( Hadrian p.o.v)
" It was queen Rhea , my mom killed your parents " immediately I said those words , I felt a
weight  taken off my shoulder , I've always wanted to tell her this but I was too afraid of how she would take it , I looked down to see her expression but her head was casted down , oh my , I hope she is not crying , I have no idea on how to console a crying woman , and I surely do not want her to cry .
So I used my hands to raise her by her chin , her eyes were already tear filled..
  "I'm so sorry I kept this from you , they tried to save him but mom got to him first " I said sincerely , but she shook her head and wiped the unshed tears then she looked at me , all shades of smile gone from her face , now replaced with a serious poker face , I thought I was the king of that but guess Luna had more hidden talents.
  " Tell me what she did... To you " she asked... more like a command... Why the sudden change of subject , I knew what she was talking about but I had vowed to never think or talk about that again to anyone ... it was a past I never wanted to relive again.. so I played dumb
   " I don't know what you're talking about " I lied , turning my head down and going all tough
   " You do , those visions I see in your eyes , there all happened right ? That woman is your Mother and the little is you , right ? "
  " Why do you wanna know " I asked voiced raised
"  Cause I need to know , I need to know , what she did that made you this harden , what she did that made that little smiling Hadrian become so cold , I need to know cause I care Hadrian , it hurts me too " she said jabbing her fingers to my chest with so much agony wavering through each word she spoke , there was so much sincerety to her words that broke a wall in my heart , those walls I've been trying to keep in check since...
   " I was eight , Mom has always hated pure blood of magic , she hates the fact that she was born without magic , and most of all mad that her children where born with magic , she abused Zuka and I , verbally and physically , dad never did anything...." I sighed and then walked to the edge of my bed and sat down with my head in my palms , Luna walked and sat beside me .. resting her hand across my shoulder giving it a squeeze that told me she was there...
   " ...... Zuka never fought back , I always fought back even as an eight years old , I always asked myself why she blames us for something we couldn't control , why that was okay ... One I found mom sneaking out of the house , she had been doing that a lot , but that day I decided to follow her and so I did , I saw her talking to someone , a man , but I couldn't see his face , I heard mom saying that she had silenced king Killian , as a child although I didn't get the full meaning of that but I knew it was bad so I gasped , but that was a mistake because it gave out my presence , Mom found me and then gave me the worst punishment I could think of as a child "
I sighed again and muttered a little " this is gonna be awkward " ... I took of my pants but I still my briefs on and then I showed Luna the brand scar my mom left on me , right there on my inner thigh was the CURSED boldly printed into my skin ... Luna upon seeing it let out a gasp covering her mouth in shock and shaking her head in denial looking at me with pain written in her eyes...
  " She branded me that night with a hot branding iron at the same time flogged me with a hot rod , my screaming saved me , because dad came in but I had already passed out to see what happened next and then when I regained consciousness after a few days , I heard that mom was no more... That she had defected from the fallen astral society and was no where to be seen , promising to kill every pure everyone just like she did to your father , she fears the  prophecy that spoke about the great power of the king , but she never knew you were born , now that she knows , she hunts us everyday and night it, it either you join her or kill her , we can't let that happen ...we can't let her kill you , I stood up and then got into my pants again ... Turning to look down at her , and then giving her my hand which she took and stood up but surprised me by throwing her arms around me and giving me a tight hug which I reciprocated inhaling her scent like my life depended on it , I let out a sigh as I nuzzled her hair with my jaw , there were so soft , she didn't need to say anything .
Her presence and willingness to listen to me brought me so much peace , maybe I should just let her in , to my heart , when we together  , I felt completed , I did know what this feeling was but one thing I know is that I liked it... I pulled away from the hug and gave a little sincere smile .. this whole smiling was all new to me but it did feel .. good... I think ..
" Now let's go for that dinner with my dad "
