Chapter 18
Kriza's POV:
Day 3 of journey ...
We cross many rivers and pass by a mountains. We also pass a few houses. But, those beautiful sceneries we saw were plain for Rex.
Since yesterday and all day, Rex has been silent. Every time we talks to him, he only utters words sparingly. I'm not sure if Rex is being like this because Sophie left or he was betrayed. Maybe we'll let Rex alone for a meantime.
Tasha apologized for what she said earlier even though Tasha was not at fault.
We kept traveling and we accelerated even more. ______________________________________________ Day 4 of journey ...
Compare yesterday and the day before yesterday, Rex is more cheerful now. Dexter and Ruben don't hesitate to alleviate Rex's feelings.
"Rex, let's race to the end of the plain we're traveling on now. It's in that forest that the trees seem to have almost no leaves left, is the finish line." Ruben invites
"I'll join." Richard
We also thought of joining their race.
But we are just waiting for Rex's respond.
"Rex, come on." Zyck
"Don't be such a coward, Rex." Tasha
"No, I'm not." Rex
We were confused of what he meant.
"I mean, I'm not a coward. Let's go." Rex immediately ran the horse and we saw that he was smiling.
"Rex, you cheat!" Dexter shouted
At once we ran the horse. Rex went first, Richard followed. Richard was followed by Zyck and Ruben. The four of us were able to follow them without being too far away from each other.
When we come to the finish line. We looked to our left where the sun was slowly going down. The seizure of sun and darkness can be seen.
"Isn't it beautiful?" Tasha
"Yes, indeed." Rex
We are drawn to the sunset’s beauty just as much as what the event signifies. The setting sun symbolizes the completion of a journey.
Those often vibrant colors are the result of a phenomenon called scattering, in which molecules and other small particles in the atmosphere change the direction of light rays, causing them to scatter and create that incredible range of colors that we love to gaze at.
Beyond its physical beauty, there is also a metaphorical beauty in watching a daily sunset. The sunset symbolizes the completion of a day’s work and shows the passage of time. As the sun sets, it is time to end the day and take a break. The awesome beauty of the setting sun is also symbolic of the beauty and mystery of life itself. The setting sun is nature’s way of reminding humanity about the forces of good and evil. As the sun sets, light fades, which is symbolic of the forces of darkness.

We looked at each other and we couldn’t help but laugh. Our loud laughed echoed the whole place.
"My stomach hurts." Ruben
"I felt pain with my jaw." Dexter
"Why are we laughing?" Rex
"I don't know, we just laughed ." Tasha
"Maybe we are just happy." Tricia
"Let's spend the night here. We're close to our destination, tomorrow we'll definitely reach it." Richard changing the topic
"Yes, finally." Ruben
"Don't be so chill we have enemies we will face when we get there. Remember, we are going to the enemies nest." Sophie's father, who now joined our conversation
"Roger that!" Rex, Dexter and Ruben saluted ____________________________________________
Day 5 of journey ... Night ...
Since we are close to our destination we chose not to rest because we will be there in a few minutes. Earlier we were walking in a thicket and surrounded by tall trees.
We were just walking because we rested our horse at the bottom of this mountain. We carried a lamp to illuminate our path. Crickets can be heard around.
Sophie’s father and and Richard taking the lead.
Meanwhile , Ruben had been clinging to the arm of the person next to him.
"Ruben, don't touch me. You're being a scardy-cat." Tasha
"No. I'm just confirming if you're afraid or not and also maybe you'll fall because it's dark here." Ruben excused
"I'm not afraid and I can handle myself so, stay away from me. Go where Rex and Dexter is and cling to them instead of me." Tasha
"Why would I cling to them?" Ruben asked
"Because you're scared Rub." Tasha
"No—"
Alexa cut Ruben off  "Can you guys shut up you are noisy ." irritated
"Why would we follow you?" Tasha asked
"What?! Because you just have to." Alexa
"You know what, your breath will stink when you don't talk, Alexa. Look at Tasha stinky breath even though she always talk." Ruben
Tasha's face shows annoyance. "For your information Ruben, my mouth  don't stink. I brushed my teeth before. Why? Did you brush your teeth?" Tasha asked
"No." Ruben immediately answered
"Yikes! Ruben, you're disgusting. When we left you didn't take a bath and now you don't brush your teeth." Tasha acted as if disgusted. It moved a little further away from Ruben
"Stop it both of you. You're talking are all nonsense " I said
"Guys, we reach it." Richard
