That night I didn't sleep well thinking about what excuse I could make to my parents believe in me, I tossed and turned in bed while looking up at the ceiling of my room several times, it's not easy to lie especially that I'm not an expert, I'm easily pressured and feel guilty but this time I should get better at acting because my parents can't find out. Fortunately, there is no class on Monday, our professors have a Gender and Development program in Nueva Ecija and tomorrow is exactly Saturday, a long weekend so I can go to the kingdom of Evadarcia.
I decorated a few things that I put in my knapsack, the next day I opened my newly invented lie to my parents.
"Mommy, Daddy, I'm going to say goodbye to you, Raim, Endrix, Jake and Charles are going to a summer camp today and it's going to take a while, maybe we will be back on Monday," I looked at them and noticed that they stopped eating, my mommy frowned as if she couldn't believe what I was saying.
"Son, it's October now and when did October become Summer? Are you kidding us? Have you forgotten that summer camp starts from April to July?"
Tonks. I didn't think of that right away, my first attempt was sloppy again but I’m still persistent.
"Mommy, Daddy, it's true that my friends and I have an out-of-town mountain trip in Bukidnon to Mt. Kitanglad, but we're only going there quickly, we'll be back before we have class." I think fast, I remembered that Raim's parents had a mountain trip to Mt. Kitanglad and it was obvious that Raim was not with them on their vacation.
" Wait, do your friends' parents know about your Mountain trip? I have to call your friends and their parents so we can find out if what you are saying is true." My mommy was not convinced and really doubted that maybe I was just lying to them with daddy. My mommy stood up from her seat, and I could feel that she will contact my friends on the phone so I immediately took my cellphone from my knapsack and quickly texted and chatted my friends to inform them that my mommy would call their home telephone.
My mommy dialed Charles exactly and fortunately my friend answered the phone, I heard what kind of make-up stories he told to convince my mommy, when my mommy was convinced, she hanging up the phone, she returned to the dining table.
"Alright, I'm allowed you to go but make sure you come back on Monday and stay safe because Bukidnon is a bit far, I'm gonna call you every hours understand?"
Suddenly my heart beat faster with joy and nervousness, I got through the problem but there was a little guilt and a little fear as we went to the kingdom of Evadarcia.
After we had breakfast I got ready, I said goodbye to my parents and I listened to their many instructions before I left the house. My friends and I met near Ayala before we went to the far side of the woods. My friends also brought knapsacks and it looks like they ate a heavy breakfast before traveling, when we got to the woods it was a bit humid and there were fogs around, we immediately noticed Princess Aurora, Avena and their three friends animal waiting for us outside the house. When they saw us they greeted us with sweet smiles and warm greetings before Avena cast a strange spell on the land itself, she drew a palace and a high sun then closed it in a circle, then she closed her eyes and stuck the palms on the ground, she ordered us all to go inside the circle, we avoided going beyond the circle. Maybe that was the gateway to the kingdom.
A few minutes later the whole circle lit up, we were dazzled and almost blinded by the magnificence, we were suddenly absorbed by a strange light and we were thrown into a big black hole, we floated in the void while being absorbed by some gravity, my friends screamed until as we quickly plunged towards the cloud and fell to the ground, our eyes were closed, after a while, we opened our eyes, we were lying on the veranda but the veranda was mysterious because it was surrounded by fireflies, our hips hurt a bit because in the heavy fall, Princess Aurora, Avena, Boobay, Winy and Sahara gradually helped us to get up. When we stood up we were amazed when we observed the whole area, surrounded by silver and shining lights together with the very big and very spacious palace where there are many mushrooms and various strange plants lined up all around, there are also small faeries that are flying and look like dragonflies. I can also smell the sweet and fragrant aroma around me, like a combination of Jasmine and Rose wafting through the whole garden.
"We are here in the kingdom of Evadarcia," Avena said, my hair suddenly stood up when I heard her voice, at the same time someone opened the big gate of the palace door, we were greeted by the soldiers of the kingdom while someone was playing the flute and trumpet around, I think that signaled the return of the Princess Aurora in the kingdom.
Some palace officials came and showered us with sparkling glitters.
"Welcome back to the kingdom, Princess Aurora, Avena, Boobay, Winy and Sahara," greeted the many fairies in the hall at the same time.
Princess Aurora, Avena and the three animals were the first to enter the kingdom, followed by our friends, we slowly walked on the long carpet, in the kingdom hall I immediately saw the dear king sitting on the throne as well as the dear queen Princess Aurora ran and quickly hugged her mother. That scene was quite emotional especially when the dear king and the princess met again, the King came and spoke.
"My dear princess, forgive me if I hurt you in our argument before, I gave too much to my feelings and pride, I hope you will let me repent of my sins to you." said the King.
"Forgive me too, my dear father king, if I became stubborn and spoke curse against you. I am a rebellious daughter, and I hope you will accept me back into our kingdom," Princess Aurora hugged the beloved king tightly.
They finally apologized and reconciled but when the king saw me and my friends, his facial expression suddenly darkened, his tears and smile were replaced by strange anger and annoyance.
