Ben and Tricia laid next to each other in their beds. Ben laid in his sleeping bag while Tricia had a futon. The rest had gathered at a corner of the room playing the card game. Ben realized Tricia had been looking up to the ceiling for so long without saying. He could tell something was going on in her mind. "What are you worried about? The death of the driver?", he questioned. "Not just the death...how he was poisoned still baffles me", she responded immediately, staring at him. "I get your point. He bought that food along the road on our way here", he said and thought about it, "Maybe Mr Joseph is right, we nay have a traitor amongst us", he alluded. "That's what he claimed", she said vaguely, "Which I feel is the truth", she sat up. "But that doesn't end there...", she looked round to make sure no one was close by, "I feel he's the traitor. He's the one that poisoned that food", she said in a low tone. Ben sat up in surprise. "He was with the JS2 students when that JS1 dude saw the driver about to die and informed us. Why then suspect him of killing his own driver?", he argued. "Before he joined the JS2 students, he was with the driver while he ate. I remember that very well", she averred. Ben thought about what she said. "I don't know about this one", he said. "I'm sure of what I'm saying. I don't know why I feel Mr Joseph has something to do with the death of the driver", she said. Ben looked round before he said to her in a low voice;"What do you intend to do now?" "I'll make sure I uncover the truth", she whispered into his ear. "Hey Ben!", a guy named Simon called him, "Aren't you guys joining us in the game?", he gestured. "We're coming Simon", Ben responded and turned to Tricia, "Let's go join the rest." Tricia heaved a sigh and got up, putting on her headband. "Let's get going then", she said. Ben joined her and they went to be with their fellers. * * * When all the JS3 students had gone asleep, a boy amongst them, who laid close to the door was having trouble while asleep - he was having a nightmare. He rolled left and right continuously until he forced himself out of dream land. He sat up, drenched in sweat. He placed his hand on his chest as he panted. "Father Christmas?", he gasped out in shock. He looked round and saw everyone else sleeping peacefully. "I shouldn't wake anyone up...it was a mere nightmare", he said inwardly. He laid in his sleeping bag so he could go back to sleep. As he laid down, the hand of Father Christmas slowly gripped his neck. He shook off his head and sat up, only to see no one, not even his fellers were in the room. Except for him, the room was completely empty. He got up out of fear and rubbed his eyes, hoping he was only hallucinating. To his greatest fear, he was not. His heart was racing. He saw two students walking past the room and he headed quickly for the door. "Wait for me!", he called on them. But when he peeped out of the room, there was no one on sight. "Thought I just saw two folks walk pass this room", he thought, looking back into the room. "Where's everyone?", he felt terrified and worried. He heard a very weird sound coming from the other side of the corridor. He stepped out of the room, squinting into the darkness but to no avail. "Anyone there?!", he raised his voice. The door behind him suddenly shut on its own, producing a loud thwack that increased his adrenaline level a little bit. He turned its handle but the door could not open. Out of frustration, he shook the door violently and even kicked it hard but it never opened. He felt irritated and yelled out of rage. Stuck in the middle of the dark, he did not know how he would find his way. Anyone nearby?!", he yelled but got no response in return. He turned left and right. "I think the closest room to me is the JS2's...and that's my left", he pointed. Slowly and steadily, he walked towards the room. "The dark is really creepy", he said to himself, still feeling very frightened. He used the wall as his support. When he felt a door, he sought for the handle. He opened the door into an extremely dark room. He stood by the door to ask;"Anyone here?!" He got no response. "Now this is freaking me out!", he increased his voice. He slowly stepped into the room and bumped into someone he could not see. "Who's standing on my way? Turn on the lights!", he demanded. The person made no move, not saying anything as well which annoyed the boy. "I'll turn it on myself!", he muttered. He searched for the switch on the wall and turned it on. He saw the bloodstained Father Christmas glaring at him. "Jesus Christ!", he yelled and ran away. Father Christmas chased after him quickly. "Stay away from me!!", the boy shouted at the top of his voice severally as he ran away. Father Christmas caught up with him and held him at the neck, gripping it so tightly until blood began to gush out. It held the boy high in the air. Outside dream world, the boy was struggling in his sleeping bag as blood gushed out of his mouth. Gradually, he was giving up as he breathed faster. He soon gave up the ghost... * * * Tricia woke up from her sleep that same night. She searched for her phone close to her and switched on the flashlight. She confirmed everyone was sleeping before she slowly crept out of the room without being caught. Little did she know Ben was awake all along. "Where's this girl heading to now?", he wondered. He slowly went after her. Tricia went down to the big living room, looking around. "Where's the way to Mr Joseph's room?", she struck a thinking pose. As Ben slowly descended the stairs, she sensed she was being followed and turned behind suddenly to get the person by surprise. Ben was quick though, he went down to hide behind the barricade. With darkness everywhere, Tricia could not see anyone at the stairs and looked away, assuming no one was really there. She turned to a passage directly by her right. She slowly went towards it, feeling it was the way. Ben stood up and watched her intently. She slowly went into the passage while Ben had descended the stairs. He quickly but quietly went to the passage, hiding by the wall. He peeped into the passage to know where Tricia was heading to. "Is she heading towards Mr Joseph's room? What does she want to do there?", Ben felt confused. Tricia used the walls at both sides as support while she crept into the dark passage. "Got to find out if Mr Joseph's up to no good", she said inwardly. Ben slowly went into the passage to keep up with her. A door was heard being opened and both of them had their hearts miss a beat. Ben quickly hid behind the wall, right in front of another room. Tricia fidgeted, not sure of a good place to hide. Ben saw this and went to her rescue. He quickly pulled her to himself, right where he was hiding. Before she could scream, he covered her mouth with his palm. "Shhhh!!", he hushed her, "It's me Ben", he whispered. Tricia was surprised to see Ben. She took his hand off her mouth. "What are you doing here?!", she squeaked. They heard the footsteps of someone approaching and shut their mouths. They went closer to the door to avoid being seen. Mr Joseph slowly walked past them, out of the corridor and into the living room. He headed for the door leading to the outside. "Where's he going to by this time?", Tricia whispered but was hushed again to stay silent. They both peeped out of their hiding place and though they could not see clearly, they knew for sure he was at the door. Mr Joseph slowly opened the door - it produced a squeaky sound. He looked round to make sure he was not being watched. The coast seemed clear to him and he left the building, slowly closing the door. Ben gestured at Tricia to fellow him. They both went into the living room, creeping towards the windows. They watched Mr Joseph taking a narrow path into the thick woods. "Where's your director heading to?", Ben asked Tricia. "YOUR director is heading into the woods", Tricia gazed at him. They waited for a while for him to go deep into the woods before they would follow him. "Let follow him", Tricia tapped on Ben's shoulder and swiftly went for the door. Ben followed her. She opened the door and they both left the building. Ben closed the door slowly and they followed Joseph into the woods. A student in SS1 woke up from his sleep feeling thirsty. He picked up his water bottle just beside him, standing at the window to drink water. After he had two gulps, he saw Tricia and Ben tiptoed into the woods in a suspicious manner. He hurriedly closed his water bottle and kept it beside his sleeping bag. What are they up to?", he thought. Looking around and seeing everyone fast asleep, he got a torch and left the room quickly but quietly. As soon as he got out of the room, he had a second thought about you actions. "Should I go after them or I'm making a big mistake?", he asked himself. After a while, he shrugged off his shoulders and ran down the stairs. "I'm going to find out what they're up to", he said.
