I was stunned for TWO DAYS because of what I found out. Is he friends with Jarmin?! This world is very small then. Why is it that out of all the people who can be friends with Cadmus, my ex is the one?!
Today Cadmus suggested that we go to a golf course. There they will also meet his sister who is almost my age. She's Diecisiete anios.
Even at their meeting place, it's still expensive! Well, me and my friends would just roll on a road when we meet up because we have no money. We wouldn't eat, we'll just feed each other with laughs.
I just woke up when I heard a knock on the bedroom door. I wasn't used to what I was seeing so I was stunned for a few minutes before I finally stood up to answer the knocker.
"Can I come in?"
"Cadmus!" I call it by its name. "Sure... Alright. I'm sorry, I just woke up."
He immediately gave me something after I opened the door.
"That's for you," Cadmus handed me a paper bag. Just the print on the outside made my eyeballs fall out. "Pick one there and use it today. If you don't like it, tell me. We'll choose again. I'm the one who chose that, by the way..." I noticed the one avoiding again he looked. Is he shy? Come on!
What the hell, a Christian Dior and Chanel bag! Silly! They still give me money then I'll get more benefits while I'm just sitting pretty pretending to be a billionaire's boyfriend?! He even let me live here and now, this? This is too much!
"It's not too much... You're doing me a favor too." He smiled at me. He seemed to read my mind. I just saw him smile without holding back. "Did you eat already?"
"Yes," my mouth spontaneously answered because my heart was about to burst with excitement. I'm not really interested in material things if I date a man but now, our relationship is still fake but I'm excited right away. "When do we start pretending?" I suddenly asked.
"Today."
"Huh?!" I spit. I dropped the paper bags I was holding. "Crap! I wish I had woken up before dawn!"
"Why?" He asked while picking up the fallen paper bags to hand them back to me. Before I could answer, I was surprised when he wiped my eyes. Well, yes it is! I just woke up! He even wiped the sleep crust in my eyes.
"T-to get ready, of course..."
"What do you mean? You look fine... Even if you just woke up, you can ate up a runway show. Even you have that silly sleep crust in your eyes." He laughed so I jokingly hit him. I was surprised when he simply took my hand. I was about to ask more when he clasped our hands together. "I'm planning to buy you a bracelet. Which do you prefer more? A bracelet, necklace, a ring or watch? Nevermind. I'll get everything."
I was stunned by what he said but I still couldn't move from his hand clasped in mine.
Dug dug Dug dug
Don't say that... Come on! I just felt it again. The familiar flying butterflies in my stomach. It's like my whole system is going out of whack! It's like electrocuting me?!
"After this I'll take you out. You should get ready." He winked before removing our entwined hands before he left completely.
Damn... I don't know who I should be jealous with. Should I be envious of him because he's rich, handsome and intelligent or should I be envious of myself because I'm getting all of that while I'm doing absolutely nothing?
I got dressed right away. I even saw Manang Aida downstairs and some maids. They are still talking. I was just going to ask where Cadmus was now because I couldn't find him in his room. I have also texted but I haven't received a reply yet.
I was going down the stairs when I heard a maid with blonde hair laugh. I then remembered the customer at the former restaurant where I worked.
"Oh My! Do you think Ma'am Cadesia will like Sir Cadmus's new girlfriend?" The blonde asked. "Oh! She looks like she have undergoed a surgery to look like that!" She answered her own question. This woman laughed.
Surgery? Duh! It's all natural! Even if I look like a bulldog in the morning!
I still listened to them.
"Retouched? Surgery Maybe not..." I thought the girl next to the blonde was defending me but I was wrong. "Looks like she has no money! How could she retouch?" she looked like a woman in her 30s. Her hair was braided like Annabelle's.
That! That's the truth! I have no money! That's a compliment because at least I won't be told that I'm retouched. Because for real, I didn't undergo surgeries.
"You two really... Ma'am Erin is kind, even beautiful and polite. As for those filthy mouths of yours, she might hear you. Don't do that again... I won't talk to you again if you do..."  Warning by Manang Aida. "Have you fixed the tray? Ma'am Erin must be hungry."
I smiled at Manang Aida. I also have an ally here.
"It's done," answered the blonde. "Fine, we'll listen this time but that's because you said it and we love you, we'll follow you." The blonde haired woman still said firmly.
"Alright, go upstairs. Ma'am is already awake, so you don't need to come. Just put it on the desk."
"Alright," she was already holding the tray so I quickly went upstairs so they wouldn't know I was listening to the conversation. "Sir Cadmus won't really date or even like poor people like us. Too bad."
But I didn't expect anyone there! And Cadmus too! So according to my haste I pushed him, we both fell to the floor!
And what surprised me more? Our lips are touching!
"Dios mio!" We heard the maids shouting downstairs. "Lord Cadmus and Ma'am Erin, fell down the stairs!" Even though I can't see Manang Aida's face, I feel that she wants to sign the cross because she saw Cadmus and I's  lips in each other's.
I thought he was about to part his lips from mine but I was wrong. I was surprised when he brought my face closer to kiss me even more. He even pressed it!
I couldn't move immediately so I couldn't do anything but put my lips on it. The softness of his lips! It's still sweet. What am I thinking?!
"I guess I'm not too late?" I saw Cadmus' eyes widen when he heard that voice. A male voice.
"Good morning, Senyor Arcajante!" Manang Aida greets the man.
I finally got up to clean my clothes by shaking it. "Good morning!" I was bowled out of my own accord. I was embarrassed because he even saw his son's lips touching mine. They look exactly like! It's just like copy paste but Cade's features are bolder even though he is younger than Senyor Arcajante. "I'm sorry that this is the first thing you've seen. I didn't mean to fall with Cadmus. I was hurrying down because I was looking for him and I didn't see him coming right away."
"Get down in a hurry huh," he emphasized the word 'Get down' just to mock me. The jerk was still grinning after licking the finger he had wiped from his lips earlier. I'm annoyed. He knows damn well I'm eavesdropping. "Are you okay?" Suddenly his face became serious.
"Yes."
He laughed. "Dad, this is my girlfriend, Amber." Introducing me to the mam.
"Hello, I'm... Amber." Amber what? Amber from Sofia the first? Amber Heard?
His ex's name is Amber... Amber is also the name of my boss who fired me from work. My blood boiled when I remembered that incident again. That's one of the reasons why I'm here today.
"Amber?" He frowned at me and looked at his son. "Nice to finally meet you, Amber. What's your last name again?"
"Uh---"
"Amber Maverick, dad." Cadmus cut me off. He forgot to tell me about the information on Amber, his ex. In fact, Senyor Arcajante's arrival was also sudden because he seemed surprised earlier.
"Sorry I didn't tell you that I'm coming over today. I rescheduled a meeting just to see your sister. I'm glad I got to see..." He looked at me. "Amber. Your girlfriend. You're so beautiful, Amber. I wonder how my son made you say yes?" He smiled at me.
I just laughed because I had nothing to say.
Even before we got to the golf course, Senyor Arcajante and Cadmus were together in the same car. Old Cadmus looked at me because he said I was really beautiful. I appreciated that, but I was left out. He always elbowed Cadmus to tease me.
"Very good, son," he praised his son.
"Dad please stop, you're making her feel uncomfortable." Cadmus scolded his father.
"Do I?" The gentleman asked sarcastically.
"I know I did a great job and I don't need a praise from it. She's really a wonderful woman and I'll work hard everyday just to prove everyone I'm not the only one who's lucky to have her. She's lucky to have me too." Cadmus added to this. "So please don't act like she's the one who's lucky to have me."
The old man laughed. "I thought you would never understand love. I was wrong. You understand it more than what I want you to." He said to the son. "Gosh, I remember your mom." His eyes started to tear up. After a while he became emotional and started crying so I panicked and calmed him down.
What other companies fear, the founder of Arcajante Bank Holdings and the father of Cadmus Arcajante Jr. is crying now in front of me? It is very impossible for other people to believe that.
But what worries me now, what if his sister doesn't like me? Even if our relationship is not real it is still important. His sister must also like me because this is my only job and he gave me so much more money. I need to return the favor.
Senyor Arcajante was in the driver's seat and Cade and I were in the backseat.
"What is your sister's favorite color?" I asked Cade in a whisper.
"What?" He asked like it's a strange question.
"Favorite color?" I repeated again because maybe he just didn't hear.
"Black, white, gold and red. She likes elegant things." He answered immediately. "Why are you asking me that?"
"Maybe because she wouldn't like me," I avoided looking at him. I looked at the window.
I was surprised when I felt his hand on my chin. He slowly turned my chin towards him. Then he touched both my cheeks.
"Listen Erin, she'll love you. She's not really the judgmental type. You have the best sense of humor, the best laugh and smile. She likes humorous people. I'm the picky one and I chose you. How couldn't she choose you when she's not even judgemental?" He said softly.
My cheeks reddened because of what he said but I replaced it with a smile.
I hope so.
Senyor Arcajante got out of the car first. As soon as we got out, the two of us next to me saw the red haired colored woman with short hair. Unlike her brother and father who are both tanned, this girl is fair.
I couldn't hear what they were talking about but they were both smiling and hugging. The woman who I guess is Cadmus' sister is also wearing a golf course outfit.
Cadesia looked at the car we were in. Senyor Arcajante whispered something here that I guess has already been said about me. The girl's smile grew wider and she ran happily to the car.
I was just about to remove my seatbelt when Cadmus's face blocked in front of me again. "Leave it to me," he said and removed my seatbelt. "Don't be nervous, 'kay... I promise she'll love you, sweetheart."
After we left, I was going to speak to introduce myself but I was immediately greeted by Cadesia's hug. My eyes widened in shock but eventually I smiled. I caressed her back as she hugged me.
"I finally met you! You're so pretty oh my gosh! I should post you on Instagram so I can get more followers." She laughed.  "Have you guys eaten yet? I prepared food. Maybe we should eat first before playing."
Wow! Even the way she speaks English is even straight! She has a European accent! Wow! Obviously proficient in the national language.
I'm so jealous. I hope I have a family like this too. They welcomed me so warm!
"I told you, she'd love you." Cadmus winked.
