Chapter 26 First Generation Part 1

Strange place and surrounded by strange strangers. The only thing on Pifu's mind was to get out of there before these people actually killed him. Pifu was trembling afraid to make a sound but if he kept quiet everything would be the same. These people would have made him an experimental subject or rather had made him an experimental subject.
Pifu just walked after them. He was between Irung and Niem and followed Tieden from behind, out of nowhere. Pifu tries to keep up with these people and looks for a chance to escape.
Pifu saw many doors on the left and right of the passage they were passing. Pifu only glanced at it out of the corner of his eye, afraid that Niem or Irung would find out.
Irung tilted his head, looking at Pifu with a smile. Pifu flinched in fear of being caught looking for an opportunity to escape. "Take a look," he said cheerfully. "To your left and right you will see 'the other'." but apparently Irung asked him to pay attention to their surroundings.
“In this first room, there is Rurimi!” Irung introduced someone who was in one of the rooms. Pifu saw him through the glass. The man named Rurimi sat quietly and comfortably on his chair in the middle of his room. Rurimi waved and smiled at Pifu. Pifu replied with a stiff smile.
Irung waved his hand towards Rurimi excitedly. "Hey Rurimi!"
"Irung," Niem played with the candy in his mouth. "You look like you're out on an excursion at the zoo." Niem giggled in amusement.
"Niem." Tieden's voice stopped Niem's laughter.
"Sorry." Niem looked the other way and didn't look the least bit guilty. "They're not humans anymore, right, just an experimental rats." he muttered.
“They are still humans, Niem.” Tieden raised his voice, “We must still respect them. Don't you know how much they mean to any research? To achieve our goal.” Tieden tried to calm himself back down from Niem’s behaviour.
Pifu was speechless. In his mind he was very furious, if these people think we are human then why do things beyond of humanity.
Tieden sighed, “And you too Irung. Can you not be too open with Pifu? And don't get too close to them."
"Eh? Is it okay? Pifu is our new member, I'm just introducing them so we can be friends." Irung smiled at Tieden.
"Friend?" a strange voice suddenly entered Pifu's ears, Pifu turned her head. Pifu flinched to see Rurimi already in front of the glass right beside them. "I like it, Irung." Rurimi smiled sweetly.
“Of course Rurimi. We have friends, I'm your friend." Irung brought his face closer to the glass that limited him to Rurimi.
Rurimi looked happy, "Am I also friends with this person Irung?" Rurimi looked at Pifu.
Irung nodded, “Of course you can be friends. He will also live here. He's Pifu." Irung put his hand on Pifu's shoulder. Pifu turned to him. Pifu didn't know what expression to make, he was scared and confused at the same time.
Rurimi gave a small jump happily, "I'm Rurimi." he put his hand in front of the mirror instead of shaking hands. "Nice to meet you, Pifu." Rurimi smiled.
Pifu looks doubtful, she slowly puts her hand in front of the mirror, right in front of Rurimi's hand.
“I want to be friends soon. I want to feel it. With my tongue." Rurimi looked at Pifu's hand behind the glass. “How does ‘friend’ feel?” Rurimi glanced at Pifu out of the corner of her eye. Rurimi came closer to Pifu's hand as if to eat it.
Pifu gasped in surprise and immediately pulled his hand away from Rurimi, causing him to fall backwards and nearly fall. But Irung's hand held him from behind. Rurimi was still smiling while Pifu held his hand tightly.
"It tastes the same as the ordinary human Rurimi." Irung answered Rurimi's question casually. “There isn’t any different taste from human that either your friend or not.”
"But there is a possibility that the taste of experimental humans is different from ordinary humans." Irung muttered to himself, “We've never tried it. That could be a good idea to-” Irung looked excited to explain before being cut off by Niem who hit him on the head.
"You want to eliminate one of the rats?" Niem crossed his arms in front of his chest, while Irung stroked his aching head. "But if you're the one he eats, it doesn't seem like a problem." Niem was once again giggling to himself at his words.
"But Irung, I never eat a huma-" Rurimi's words were interrupted by a burp, he hastily covered his mouth. "Sorry," he scratched the back of his head non-itchy.
"What else did you eat this time?" Irung showed a pretty serious face, "This is the first time I can't tell from the smell."
Niem's face scrunched up, "Smell of saltpeter, Irung is disgusting."
“Just tasteless cotton candy in the pillowcase.” Rurimi pointed at the pillow that was inon his bed. But then he gasped and his face instantly went white. He turned to Tieden who was staring intently at him. He couldn't dodge or say anything.
"Rurimi." Tieden opened his mouth, “I told you not to eat anything weird other than for research.” Tieden smiled, but his eyes were cold. He sighed, “Looks like I have to add to the budget to replace the stuff you ate this month.”
“Rurimi has a very good sense of taste. He can even know every ingredient or ingredient in the food he eats or what he eats,” Irung explained. Rurimi showed her tongue out.
"But his internal organs couldn't digest it and had to be surgically removed." Irung looks disappointed.
"The first generation always has flaws."
"The first generation?" Pifu asked.
“The first generation does not mean the first to be tested. Previously, many experiments were carried out. We just carry on." Irung explained. “But you could say we are close to our goal.”
Irung continued, “In the same experimental period, the First Generation, there were Rurimi, Taringa, Anya, I, and Piele. You are the first second generation, after Piele. You will meet the others after this.”
"Next!" Irung grabbed Pifu's hand and brought her to the front of another room.
"This is your room now, previously occupied by Piele. Piele has a very sensitive sense of touch, or even too sensitive." Irung looked sadly at the empty room.
"As said before. Piele always feels excruciating pain, whether it's cold or hot, when the wind blows through her skin," Tieden lowered his head.
Pifu felt very annoyed in her heart. he cannot understand the thoughts of these people. they are the ones who make all the bad things happen. they are the ones who make it happen.
"But Piele's flaws have now become your strengths, thank goodness Pifu." Tieden smiled.
Pifu didn't return the smile. she didn't feel that it was anything to be grateful for, because she could end up like the others at any moment.
