Sky City Inter-high cup.

Molly drove down to the court and she saw the fully dressed Leo sitting on one of the benches. She was blue to notice the little bruises on his face and she could tell that this wasn’t due to training alone.

“Leo, are you alright? You seem injured.” She said as she approached him after parking her car. Leo didn’t say anything to respond as he was deep in thought. If there were people like Mr. Zack in the world who had techniques like that but twisted brains, who knew what would happen to the world. He felt like he was really weak, even when he just thought himself strong.
Molly bent beside him and inquired about what was wrong with him but Leo was unresponsive. Molly noticed that she was being ignored but she felt like for Leo to be like that, something must’ve happened to him. Also, she noticed some red points on his body, some of which had cuts and bruises on them.
“What happened to to? Who did this to you?” She asked with a concerned tone as she opened Leo’s sleeves and she saw a lot more of those bruises. Leo exhaled and stood up suddenly, making Molly to look up to him.

“It’s not a question of who? He’s just testing me. But I promise I’ll rub he and his team on the floor.” Leo exclaimed with determination. Molly was at loss for words as she didn’t know who or what Leo was talking about. Seeing this, Leo shook his head and smiled.
“Don’t worry aunt. I’ll heal. I heal fast you know.” He smiled. Molly faked a smile too but she was deeply worried inside. She wanted to figure out what Leo meant by what he said earlier but she decided to put that at the back of her head and helped Leo in returning all the traffic cones and barriers into the truck to be returned.
***********
It was a Tuesday morning and everyone in the city, or many people in the city were heading towards the main basketball stadium in the city. That was where the tournament was to be hosted. The Sky City stadium. The gate was already packed and they people rushed to purchase entry tickets. Only the school teams were allowed entrance into the stadium without any sort of hinderance.

The school’s teams arrived and the first to get there was Sky hills high. Fans cheered for them as the players walked briskly into the stadium. The fans around cheered for them, followed by lots of almost blinding flashes from the camera of reporters from various news agencies.
Just immediately after all six of their players went inside, Bennighton Academy’s students walked on the pathway meant for players to enter the stadium. They wore orange jackets and a pair of orange trousers to match. The looks on their faces remained as serious as ever, and they walked into the stadium like soldiers prepared for war.
One of them happen to be a little bit famous among the people, as a lot of people cheered for him. Although not much, it was still substantial. James Rodriguez, Bennighton Academy’s power forward and a player famous for his speed was greeted with a lot of cheers from the people on this day. Today was the first day of the tournament, so all schools were to attend, in order to begin the introductions and after that, a game will commence.
Elian Comprehensive high school’s bus stopped at the entrance of the stadium and the passengers, who happen to be Leo and his team, walked out. Their appearance seemed strong and overbearing... or so I would like to say. They looked like an exhausted little team. They weren’t allowed a bit of rest since before the game.

Leo specially trained Logan, Quincy, and Tyler with and without his superpowers. He did it so as to improve both himself, and his teammates. This got to a stage that Quincy could almost feel like he was playing with two different Leo’s, one who had the skills but was slow, and another who had both skills and speed. However, If he were to use his powers all the time, he would end up improving only his teammates and not himself.
“Yaaawwn...” Eddie yawned and stretched as he had been asleep throughout their journey to the stadium. “...what a day.” He said tiredly. Tyler scoffed.
“You’d better not fall asleep on the court. We’ve got a game with Sky Hills High today, you know.” He scolded. Eddie joined his hands together, rested the back of his head on it, and opened an eye as he glanced at Tyler.

“Humph. Don’t underestimate your senior, dumbass.” He murmured. Tyler frowned and walked away from him. Everyone alighted from the bus and the driver drove to a parking lot to get the bus parked.

Leo and Logan looked around and they could see the crowd around the stadium. Of course, people made way for them, seeing the clothes they wore, which represented their school. They all wore a blue armless inside and a blue and white jacket with blue trousers and a pair of sneakers.

Mrs. Hale walked to the front of her boys and examined them all from the front.
“Look alive boys. This is the day we’ve been training for...” she said but seeing the unconvinced and tired looks of her team, she was a bit stunned, “Was the training too much?” She asked with a bit of a worried tone.
“YES!” The whole team said tiredly in unison. Even Leo was exhausted. Despite using his powers, he could notice that Quincy was catching up slightly, and his speed was now almost at the peak of the human capability.
“Sorry about that boys...” Mrs, Hale apologized embarrassingly before clearing her throat, “Don’t worry. You’ll get to rest well after today‘s game.” She said and the boys cheered.
They walked on the pathway to the stadium entrance but people didn’t cheer for them. Instead, some even booed at them and gave them thumbs down.

Leo was a bit confused and he asked Logan about it. Turns out their school had either been last, or second to the last position in the previous tournaments. Leo was surprised and began to think that all the schools in Sky City had better players, which made him extremely curious.
Just immediately, the crowd all turned to look behind the boys and they cheered heavily. The shouts were just too much that it piqued the curiosity of Leo and his teammates and they turned to look behind them. They suddenly spotted six boys approach them. Precisely, they were walking towards the entrance of the stadium. Leo and his team just happen to be on the path, so it looked like they were walking towards them.

The six boys walked briskly and confidently on the pathway, completely paying no attention to their surroundings. They also had a bit of serious faces. Leo particularly frowned when he spotted the guy in front. While his teammates were still admiring those set of players, they passed them by without paying them any attention.

Just when the guy leading those boys passed Leo by, the latter felt a strong aura from the boy. Although it was for a split second, his instincts rang warning bells. After they were all gone, Leo stroked his chin.
“Who are those boys?” he questioned. Logan sighed and explained
“They are the best of the best in Sky city. Royalty High school’s basketball team. As strong as Brighton acad’s boys are, they’re still no match for those set of players.” He stated. Leo stared intently at the back of the player leading the team and the latter turned his face sideways but his eyes were on Leo’s eyes.

“What’s that guy’s name?” Leo asked Logan, who traced Leo’s eyes to know who he was talking about and he spotted a red haired boy.
“Oh, that’s Ace Lexon, the ‘ace’ of the team and also their captain. He’s extremely powerful and some say he performs the role of a point guard and a power forward at the same time.” He claimed.
“Hmmm.” Leo pondered for a while and stopped gaz8ng at the guy.
‘It seems like there are more people like Oscar alive.’ He thought before sighing.
They entered the stadium too and they were met by a guide.
“Welcome, Elian Comprehensive high’s team. I shall lead you to your locker room.” He said. The guide was an old man and after walking a distance, he opened a door on his left. On the door, the name of the school was tagged on it.
“This is it.” He said and Mrs. Hale thanked before her and her boys walked in. Eddie crashed on the bench and began to rest his muscles. Tyler got angry and pushed him off the bench, as he had taken the space he and some other were meant to sit on.
THUD!
The latter landed on the floor and groaned.
“Lazy bone. Although Coach’s training was hard, it’s not enough to make us that exhausted.” He scorned. Eddie was naturally a lazy player to begin with. The rest of the team laughed and the dropped their bags. After a few minutes of discussion, they heard a knock on the door.

“It’s time boys. Please go to the court now for your introductions.” A voice came from outside the door and informed the team. It was the old man who had shown thethem their locker room.
Without wasting time, the team walked out of the door and headed to the court. Logan and Tyler were feeling very nervous, as this was their first game. Logan only joined this game in game in order to watch and keep an eye on Leo, lest he goes overboard again.
They came into the open court and they were met by the cheering fans and lots and lots of light flashes from the cameras from the press in the stadium. Truly, it was a spectacular time for all the players on the scene.
