Chapter 16
Alexandria's POV:
Everyone sided Kriza, I'm just saying the truth. When she came her that is when the enemies are attacking us. Our peace lives turn into mess. I don't like her.
Now, we are helping to rebuild our destroyed village. Everyone help in order to finish it faster.
We build a defense which is a secular architecture. Windows gained a cross-shape for more than decorative purposes, they provided a perfect fit for a crossbowman to safely shoot at invaders from inside. Crenellated walls or battlements provided shelters for archers on the roofs to hide behind when not shooting invaders, include manor houses, town halls, almshouses and bridges, but also residential houses.
Wevhelped for a few days in order to restore our village and for now we are preparing to plan and find the map in the library so we can determine where is the place called Rov-ien. ______________________________________________ Wornhill Village Library ...
We all helped to find the map because as far as I know the leaders kept the ancient map. I don’t know why it has to be hidden but the important thing right now is to find it.
"We've been looking here for a while but none of these maps contain the ancient map." Tasha laid out the two maps in both her hands. "Lots of maps but they are the same. It stressed my beauty. I don't want to do this anymore." Tasha complained
"I agree. I'm so tired and I'm sweaty, it's hot in here." I complaint
"You two are always complaining. Just do it for our fathers sake." Ruben said while chewing the fried chicken.
"Ruben, Ruben, Ruben." Tasha's hair flipped once "Do you want to help? You're just eating there, I hope you choke." Tasha approached Ruben and kicked him so Ruben was completely choke.
"The map may not be here." Kriza
I raised my eyebrow while looking at her.
"I mean, if they hid the ancient map it is probably not hidden here because the maps and books here can be found and seen by anyone." Kriza explained
Because of her explanation everyone stopped searching.
"You're genius, that's right. We're going to the basement right now." Richard ordered
His face lit up and he was still smiling.
We were confused by what Richard said.
"Wait! Why are we going to the basement?" Rex was confused
"Explain please." older brother
"Why would they hide it in a place where people who want to get it, can find it? Nevertheless, that doesn't matter to them or they have nothing to hide, right?" Tricia making us more confused
"Guys, you have a weak brain accompanied with you. Make it simple." Ruben pointing his head
Troy sigh "The things we look for sometimes can be found in unexpected places—"
"I still don't understand." Ruben scratched his head
Troy just looked at him meaningfully.
"Continue." Ruben signed peace with his fingers for apology
Troy continue what he is talking "They don't look for things that aren't used and just piled up in the basement. For others, things that don't matter are already being put in the basement. I mean, the leaders don't want anybody to find it so they thought of putting it in an unexpected place. "
"Okay, I get it. A little." Ruben
Tasha just stared at him. "Let's go to the basement."
We all agreed.
We walked to the side where there was a staircase downward. We took a lamp because it was dark in the basement so that it will give us light.
When we arrived at the dumps of old things we were greeted by spiders wed and dust.
Sophia picked up a white cloth that covered a treasure-like-box.
"No ... Sophie!" We once shouted to stop Sophia but we were disappointed because she had already got the white cloth.
The dust spread all over the basement. It makes me close my eyes. I cough and sneeze.
When the dust stop spreading, Zyck decided to open the box. He open it, we saw a map.
Zyck get it and look at it. " I think we found it."
Riah's POV:
"We are getting there soon. Watch them closely, don't let them escape again. Especially you Timothy." I command my fellow witches.
"What do you need from us?" Question of the leader of the Mathell clan.
"For barter." I smiled at him sparingly
"Barter? Who's your leader?" asked clan leader Linosvel.
"Ahmmmmmm." act like I was thinking.
"You must not know. You have no right to know." I said
"Don't worry we won't hurt you if you just follow us. You will see our leader too. But it's a pity that in order to save you, your children have to go. That's all I can say." my friend Darelle declares
"Its over and let's continue the journey." me
We continued the journey aboard our brooms. Until we can see the house where our leader was.
Kriza's POV:
We were so excited when we found the map. We immediately planned our departure. We prepared the supplies and food to take because we will have a long journey and we have a horses of our choice.
Tomorrow we will leave early. Some will come with us including Sophia's father and some soldiers. Other soldiers will be left to protect our village in case there is another attack.
I went to bed to wake up early in the morning.
The day of departure....
I got up from my bed and arranged myself. I picked up the belongings to take on the journey . Then, I went out and went to the back of the house where I tied my horse to be used. I carried my escrima, sword and bow and arrow. I got on the back of the horse and immediately ran it.
I arrive at the exit of Wornhill village. All my friends are already waiting for my arrival.
"Milk!" Ruben greets me
"Hey!" So did Rex
"You're finally her sis Kriza." Tasha
"Is everything ready?" Richard asked
I nodded in agreement.
"I have the map. I'm going to lead." Richard
" The cold air is like a cold water."Rex
" Wait, Ruben don't tell me you didn't take a bath?" Tasha
" No, so what?"Ruben
" Yikes. Don’t come near with me while we are going to rest.”Tasha
“ Why? Who are you to be next to me? "
Ruben
Tasha approached Ruben and pushed him away. Ruben fell off his horse." Ouch! That hurts. Tasha you're really a bad person. "Ruben got up and immediately got on his horse.
" That's enough. Will you two just quarrel or we will start traveling?" Troy
I ignored them and focused more on the sky. I watched the light and darkness take over the sky and the sun rise. The sky was yellow. mixed with orange, red and blue. The chirping bird and the cold breeze of the wind makes me feel calm and relax. A moist from the leaves causes by the fog drop on the grass. Sun raises were spread on every lands.
I looked on Richard's direction when it suddenly spoke. "Let's go."
He already run his horse so we followed him.
