5 years later...
I woke up early with a tired face, I just got home yesterday after a really long trip, 2 weeks on the battlefield is pretty much a drag but at least I'm alive, good thing Perry manage to slip a day off for me, it just means that I'm free for the whole month.
I sighed and stretched my arms before hoping off the bed and walked downstairs carefully, I'm still hazy and I could almost hear invisible gunshots from yesterday, argh, I'd prefer joining the air force or navy for this.
I decided to cook some eggs and toast for breakfast, of course I need to stay fit after those harsh tranings, I did survive those things for this, it's too late to try another department now especiallly that I just got my promotion and that doesn't mean that my hard work stops there.
I hummed as I brewed some coffee and set two mugs on the counter, while waiting for it to sit, I tied my hair up and did some mouth wash when suddenly someone lifted me off my feet causing a squeal to escape my lips.
"Good morning beautiful" his morning voice rang my ears, I giggled as he set me down, I quickly faced him and kissed his right cheek.
"Good morning Drei! Breakfast is almost ready" I grinned and he planted a soft kiss on my forehead.
"Oh yeah, I haven't got a chance to greet you last night, welcome home love" he hugged me, I laughed and hugged him back.
"Thanks, love" I said and pinched his cheeks, he laughed and then the toaster tinged.
"Breakfast is ready" I muttered and went over fetch the toasts while he proceeded to do the coffee.
In case you're wondering, he's Adrian Zae Watson, my lover for 2 years, he's a doctor and we've been living together since last three months ago as soon as our engagement got called on, so to say the least, he's already my fiancé.
"Day off?" I asked him.
"Nah, I have work but I'll be home early today since you're back" he grinned, I smiled amd set the toast on the table before sitting in front of him.
"Wanna go home?" He suddenly asked me.
"Oh please, I've had enough on seeing my cousin's face at work, ugh" I cringed, he laughed and shook his head.
"Dinner date then?" He asked then set my coffee in front of me.
"I can't see why not?" I giggled.
After our breakfast, I did the dishes while he head upstairs to our room to prepare for work, Drei is really understanding and down to earth type of guy, not to mention that he came from a family of Lawyers and Doctors, he's earning big time whether he's on duty or not.
"Love, I'm leaving" he called out, I shut the faucet close before wiping my hands on my apron as I walk out the kitchen.
"Have a great day at work" I smiled and he kissed the tip of my nose.
"Thanks, you rest here alright? I'll pick you up at 6" he smirked and I rolled my eyes.
"Usual time I guess, be careful driving, love" I pecked his cheek and sent him out the door.
He gave me one last wave before entering his car and drove off, I sighed happily and walked back inside to get started with my chores.
A lot of things had happened on the past years, some are good and some are not, I haven't even heard from my former classmates since then and aside from that, my sister is now pregnant with my nieces and I'm looking forward to meet them.
It took me a lot of time to hide my true feelings about the past because I don't want my family to find out about me having connection with someone from the mafia.
He said it himself, no matter I beg him to stay, things won't go smoothly for us because of our conrresponding backgrounds, he was right there, that's why I let him go, right?
Besides, if it wasn't for that, I might not be able to reach where I am now. It may not be the official break up that I want but I have no attitude of giving up everything for someone, it just felt wrong on my side.
I was really secretive about my depressive state for three years until I met Drei on the hospital after my daily check up- which was again, a secret from my family.
My Psychiatrist was actually his cousin and that's when we started hanging out from time to time and my family found out about my regular visit at the hospital.
Drei also wanted to help me get over the past so we were force to lie about having a relationship, secretly that is, they actually caught it and said that he should be the one who's taking me out on dates and not me 'visiting' the hospital to see him.
And in just 3 months our relationship stood up to the real stage, no fakes, no secrets, I already moved on from the past so why not give him a chance? Drei is totally a perfect package.
Getting excited by our date, I spent my whole day doing the house chores before deciding to set foot on the beach.
We brought this not so big, two story house on top of the hill near the beach because I wanted to have a relaxing place to go to after a tiring work.
Drei spoils me too much and I get that a lot, I giggled to myself when I suddenly remember the time where I wanted him to buy me a new set of jewelry from Cristine's friend and he brought me the most expensive diamonds on store and even brought a personalize one.
Of course I wasn't unfair, when he wants something, I also gave it to him, he wants to have something for a certain meal? I'll cook it for him.
I was about to walk out the house when my phone rang, I frowned and reached for it on the table to see Shen's name on the screen.
I sighed and answered the call while making my way outside.
"Hey cous, how ya doing?" He asked.
"Fine, just finished doing the house chores" I replied and walked down the stone made stairs to reach the surface of the beach below.
Talk about have an anti-tsunami house- just kidding, whoever Drei asked to design this is really a genius, it didn't gave me any hard time for anything.
"Well that's great, do you have any plans for tonight? With Drei I mean?" He asked.
"Yep, we're going out tonight" I told him, they can't just pull me away from my time with him right?
I was really sobbing in laughter when everyone interrogated him before they approve our relationhip, Drei's face was really about to drain and he said that he saw his life flashbacks too.
"Oh bummer, we're heading out for some barbecue, guess your not gonna skip that, right?" I could feel him grinning on the other line as he spoke.
"Sorry I can't, I'm rarely at home so I think I should at least spend a lot of my free time with him- cause I obviously see your faces at work almost everyday" I pointed out then he laugh, geez this guy.
"Of course, anyways if you change your mind, we'll be on my restaurant" he informed me.
"Sure, bye Shen" I smiled at the scenario in front of me and he hand up.
The clouds are slightly blocking the sun so it's not that sunny, almost look like Twilight though.
Argh, that thing again, curse you Death Jaxen Ace Salazar, I bit my lower lip amd sat on the sand.
It's already been five years huh, that quick? I sometimes wonder how is he? Is he doing fine? Did he find someone to replace me now? Is he keeping in touch with our classmates unlike me?
I wasn't able to think of that for all these years cause I've been pouring all my attention in training and serving the country, if I know, I think he's in the other side of the world now, too far away from me.
But I think it's better that way before the memories of our past would haunt us once again, I'm already happy with Drei so he should be happy too- or am I?
I should stop thinking about him, I need to get ready for my date with Drei. I clicked my tongue amd walked back inside the house to take a nice warm bath.
After drying my hair, I walked inside my walk in closet to pick something to wear, probably Drei's favorite color, I smirked and search for the black backless dress he brought me last time.
Then I picked out a black heels to match my outfit, next is my hair, my mid-arm length hair was now back to its normal color, I removed my red highlights when I entered the Military Academy right away.
I simply tied it into low ponytail because he obviously doesn't like me exposing my porcelain back *roll eyes*. I also applied some light make up amd perfume before looking at my phone.
Still no messages from Drei, hmp. I was about to get my pouch when my phone rang, just in time.
"Hey Drei" I greeted happily.
"Are you done yet? I've been waiting here for 5 minutes, it's already past 6 my love, you better face your consequences" he said and my jaw dropped.
He purposely didn't call me! I was about to say something when he ended the call, I rushed downstairs and dashed towards the door and saw him leaning over his car.
I hissed and closed the door behind me before walking over to him with a pout.
"You're in the military, shouldn't you be much more aware of your time?" He smirked.
"You did this on purpose" I frowned and he chuckled.
"You're gonna get it later" he teased and open the shot gun seat for me, I blushed and nod my head obediently before entering the car.
The whole ride was silent until we reach a familiar stop, I felt my eyebrows ceased automatically as I turn to the person beside me.
"Honey made me, sorry love" he grinned, my jaw dropped.
"You betrayed me Drei?" I dramatically said and he pinched my nose.
Did he just effin chose my cousin over me? Now I feel lost, didn't they had enough of seeing my face at work?
I just sighed and let him do whatever he wants I'm debt from earlier though so yeah, I have no rights to oppose.
Adrian, being a gentleman he is, walked out of the car first while I remove my seatbelt slowly, just enough for him to walked over my door and open it for me.
"It's okay, we haven't bond like this for a long time at work" I chuckled, he just gave me a smile and led me inside the restaurant.
A first step inside and I found myself trap on my sister's embrance- not totally because her baby bump is keeping us at a certain distance.
"Cristine, how's the twins?" I smiled at her big appearance, good thing for her that she's not insecure about her big figure because of carry the twins inside her.
"Hassle, just got off from another check up and your brother-in-law needs a lot of rest both from work and me- handling these two can be hard but I'm not weak" she grinned I chuckled and softly rub her stomach.
"A few more months to wait and we'll meet them" Liam came and hugged his wife.
"Yeah, I can't wait" I smiled brightly.
How can imagine taking care of these two? Ugh! My other cousins' children have grown so big now, I want another baby- well the youngest one so far is Nikko's son, Nash, who is 5 months old.
But I believe that it hits different when you're holding your siblings' children in your arms, I wonder, I wanna hug them and spoil them- kidding let's not get the kids spoiled too much.
"You guys came, come inside now" Mark welcomed us.
I giggled and saw how the little kids around 3 and 2 years old running around until one got caught off my foot and I carried her.
"Ti Tinay!" Cherry giggled, Berri's 3 years old daughter.
"Hi there Cherry pie! Miss me? Awe, love let's get going, I'm starving" I told him as he picked up Yuval and Zero- Yuhan and Jiro's sons.
"Sure, come along now ladies" he gestured to the other kids which I assume to be the nieces of Perry's wife.
The two 5 years olds happily joined him as they walked towards the private room while I walked with my sister and her husband.
"Husband material too huh? When are you two getting married?" She asked me.
"Argh, Cris, we're still not ready to raise a family, we just got engage and he's still in the middle of building his own hospital and I'm trying to save my salary" I told her, money isn't everything but I want to secure my wallet first before I marry that guy.
"Oh please, that's Dr. Adrian Zae Watson we're talking about, you're being choosey sis, that guy, would die for you" she said.
"Yeah but we should consider her personal decisions hon, but Tinay, let us know if you're ready" Liam nudged my shoulders.
"Fine, whatever you guys say" I chuckled and we entered the room.
"Tinay!" I grinned and hugged Honey's fiancé.
"Cherri- I mean Cherri with the 'I' not 'Y'" I giggled when I realize that Honey's fiancé and my nephew shares the same name but different spelling, well isn't that cute?
"Ugh! Berri, why did you name her Cherry anyway?" Honey growled at his older brother.
"What? It's the combination of our names, 'Cheena' and 'Berri' so we got Cherry- be thankful it's not the same spelling as my future sis-in-law" he explained making the rest of us laugh.
I sat next to Drei after handing Cherry to her mother and he started to point out a few food that I want to eat.
"I want the salad" I pointed at the dish that's way too far from my reach and he got it for me.
"Looks like you really miss our cousin Drei" Josh smirked.
"She's hasn't been home for 2 weeks, where did you even assign this girl?" He faked his eye roll making me smile.
"Oh nothing far, just on somewhere close" Josh grinned, psh I was actually sent two continents away tsk.
I clicked my tongue 'this beach' I mentally curse at him before faking an attempt to m*rder him with my fork making him lean over his eldest sibling- Cyvhore.
"Yeah, minus the jet lag" I sarcasly said and set the fork back down.
"You two..." Perry sighed hopelessly.
"By the way, I heard you two are finally announcing your retirement in the entertainment industry?" Cychore pointed at the twins.
"Yup, Wives comes first, right bro?" Aldrei asked his twin.
"Of course, five years in the entertainment is enough" Andrei chuckled.
"A lot of things happened already huh, that fast" Jake sighed.
"Yeah, you're right" we agreed and had a drink for it.
The night was full of laughter and chatters, how I miss the old day where we're all still kids. The other didn't stay that long because the kids started to throw tantrums because they're already tired of playing and wanted to go home.
I hugged my sister before going off our separate cars, Shen, Honey, Lemon, Aldrei and Andrei decieed to stay back though cause Drei wanted to take me somehwere.
I deep sigh left my lips as soon as I had my back set against the shot gun seat, I love the food and I want to have a take out- that's why I hate eating ont his restaurant, I get to eat more than my usual ammount.
"Ready?" I turn to Drei.
"Yeah- where to actually?" I asked him.
"Secret, I'm sure you'll love it" he took my hand and gave it a little squeeze before setting it on the steering wheel.
"You're really not getting my punishment light tonight are you?" I frowned, he laughed and started the engine.
"What? Want me to do it a little harder than before? Name your prize love" he teased, I look out the window and a slight blush crossed my face.
I'm a strong soldier serving our country, I am fearless and I always accept every challenges that is given to me- minus the ones that this guy is giving me-, I always got my missions success and I'm also down to him- for God's sake.
"Stop teasing me Drei I'll have you sleeping on the couch when I want to" I groaned but he just laugh at me.
After a few minutes of driving, I took a glance at him, oh how handsome is he? He's still wearing his white collared shirt with the sleeves tucked mid-arm, his black pants and devilishly fair messy brown locks.
He has his round glasses slipping down his perfectly pointed nose, his grey eyes flashing every time that we past by every cars.
He have his right hand on the steering wheel and the other one is resting on the handle of the door, casually flexing his slender hands from writing a lot of documents.
"Done memorizing my features? There's still a lot of time" he grinned without taking his eyes off the road ahead.
"Stop assuming things, I'm just trying to figure out whether to tell you that you have a sauce stain on the side of your lips or not" I excused, I was glad that it's real though, that's the only things I have to now.
"Wipe it for me then" he grinned, I rolled my eyes at him, this arrongant side of him is really annoying.
I took a tissue paper on the front compartment and turn to him, gently wiping the little stain on his lips before sitting back to my position from earlier and showed him that I wasn't lying, he just gave me a shrug and I pouted.
After a while, we stopped by an alley, a very familiar one though, I quickly look at him and he look back at me with a gentle smile on his face.
"Remember this place?" I asked, I giggled and nod my head.
"1st date, right?" I asked.
"Yeah, it's been a while but I just wanna take you back here" he said and walked out the car.
After opening my side of the door, I hoped out the car and look around the bushes where I was welcomed by a bright setting.
A picnic mat, fairy lights- even lanterns, scented candles, red roses, and a light dinner meal just like the ones you would have at super.
My jaw literally dropped, as I look at the person behind me, he gave me his famous sly grin and open his arms for me.
"Thank you!" I jumped on his open arms, he chuckled deeply and hugged me tighter.
"No, thank you for everything, love" I smiled at his comment before he led me towards the set picnic.
"Also I have one more thing to say" he started while I took a sip on my fine wine.
"And that is?" I asked.
"I just remembered, the time when we first met each other, you were with my cousin right? Remember when I accidentally called you names?" He asked.
"What about calling me 'beach' that time?" I rolled my eyes at him, he laughed, oh gosh, why is his laugh like that, so breath taking.
"Well, I just figured out that you, miss Belfour, is the most suitable woman to be called as mrs. Watson" he pointed at my engagement ring, I rolled my eyes trying to hide my blush.
"You know, you're taking this thing so far, I'm glad that it did happen, thanks for running after me in the war zone, Drei" I teased him about what happened just a few months ago, he hissed and tried to hide his reddening ears.
I was about to get set off with a few soldiers into a terrorist attack mid south when he suddenly rushed into the battle side- which i was glad that it was the enemies blind range, just to propose to me.
"I don't know okay? I was having a heart attack when you're on the front line" he excused, not good enough, my turn to tease him.
"Drei, I have been sent to a few more front lines when we were still dating- you didn't propose to me until last three months ago" I said he sighed.
"Alright, I didn't have time to prepare to give you a grand proposal but still wasn't that enough?" He pouted, I got on my knees and reach over to kissed his cheek.
"Of course it was more than enough, you rush into the battlefield yourself, that was really brave of you dr. Watson" I giggled and sit back down properly.
