated!" Maudy immediately stood up and put her hands on her hips, but when she turned around, she found her mother staring at the two of them.
"Mom, what are you doing there? Maudy asked her mother.
Nothing; I just want to see who will win. She said this with a smile, stepping towards his son and husband.
"Maudy should have won, mom, but dad messed it up. He said it sulkingly, then hugged his mother.
Her mother approached, sat next to her husband, and hugged her child, then Maudy stretched out her arms, hugging them both at the same time.
"Mom, why didn't Casya come? Maudy asked suddenly.
"Casya is busy; don't keep burdening your friends!" said her mother. Maudy pursed her lips and looked down.
"Maudy misses Casya, maam, and Sky too. Why?" She asked again.
The mother rubbed Maudy's head and slowly stroked Maudy's hair, telling Maudy to look at her.
"Casya is busy; girl, she would have come if she wasn't busy. Casya won't break her promise; don't worry. She said later
Her mother knew that Maudy was lonely, that's all. Maudy nodded.
"Yes, ma'am, Maudy should go to the room first. She said this and was nodded by his mom and dad.
Maudy is worried about Casya. The problem is that the woman didn't pick up her phone last night. She doesn't want Casya to get hurt. She knows Casya is hurt because of her. She knows that Casya likes Sky. Ah, Maudy has to contact Sky.
Hello, said the voice on the other end, clearly a wake-up call.
"Sky? You just woke up? She asked in disbelief.
"Dy? Ah, sorry. Yes, I just woke up; I'm sorry," he said again uncomfortably. Maudy felt worried; it's unusual for Casya to be difficult to contact or not answer phone calls. If it's from someone you don't know or just for fun, Casya doesn't really care, but here it is—the woman's best friend. And now, Sky? What's wrong with these two friends?
"Sky, Casya isn't answering her phone; please take a look at her and ask if she's going to Bandung; Maudy will ask. Help me, please! Maudy used to tell Sky, as usual, without knowing whether things were going well or not.
"Ah, yes, Dy. Sky will ask later," he said doubtfully, although he shouldn't show doubts when talking to Maudy.
"Okay, then see you in Bandung. Maudy immediately hung up the phone and sighed.
Maudy knows that she is also selfish, keeping Sky by her side as a friend, but Casya is hurt by that. Dan can't let go of Sky and also of Casya, whom he can't keep away because he needs a friend like Casya who accepts him for who he is. In her heart, Maudy really apologised to her two best friends and herself, but she needed them too to recover her memory. Maudy stared at a photo that she took secretly yesterday without her mother knowing. She wanted to know more about this photo, but there was no one to ask apart from her two best friends. That's why he wanted these two to come.
