"Pleasant morning, don't you think?" Alicia exhaled.
I climbed unto the ladder to have a better listening ear on their conversation. Turned on the light on my phone to protect me from the darkness of Beatriz secret dark room.
With an agreeing voice, Beatriz said, "It sure is, I was just telling that to my flowers. It another day for them to bloom."
"Too bad, I was about to turn today into a bad day for you Beatriz" Alicia said.
Beatriz sounded confused as she responds, "Anything wrong?"
"You know what's wrong... I gave you a week to get me back into the mansion and yet you still haven't fufilled that yet" Alicia paused then continued in an hush tone, "Do you know how it feels when you go out to a public place after having two failed weddings, everyone looks at me like I am some... some.. Alicia thought hard for a word, unable to find one she continued, "It's humiliating!"
"I understand" Beatriz chimed in using her calm voice so no one apart from them would be aware of their conversation.
"No you don't... You have no idea what I am really going through. We fucking had a deal, Beatriz." Alicia stomped her feet on the floor several times making sand from above fall into where I was, it was a good thing I thought quick to close my eyes. "Remember you said that if I give you half of the inheritance I shall get from my Dad, you will get me married to Damon. I have kept my end of the bargain Beatriz, I want you to fucking do the same or I shall do something to you that you will regret all your life"
"Enough of the insult Alicia, what is it that you can do? You lived at the mansion for almost a year and yet you couldn't even woo my son, then tell me what you can do that will make me regret"
Alicia laughed aloud, "You are pushing me to the wall. What if I tell Damon that you have been giving your lover, Xander's father to be precise, money. The same man you told Damon's father was dead."
"That's it! Come on, go ahead and tell him and see if he believes you" Beatriz boasted in her son's trust in her.
"You are sounding confident now because you have him hidden somewhere, I will have you know that my men has been awaiting my order to shoot him, for ten months now they've been there, incase if you boycott me I will give the order and boom! your sweet hidden lover will be dead" Alicia cackled.
"W...hat? He is innocent"
"Then do well to get me in the mansion in three days or you get prepared to bury him" Alicia said, "That won't even be all Beatriz, I will reveal to everyone that you and your son were the Mastermind behind the plot to kill off Elizabeth"
"What! How did you...."
Oh my God, Beatriz did plot to kill Elizabeth but which son though? It's impossible for Xander to do it since as well as Damon loves Elizabeth dearly. It also can't be Damon or is it him? He was playing a game too..... Though in the diary Xander wanted Damon's assets and to do that he needed Elizabeth. Can things stop getting dramatic each time? I won't be surprised if all this ends up to be one big tragedy.
"I also have another leverage against you but let's keep it on the low for now, we don't want Mark to tumble in his grave, do we?"
Mark? Who was Mark?... I remember now, Mark is Damon's father!
"You don't know who you made a deal with Beatriz....."
"The devil! Listen Alicia, I will bring you into the mansion in just a day, until then please stand your men down and your filthy mouth sealed" Beatriz begged.
"Of course I will" I heard Alicia's heel turned to leave but stopped, "That reminds me, there are news that that stupid surrogate is back and pregnant, is that true?"
"It is....."
"So it's true, this is why I didn't want to play the good girl to Damon like you wanted, now look... A slut from from a low class travelled her way into Damon's bed and got herself pregnant, I am sure she would be happy to find out Damon refusal to remarry Elizabeth like she wanted. You are killing my chance, Beatriz"
"What else can we do again Alicia? For her not to ruin your second wedding and allow Damon run after her, we ordered that nanny to kill her mother and yet she is still...."
I gasped for breathe as I heard Beatriz admit that both her and Alicia killed my mum. I didn't know that for them to acquire wealth and love they will go that far as to kill off a woman that did no wrong to them.
I knew my mum was still healthy, but how could I not suspect that someone might've wanted her dead just to spite me. You are such a fool Priscilla, A big fool is who you are.
I shed tears as I thought of what mom was doing before she was killed. That nanny was the only one that can bring the two of them down but days after my mum had died, she travelled to Korea to complete her studies which was so sudden.
Why didn't I see the handwriting on the wall, it was written in plain sight but I was too focused in Damon that I just wasn't thinking straight. All of them were plain evil.
My tears rolled down uncontrollably now, that I just didn't how to stop it. My head bumped into the flower box above me and I tumbled to the floor making a loud noise.
"What was that?!" Alicia inquired, with a sore head, a running nose and a pain on my waist, I quickly looked for a place to hide. There was a large blanket in one of Beatriz's pile of clothes, so I took it and hid under it.
"It's nothing, please leave it's already morning" I heard Beatriz say. After Alicia left, Beatriz had climbed back down to check what happened, when everywhere seemed normal she went back up again.
I should've used the opportunity of seeing her alone to kill her, then no one is going to find out since this place was hidden, the person who would be blamed will be Alicia but this isn't the revenge I wanted. I want a revenge where everyone pays for their sins the same day.
My revenge will hit them like a lightning bolt that they will never see coming, mark my words, my mum's death was an eye opener that I had to be stronger. This is now my fight!
