Chapter Thirty Five.

  ( Luna's Pov)
  "What did you see?"
Hadrian asked as we sat next to each other. After waking up from my vision, everything seemed foggy and skewed. My head spined and churned with questions. But there were no more questions of confusion. But of how I was gonna get the book. Everyone in the room, were weak and couldn't fight to save their life at the moment.
The silence in the room was loud enough to deafen me. Something was going on. Zuka was not talking as usual neither was she being clingy to Darren as she did before. No. Now all she did was stare. Stare at an endless depth of only what she could see. She was thinking about something. And she was thinking hard.
Storm sat close to Darren hugging his knees and keeping his head down like he was too ashamed to face the world. Us. Darren was stoic. I couldn't read his face. I couldn't guess what he was thinking. I only knew he was shattered. Shattered from something within. Broken like a fallen mirror on ice. I couldn't get his expression but I could see the pain that ran emitted his eyes. Sorrow.
Shelby was wiping the lense of her glasses and she was doing it slowly but harsh and absentmindedly staring at the floor but not the glasses. She was sad not about being stuck here with total strangers she couldn't care what fate beholds them but for her sister. Cat. Who was wrapped up in the fingers of Rhea. Being her lap dog and doing all the dirty things for the queen. This wasn't the life Shelby wanted, it was the life she feared.
King Asteroid was the epitome of grieve at the moment although I could see that he tried his best not to show but he wasn't doing a very good job at that. He would only glance at the door of the room like Rhea would open it anytime soon. I could feel the hope that he poured in the room and it was slightly intoxicating adding to this foggy feeling I was having.
Waking up from that vision, was like waking up to a new me. I wasn't entirely myself. I felt stuck in my head. The intentions of Crystal rang like the marching of a thousand ants in my mind. The only thing I could think about was why neither my mother or Crystal was willing to help me and most of all why was Crystal saying "We" when she talking to me.
  " Luna? Are you okay?"
I snapped out of my thoughts.
"Yes. Yes. Uhmmm I just spaced out."
   " You sure you're okay?"
" I'm fine.!" I said reassuringly finding his hands to give it a squeeze.
" What was your vision about?" He asked. I sighed. Finding it hard to concentrate on the details of the vision. I looked at Hadrian. He hard grown a stubble over the week. Was it a week? I really didn't know! But it wasn't bad on him. He looked more handsome. His hair has grown longer and as much as I loved his long hair they really needed a cut and some braiding. I took that to note as one of the things I'll be doing for him once we leave this hell. His eyes looked ate with so much eagerness and fear. The eagerness I could say was for the answer to his question. But the fear? I couldn't decipher the reason. His hazel eyes were more captivating than ever before. They now held magnets of comfort. Staring into his eyes was like watching a dance of the galaxy with the sun. Like I said captivating.
    I missed him.
His cuteness when he was angry and shy. His awkward way of showing his concern. His annoying yet ever pleasing company. His voice. His smile. His frown. His hair. His encouraging words. His everything. Damn I've never imagined saying this but I wanna bub his nose and let him know how adorable they were. I want him to know how amazing he was. And so without warning I pulled his head down by the nape of his neck as I planted my lips to his. Desperately. Heatedly. I was like a dear that panted for water. And maybe the water I needed now was his saliva. His tougue kissing my tougue. Pulling them to submission.
" Please get a room." Zuka deadpanned.
We chuckled as we pulled out.
" Zuka there's no other room here." Was Hadrian snarky comeback.
  I laughed.
" I've got something to tell you guys." I announced.
Everyone perked up. Including Shelby who I thought was no longer with us in this realm.

   " So.."
" Wait!" Zuka stopped me, pointing over at Shelby. "She's not supposed to listen, is she?"
" Shelby is a friend. Right Shelby?" I said. Turning to Shelby.
She only starred at me stoicly. But I could hear the silent yes she was saying. I could tell she was just worried about her sister and didn't have much energy to argue with Zuka.
   " See?" I pointed.
" I still don't trust her. Don't want another traitor here." She said glaring lightly at Darren who let out a little wince.
" Zuka!" King Asteroid called. " Enough!"
" Go on, Luna." He instructed.
" I've been having countless visions since I was brought to this place. A woman. I don't who she is or where she is from. But the first time I saw her was as me. I know I don't make sense. This all sounds so stupid..." I sighed trying to find my strength again. I was exhausted. " I.. She was inside me and I was in her. We were the same. At first I didn't know until I looked at my reflection in a pond and I saw it wasn't my face. It was someone else. Her face..."
" Luna did you get her name?" Storm asked.
" Crystal. Her name is Crystal."
They all gasped. No too loud to be disturbing but enough to let me know that they knew something.
" What! Do you know who she is?" I questioned.
   No one spoke.
" Who is she?" I asked again.
  Silence
Silence
Silence
Silence
"WHO IS THE HELL IS SHE?" I snapped.
" She's the goddess. The wood goddess." Hadrian answered not looking at me.
" Why do I see her. Why is does keep saying "we'. "
   "She says that?" Zuka inquired.
" Oh yes she says that and nonsense about how we are one. How we made a mistake before. How we are being punished. How we have to remember. How we have to do things that I don't even know about. Things I'm so confused about. Things I'm so freaking tired of.."
  "Luna stay calm!" Storm muttered.
" How could I stay calm? Storm I'm this close to losing my mind.." I pinched my finger. " I wanna know what's going on with me. What is it she wants. Why wont she leave me alone. Why can't I. Live. A. Normal. Life." I said those words with enough malice in me to ice the ocean and just as I was done saying it. The wall of the room gave a very long and loud crack.
" What's going on." Zuka asked.
" She's doing it!" Shelby answered.
   " Who? " Zuka again.
    " Luna." Storm said.
Enough looked at me. Hadrian took my face in his hands. Looking and searching my face for any trace of calm.

" Luna. You have to listen to me. You have to calm down. Okay. Breathe. It's okay to be confused. It's okay to not want this life. But look around you. We are as confused as you. We don't wanna be here too. But we have to. For our dear Astralians. For our people. For the mothers who have lost their children. For the father who have lost their sons. For your father. For your mother and for your grandma. The people you love. You're scared and that's okay. But I know you're the bravest person I've ever met. I believe in the mighty things you can do. I believe you were born for great. I believe you because... Because I love you. Yes I love you Luna and I wish above that you love yourself too. Okay? We are going to end Rhea. And we'll do it all as abnormal people. Because who cares about normalcy. No one. Not any of us in this room and you shouldn't too. okay."
I felt the wetness that streamed from my eyes to my face. Warm bask of hope relived. I was calm.
I know why I had to fight.
Not for Revenge.
But for Love
Love.
Love.
Love.
Although I still wished for normalcy deep down I knew my life was no longer normal and I had to accept that fact. I had to come out of being a coward. I had to save my people. I wasn't just going to be a hero. I was going to be abnormal. And for the first time in my life I smiled about that.
I nodded like a child. Hadrian softly wiped the year from my eye. The walls stopped cracking. I turned to face the people I called family. The people I was fighting with and for. Their faces only screamed concern and love for me.  Peace was all I felt right now. I s
" Why did that happen?" I pointed to the wall.
Darren stood up abruptly.
" You said. In one of your visions. She was in you. Right?.." He turned to me for answer and I nodded. " And when she spoke, she said 'we', what else did she say?"
" She said something about the source bringing us back to end. That we were the beginning to all this. That we made a mistake before. And that I should find the book. Grandma gave it to me. But should be in the castle back in our realm." I thought aloud.
" No it's here. I got it with me but I was too late. Rhea found us before we could escape." Storm said.
" Why was the book here?" I asked.
" No time for that. How do we get this book?" King Asteroid chimed.
I could see the look in everyone's face. They were hiding something from me and I wanted to know what it was. But Darren sensed my curiosity as he answered loudly.
" I took the book. It was me. I only wanted to save Storm. No one knew but Rhea had planted the butterfly poison inside him and it was to kill him within three days. Only she had the antidotes and to get it I had to do what she said. I had to get her the book. I know it was wrong and you all have the right to be mad at me. I deserve to be punished my king. Zuka I might not be right any longer in your sight but I would never cause any harm to my people. I would never cause harm to you. I deserve your hatred. I apologize to everyone and I hope ..." He didn't finish, Zuka took the speech from him.
" Stop. No one hates. At least not me. We're just angry. Angry that we didn't notice. It must not have been easy for you. But aye let us be angry. It's not about you. It's us. And you're always right to me."
Darren must have been greatly touched by her speech, because I could see the hint of unshed tears in his eyes. Whatever must have happened between them was not to divide them but to make them grow. To make them understand each other better. To know better.
Storm cleared his throat. Adjusting his glasses.
" I'm not sure of this theory yet but I think the goddess has been reincarnated. And apparently she got the Spine removal as punishment by the source. She wouldn't remember anything from her past life. She would live a life of agony and regret but she wouldn't know why. She would think of her opportunity as a curse and only if she passes the test will the punishment be removed and then she'll regain her full potential. " Darren concluded.
All eyes came to me.
"Luna is the reincarnated goddess." Storm said with realization staring into space.
  " What?" I blurted.
" It all make sense. The visions. The book. Why would it be so important. The book of sage is said to be used by only the goddess in ancient times. And the goddess in her vision told her to find it. The only explanation is that Luna is the reincarnated goddess." Hadrian confessed.
I suddenly felt cold.
Hugging my knees.
The urge to vomit was stronger than ever.
"Luna?" I perked up.
Shelby was speaking.
" She's coming. Whatever she says agree to it. That's the only way you can leave this room."
Goodbye normalcy.
