Luna's pov.
This world was really beautiful from all the sights I got to see, the clouds here were different from that in the human realm, these clouds were red at all times, but only gets darker by the night, I guess that's how the time was determined by here, we finished the tour and Hadrian said we had to search for this legendary Akuta.
He does not know what the said Akuta looked like but that the way we could find him will be through his scent, An akutas scent is known to be pungent, so this Akuta must be good at hiding his scent to live among humans for this long, we are going to have a hard time finding him.
We entered a street called middle eye street, weird right, tell me about it. It was a very quiet and isolated street but was still beautiful, green trees occupied most of the space and since it was almost sunset, you could hear the birds chirping, Hadrian said this was a good start in looking for the Akuta, from his research Akutas were known to keep to themselves and if anything screamed keep to yourself it was this street, we rounded a corner of the street as we walked into an alley, it was so quiet you could a pin drop.
" Hadrian he lives here?" Zuka asked with agitation and a little bit of fright in her tone
"I don't know .. we just have to keep searching maybe ask someone ?" Hadrian answered, marching forward
"I don't know, this place is just so creepy and .... And dirty" Zuka replied, is she afraid of dirt?
"You can go back if you want, " Hadrian said turning back to look at Zuka with a pissed-off face
" Oh please hades, don't look at me that way I'm not the cause of your pain " Zuka retorted
" What did you just say ?" Hadrian questioned, he was pissed that was sure, this was not the time for this, we had to find that Akuta, I sighed as I rounded another corner that led to another alley but froze when I saw a creature, this one was nothing like the Bektu, this one had the body of a beast, long ears, sharp fangs, long claws and as hairy as a bear, but nastier
"Guys...?" I called out to them to make them see what I was seeing but they were still in their world
"Guys!!!!" I yelled
"What is it Luna," they both said at once
" You have to see this," I said still keeping my eyes on the creature, they turned to face the creature, and Zuka let out a gasp
" No way, how did it get past the force field of the city" Zuka inquired
" What the hell is that thing " I questioned
" It's an Akuta, stay close everyone, and remember do not go close to it " Hadrian instructed, and I wondered how were we supposed to fight this thing without getting close to it
A snarl and growl brought my mind back, the Akuta was marching towards us now and as we turned to run, right behind us stood another Akuta, another appeared beside it, so it was now Akuta against three of us, and we were surrounded.
I summoned my twin daggers, Hadrian summoned his twin sword while Zuka summoned a bow and arrows
"Zuka seriously ?" I asked cause I didn't think that was going to help her
"What, this is the only thing I'm good in skills, and never underestimate my archery baby," she said with a smirk
The Akuta were already matching closer to us ...
"What happens if we get close to them," I asked holding tight to my dagger
" We lose our magic core for 24 hours " Hadrian was the one to answer
" I say we do it and get over it " I suggested
" I second Luna on this one, told you it was a bad idea coming here"
Zuka retorted
" Be careful " Hadrian said and then looked at me when I saw an Akuta coming up at him
" Hadrian look out !!!" I shouted, I never got to see what happens next because I heard a snarl behind me, I turned to face the Akuta and immediately stabbed it in the stomach and took my dagger out, but there was not even a drop of blood on it, my eyes grew wide with shock, it looked at me and then let out a roar, as it gave me a backhand which hurt like a bitch, I spat the blood out of my mouth
" You would regret that, " I said, it was coming in for another punch but I dodge and gave it a quick kick on its abdomen, landed a punch on its jaw as I stabbed its neck, but still nothing, I know I heard something about a stabbed to the chest weakening it but I still had to find out what could kill it, so I shouted to the others while landing another punch to the Akutas jaw
"Know what could kill this thing ?"
" Nothing I've heard of , just weakened it , we have to get out of here , Hadrian has been injured " as I heard the last sentence , I felt a pang in my chest , and I got really angry , that I closed my eyes and at that I saw a vision. I saw a man, he was a redhead just like me. And I couldn't see his face, but I somehow I felt like he was someone I should know. I saw that he was fighting with an Akuta , he brought his sword down cutting through the hair of the Akuta and immediately that Akuta burnt to ashes, I opened my eyes with a gasp. But the Akuta already landed a punch on my stomach , I groaned in pain as I looked at it with a smile , now I knew just how to kill it , I summoned back my daggers and cut through the hair on its arm and then it let out a loud shriek as it melted to ashes , I turned to the others and saw that someone was already with them , a man of maybe twenty five or somewhere in his early twenties , he took a sword from Hadrian and cut through the hairs of Akutas and that was the end of them , I immediately ran to Hadrian who had his hand to his stomach and was bleeding badly , I helped him get sitted on the ground, I guess the claws of the Akutas did this, he was in so much that he didn't even a utter a word , just starring at the guy in front of us
" Who are you? " He asked the new guy
" Good question, well my name is Darren for a Start," he said all calm, and then turned to look at me
" Who are you... I saw what you did, the only person that I know could kill an Akuta is no more, how did you know?" Darren inquired and then everyone turned to look at me,
"I don't know, ...I just saw it in a vision right in the middle of the fight, it's like someone pushed it into my memory or something " he looked at me intently as he said
" You look so much like them "
"Like who, and who are you "
He smiled mischievously
"I think you can figure that out by yourself"
I closed my eyes and I got a vision of an Akuta standing by a seashore beaten and looking wreck and then suddenly he transformed into a man, not just any man but Darren ...., I opened my eyes and saw that he still had that mischievous smile
" I know who you are, you are the foretold Akuta ".
