"I'm really sorry, I didn't see her." Rhea said.
She keeps on blaming herself. They were both waiting outside the ICU.
"It's okay." he said and hugs her.
Rhea was feeling guilty but deep inside her heart was happy. Ash called her parents, his parents went to a trip and they had decided to come home.
"Damn it." he whispered.
Ash was thinking, what is she doing.
"What is she doing that time?" he asked her.
Rhea was trembling.
"We're just cooking and I told her to get the hot water for me to wash the vegetables but she tripped and fell." she said.
Ash groaned, he started to hate himself.. He also called Ivy and Ezekiel.
"Aunty and uncle were on their way." Ivy said, referring Ivanna's parents.
Ivy was staring at Rhea.
They were all waiting, until Ivanna's parents had arrived.
"Son, what happened?" they asked him.
"She was poured by a hot water." he said.
Her parents were very shocked, this is the first time their daughter was being hurt.
The doctor showed up, take off his mask.
"Are you her family?" he asked them.
They all nodded.
"Okay, she has burn all over her arms because I think she used it to cover her face and her stomach was also being burned." the doctor stated.
They all gasped.
"Hot water on the skin can cause a first- or second-degree burn. A first-degree burn causes only redness and heals in a few days. A second-degree burn is deeper. It causes a blister to form. The blister may break and leak clear fluid. It may become infected. Second-degree burns take 1 to 2 weeks to heal. In her case, I think the water was too hot and that leads her to a second-degree burn." the doctor said.
"So, do you mean it's not critical? does it damage my daughter's skin?" Mrs. Hendrix asked.
"No, it would be healed and it takes 1-2 weeks for it to heal. For now, the nurses will put her to her room." he said.
the doctor told them to wait at the lobby, they will call them after they transferred her to her room.
"What really had happened?" Ezekiel asked them.
Ivy saw Rhea still wearing the apron, she had a suspicious.
"Did you intentionally do it?" Ivy asked her.
Rhea and the boys were stunned.
"Ivy, what are you doing?" Ash asked her.
Ivy rolled her eyes.
"I know that you did that to her, my best friend is so careful and she doesn't want to hurt herself!" Ivy shouted at Rhea.
Rhes was trembling, she went to Ash's back.
"Ivy! that's enough, Don't blame her. It's just an accident." Ash said.
Ezekiel doesn't want to believe that Rhea has to do something with it.
"Accident? are you sure that it was an accident? If Ivanna woke up, I'm going to ask her." Ivy said.
Ezekiel cooled Ivy down, Ivanna's parents went to talk to the doctor.
"Is she already okay?" they asked him.
"Yes, for now. We've injected her some pain killers for her, not to feel the pain." the doctor said.
The doctor told them that they can already visit her. Ivanna was still in pain, blisters were growing at her skin.
"Oh my God." she said, she started to tear up.
She remembered what happened, it's impossible for her to trip that easy.
"I remembered, I step into something or it was Rhea's foot." she whispered.
She was alerted when the door opened, revealing her parents and Ivy. Ash, Ezekiel, and Rhea were outside.
"Honey, are you okay?" her mom hugs her.
Ivanna just chuckled.
"Mom, I'm good. It's just burn." she said.
Ivy was touching her blisters.
"Hey." Ivanna said, she giggled.
They reassured that she was good and fine.
"Ash, why don't you go in?" Ezekiel told him.
Ash went inside to see her, Ivanna smiled.
"Are you okay?" he asked.
"Yeah." she said.
Then Ezekiel and Rhea went behind him, Ivanna's smile faded away.
"I'm sorry, If I know, I shouldn't told you not to do it." Rhea said.
Ivy was glaring at Rhea. Ivanna knew that it wasn't just a simple accident, she knew from the first place that Rhea planned it.
"It's okay." she just said.
Ezekiel was seeing what Rhea is doing outside, she was biting her nails. Ezekiel knew her, she was like that if she was guilty for what she had done so bad.
"Rhea." he said.
Ezekiel holds her arm tightly.
"Zeke, I'm hurting." she said.
"Tell me, Did you intentionally did that?" he asked.
Rhea's eyes widened and grabs her arm with so much force.
"How many times do I tell you it's not my fault." she said, firmly.
Ash was watching them.
"Don't you deny it Rhea, I saw how Ivanna looks at you and I saw in her eyes that you did that to her." he said.
Ash was shocked, he doesn't want to believe that she really did that.
"I didn't do it, why are you blaming me if she's that careless?!" Rhea said.
"Rhea, stop." Ash told her.
Rhea and Zeke stops talking.
"Zeke, get inside. Ivy is asking for you." he said.
Zeke was glaring at Rhea before leaving.
"Rhea, did you really did that?" he asked.
Rhea was mute, she was turning to pale and she started to bite her nails.
"Zeke is right, why did you do that?" he asked.
he wanted to hurt her but thinking she was so sensitive, he just remained calm.
"I'm sorry, I just want to take revenge on her for what she did to my hair, face, and dress." she bluffed.
Ash was shocked, she really admits it. His knuckles were being tightened.
"Rhea, that's not fair. You put her into danger." he said.
Rhea was shivering and holds his hands.
"Ash, please don't tell them." she pleads.
Ash was just staring at her.
"I'm sorry but Ivanna knows that you really did that to her." he said.
