That came out wrong, I was shocked by her reply but my feedback was totally not intentional, just struck by the surprise answer which have overwhelmed me. The coaches eye is on me, the players too, trying to figure out what made me scream that way.
“ I am sorry coach..... I didn't meant to bother you guys, I am really sorry ”.
Everyone of them gently turned their attentions back to what they were originally doing, except for one person whose eye lingered, Joe.
     What is he thinking?, Is he trying to get in-between me and Rose?, Trying to be that side man who stays at the corner showing the girl she deserves better. I might have overlooked the situation that occured between Deborah, Steve and me, but at this point, with Rose on the picture, he better back off or he will face the consequences.
     “ What do you mean by that?”, I asked her with a whispering voice which won't catch the attention of the players and the coach, eyes fixed on her, over looking the training the coach asked me to watch and learn attentively.
     “ You heard me clearly Benny, no need to tell you anything if you aren't interested about what I am going to say, concerned actually..... But both of them are the same ”.
I happen to like it when she speaks, saying out everything in her mind, even an ordinary passing idea. I have to resist the urge to continue this banter with her, it might be fun at this moment, but as it goes on, it might have a great or bad ending, both options will put me in thought, better to stay out of it all through.
     Getting my attention back on the training, I overlooked the debate between us, not putting up a picture on my face showing that I am still in thought, but acting relieved with a bright expression showing that I care less about the hanging debate between us. With my mind focused on the game, I felt her head rest on my left shoulder, her leg crossed and hands on top of her bag which rested on her thighs. 
     The training was over, we didn't spoke to each other through out the activity again and I am wondering whether she's fast asleep on my shoulder or still wide awake, I don't want her to leave from our current position, I want her to remain in this position but since the training is over already, I have to act up like I am supposed to, leaving behind this desperate feeling of sitting rooted on my spot.
Planting a kiss on her forehead, she spoke up, taking me aback from someone who seemed fast asleep. 
“ What's in your mind Benny?”, she got her head up from my shoulder, a wide smile on her lips, I can't seem to take my eyes off, so tempting to plant my kiss on her lips next.
     “ I heard this voice in my mind saying, this is the perfect girl, take care of her...... I came to feel like I have to give you a kiss, so I did”.
The smile on her face reached her eyes, definitely blushing by my romantic words, she brought her hand up to my right cheek, giving me this intense stare before speaking out.
“ I am scared.....”, “ of what?”.
I asked, not expecting that from her, after a brief pause which felt like forever, she released the words which seems like a huge burden on her.
“ I am scared of losing you Ben ”.
     Two things comes to mind, and on this stage, I have to live with the confusion, because asking further question about her confession sounds much like a threat to our new relationship. What is she really scared of losing me?, Does she mean it like she doesn't want to lose me to other girls?, Or she doesn't want to lose me like she lost Brian?, What if she means that she doesn't want to lose me to death itself?.
At this point, I am not supposed to ask, just do something that would validate her that I will always be here for her. I brought her closer to me, my hands went round her back and hers in mine as we shared a hug, I gently pulled her back, her eyes wet, tears full of emotion all round her eyelid as her eyes remained glued to mine, seeming like she was trying to see her answers in my eyes, I touched her lower lip with my right thumb, she remained calm like a stagnant water, feeling safe with me around, as I planted a kiss backed up with a lot of emotions on her lips, validating her that she will always be under my protection.
