We're Gifted
Chapter 20
Third person's POV:
Garu wonders if he's going to say a bad incident happened before. But, in the end he decided to tell what happened.
He sigh "That day I was not at home, I went to the forest to hunt rabbits. It was my younger sister's birthday. She planned to celebrate her birthday with our neighbors and friends. That day was supposed to be one of her happiest day in her life. " Garu stop at a moment. " It turns out into the most horrible day in her life."
You can see the loneliness on his face.
" But on my way home I was exposed to the corpses of my friends and neighbors. Fear and nervousness are what I felt in my whole system. I ran into our house, my lifeless mother and my younger sister greeted me with their lifeless body. I was trembling when I kneeled and reach them. I got my hope high when I knew my sister is still breathing. I called her name but I could only hear a whisper from her. I put my ear to hear what he said. Witches, we were attack by them. That was  her last words. I don't know exactly what happened but I can't fathomed not to take revenge for my sister, my mom and my friends. " He continued
" The question is why the witches attack them? "Kashton asked
" How cruel."Kriza remains her hands on her side
" They are the rebelled witches. They don’t want their skin to wrinkle, grow old and die, that is why they need a young body. What body they liked, they will definitely retrieve it." Timothy unclenched his hand

Third persons POV:
The day of Garu's younger sister's birthday ...
"Brother, make it home if you don't want to run out of food. Be careful brother." Garu's sister waved her hand
Garu glanced sideways and smiled genuinely. When Garu is nowhere to be seen that is when the witches arrived riding their respective brooms.
"Oh look. A lot of young people. Their skin are soft its melting in our tongue. Oh I can't wait." Blood thirsty witch
"Yuck! Your eating their flesh? Use their blood as one of the ingredients on our potion." Shot her a disgusted glance
"Both of you, button one's lip. "Gunmetal eyes
They approached where many people were gathered at a long table. They were preparing delicious foods and drinks.
A female witch approached a man. She touched the man's face. "You have a nice skin." She wisphered
The guy pinched his lips. The other witches also approached and as a result everyone's attention was diverted towards the witches.
The witches gleamed of deviltry. Garu's mother came out of the house. When she noticed there were a bunch of witches on their place she dropped the food she was carrying.
Someone started to shout. They saw a man lying on the ground lifeless. His chest was pierced. He was already bathed in his own blood.
A witched carried the heart of the man. "How magnificent. Isn't it my sharp nails are amazing? Look I get his heart with my own hands. "Blinking with feigned of innocence
A guy witch slap his forehead." We shouldn't brought you here. "
People started to panic. They run and don't mind who they bump into.
Garu's mother dragged her daughter inside their house. Screams from other houses can be heard everywhere. Garu's sister covered her ears with her hand sitting duck at the corner of her room. Her mother hugged her with her trembling hands. Garu's sister covered her mouth to avoid making noises. She started to cry. Her mom hugged her tightly. She stopped crying when she didn't hear any noises from the outside.
You can't even hear the screams of their neighbors. Her mother decided to come to the door to peek but, her daughter don't want to be left alone. Her daughter held her mother's hand.
They slightly opened the door. They were stunned when they found out man smiling while looking at them, standing in front of their door. That witch opened the door widely. In a brief moment the two were on the air. The mother and daughter are choke at the same time. They struggling with their lives but in the end they can't do anything because he was too strong.
Until they no longer struggled and now, they no longer breathing .
"We should go now. The people we killed is too much. Just leave those two there. We can't bring the others, let's just leave them alone." She said emotionless
After telling a witch the man immediately let go of the lifeless mother and her daughter and left.
Unbeknownst to her the child was still breathing. Carrying the corpses, the witches flew away from Garu's home.

In the forest where Garu is hunting ...
He waited for the right time to catch the rabbit. Until he got the right time to catch it and immediately killed. He got five rabbits. He happily carried the rabbit out of the forest.
He had no idea what had happened to his sister and mother.
When he came home from hunting, the corpses of his friends and neighbors welcomed him. His eyes widened.
His chest was throbbing with the nervousness he felt. He run to his abode.
"Mom! Gia! Where are you ?!" He called their names
He searched the whole house for his sister and mother until he found himself in his sister's room. His sister's room was just open.
He became even more nervous as he got closer and closer to the door. When he arrived, his mother and sister were lying in front of him. He could not believe what he saw. He thought it was just a bad dream but whatever he did to convinced himself it was the truth.
He approached where his sister and mother were. He caressed her siblings face with his trembling hands. Garu can be seen happy to see his sister slowly open his eyes. It whispered something but Garu couldn't hear so he put his ear to his sister's  mouth.
"I'm strong, right? I'm just like you. " she chuckle. "Witches, we were attacked by them." she whispered
After her sister said those words she died. Garu tried to wake her up but there is no point, she is already dead.
"I promised to avenge your death, all of you. Your death will not be in vain." Garu sworn. His tears fall into his sister's face.
All the remaining corpses in his place he picked up and placed in their respective graves. Garu put flower on each tomb. He was carrying a bag and other belongings.
He thought of traveling and finding the witches who killed his loved one. He turned his back on the grave of his sister and mother.
"I'll exterminate all the witches." Garu promised
