Chapter 22 : Question [Kiau’s Point of View] “We are done,” I said with Irung mouth. I still in his memories. We looked down. “What should we do?!” I and Niem approached Tieden, stared at him full of hope. “Tieden~” Tieden looks tired, “Why me?” he tried to avoid our stared. “No, I mean. I am also in this problem, so I have to find a solution.” Tieden mumbling. “I think we can’t talk about this in front of him.” Tieden looked at Kiau. “He doesn’t want to talk to us, so no deal can be made with him.” Niem grabbed Tieden hand, “So let’s talk it in other room!” and he grabbed my hand too. Tieden tried to stop Niem, “But we can’t let him alone here.” “I will take care of him!” I released Niem’s hand. Waved at them, “Have a nice talk~ I will also chit chat with Kiau.” “Sure, have fun!” Niem waved back. “Wait, I don’t think I can discuss with Niem. I can’t handle his way of thinking.” Tieden said. “If you leave me with that thing,” Niem pointed at Kiau. “Before you come back, He may not be whole anymore.” Niem smiled. “So, like this.” I put my hand around Niem’s shoulder. “Bye Tieden~” I waved at Tieden and drag Niem with me. Niem waved at Tieden too. “Wait,.. wait...” Tieden grab our shoulder. “If you two come up with a solution, it will just result in something weird. And it is not like there’s just the three of us here.” “What? It is just us and Kiau here. Tieden did you see a ghost?” I hold Niem’s hand. Niem chuckled. “That’s not what I mean.” Tieden pat his forehead. “I can’t handle this kind of people, and more worse than Niem.” he got headache again. “I am always curious why someone like you can become a scientist.” Niem chuckled. “Me too.” I said it to Niem. Niem realized it, “Yeah, why people like us can become scientists.” He laughed again. “Why you are happy about that.” Tieden is tired of our behaviour. “Whatever. I will call Finne to take care of him.” Tieden put his hand on his pocket. “Let’s go!” Niem looks excited. He put his hand around my shoulder, and grabbed Tieden hand. “Meeting! Meeting!” “Can the two of you leave here, and let me with Finne thinking about our solution.” Tieden said it with small voice. “Should I order something for our meeting?” Niem doesn’d seem to hear Tieden. “We can’t do that.” I said it with serious tone, “The food will get lost because our place isn’t on the maps.” “How can you said it seriously. That’s not the main problem. We can’t let others know this place.” Tieden tired. “Forget it, I thought prison would be better than here.” Tieden dragged to outside the room. But suddenly I feel like I can’t breathe. And everything turn dark without any light. I opened my eyes again. [Third’s point of view] “Are you dead?” a similar voice came through Kiau’s ear, Niem in front of him. “Um, sorry I closed your nose and mouth to wake you up, even though your eyes wide opened, but you didn’t answer us.” Niem waved his hand in front of Kiau’s face, to make sure that Kiau wakes up. “How much that you see?” Niem looks excited. “And how it feels? I mean, can you feel what the person you saw the memory felt at that time? Is that hurt If you are hurt in that memories?.” He said it fastly. “Are you experimenting him?” Tieden smiled. “We don’t have many data about Irung’s case. It is because this thing ran away.” Niem looked at Kiau. “You still call him ‘thing’.” Tieden cross his hands. “That’s because I am still me. But I’m not as weird as I used to be. Maybe it is because Anya. After all, she is a calm person.” Niem said. “Or not? Am I still a weird Niem?” he looks puzzled. “I feel like I was changed too. Before this I was tired of you, but now I am interested about person like you.” Tieden smiled. “It sounds weird.” Niem is feeling cringed. “Wait, did you get tired of me?” Niem realized that he had been insulted. “Yes, your behaviour before was so unbelievably tiring to handle. But Taringa like something like that, right? They in us become one with us.” Tieden looked at his own hands. “And now, I have fun with you.” “Wait, that’s not a compliment right?” Niem looks sulked. “So, isn’t he is Irung?” Tieden pointed at Kiau. “Your beloved Irung is there Niem.” Niem looked at Kiau, “Yes it is him, and also not him.” Kiau didn’t say anything, he just looked at Niem. There is silence for a while. “Why don’t you ask anything? Aren’t you curious about what we were talking about? Or have you understood and seen everything in memory? Why you doesn’t say anything?!” Niem looks sulked. Tieden chuckled. “I haven’t seen it in the memory. But well, I am not interested.” Kiau said it in flat tone. “What? But this is about yourself.” Niem looks confused. Tieden smiled, “How about you just ask it, Kiau?” he walked closer. “Niem wants to talk to you. We just got to meet.” “What do you mean?” Kiau looks uninterested. “What do you mean become one? And what is ‘I am Irung? But also not him?” his expression was flat. Niem looked at Kiau with an annoyed look, “Why are you asking like nothing happened before.” he tried to hold his anger. “So, you didn’t see it in memory before.” Tieden nodded, tried to act but failed. “The long of memory that you can see, the time in that memory,” Tieden mumbling. “There are so many factors that we don’t know yet.” Tiede smiled at Niem. “Let’s do some experiment to check his ability.” Niem looks excited again. “Wait, you asked me to ask. I thought you wanted to tell me about it. But why?” Kiau looks tired.
