"You used a trick properly but it wasn't enough, I'm still not satisfied, GET UP!" Avena helped me to get up and we continued to practice, I did not win her attacks and I tripped and fell several times until the night came, she jogged me towards the mountains and during our last practice I knocked her down before I completely fainted and fell asleep on the ground. When I woke up, I just saw myself lying on the bed in our room, there was a big jug of water on the table, Princess Aurora was next to me while my friends were on the other seat talking with Avena.
"How are you doing?" she asked while caressing my cheek.
"I'm fine, my princess. You have nothing to worry about." I reply.
"You can't make me worry especially about what will happen tomorrow. You don't know how strong Prince Azahil is, he has killed so many enemies of our kingdom and he is skilled in fighting. I don't want you to do this thing. and if there is another way you should not be in any harm caused by this," tears began to fall from Princess Aurora's eyes, I was concerned and immediately wiped her tears.
"Make up your mind, God will not abandon me, I will do everything just so that I don't lose you, and I will not let the evil of King Gaul reign in the kingdom," I quickly kissed Princess Aurora on the lips and there I felt comfort and peace of mind.
"MAJESTY, the dear king called you." A voice of a fairy entered the room door.
I was about to bid a goodnight to Princess Aurora.
"We have to leave, rest now. Tomorrow morning get ready to go to Gervana falls, goodluck and goodnight my love." Princess Aurora's assurance.
"Good night my Love." I replied to Princess Aurora and after that she and Avena quickly left our room. My friends and I started to rest and I didn't realize the time because of how tired I felt from the long practice.
The next day, before sunrise we woke up early, we ate breakfast and then we prepared for our journey, the fairies flew and Avena accompanied us in their flight with the soldiers, while Princess Aurora was with her parents and they reached Gervana falls first.
There was a mixture of nervousness and excitement in my heart while looking at the height, after a few moments we arrived at the mountains where there was a little land where the fairies danced and a very wide waterfall where the water flow was very strong from the high place Raim gulped and Charles, Jake and Endrix looked at each other, the towering cliff was terrifying and dizzying to behold.
There were some benches prepared on the ground near the mountain and right there the royal families sat on the majestic seats while the fairies and soldiers were around, I was dressed in a vest and armor but we didn't have shields on our heads and faces, I saw it was Prince Azahil and I noticed that he smirked at me as if insulting me, King Gaul whispered to him before he approached the direction of the king and queen, I also followed him and we gave respect before we stood up. We each took a shield, javelin and sword.
There was an announcer who spoke that thundered throughout the mountains.
"The duel between Prince Azahil and the mortal Lancelot begins today. Everyone is invited to watch and is forbidden to interfere in any battle that will take place. If either of them falls first at the Gervana falls he will lose and the one who wins until the end will be married to Princess Aurora and crowned as king, I will give the signal before the duel begins," something exploded in the clouds before we went down into the water, we are barefoot and I feel the cold brought by water.
After a few minutes Prince Azahil and I started fighting, He charged at me with his sword but I blocked my shield, he flew and attacked me many times, his force was strong, I couldn't jump and he didn't give me a chance to attack until he kicked and pushed me, I fell and got wet in the water. I just encountered such an enemy, I'm sure he will kill me.
"Oh what, mortal? Are you giving up?" he asked me boastfully.
"Over my dead body," I told him.
I rushed at him, our swords came together but he was like a stone hard to break, he kicked me in the side and cut me in the thigh, I fell back in great pain and even stepped on a small stone until I tripped, I was in a hurry stood up because he was going to attack me with the sword, I quickly got away but he punched me in the face. I stood up and hit him in the back with the shield and threw a javelin, he grimaced in pain but recovered immediately, he choked me but I stepped on his foot, I punched him in the side so he let go of me just as I faced him he punched me in the face and the worst thing was that he kicked me with a very strong force, the impact was so strong, it felt like my bones were going to break and my stomach almost turned upside down, I sprang and I completely fell into the waterfall, fortunately, I was clinging to the big rock otherwise I would have been taken directly by the strong current of water but it was too late because I was the first to fall.
"LANCE!!!" I heard the loud cry of Princess Aurora in the distance, she was crying but she couldn't do anything to save me.
"YEAH!!!!!" the fairies shouted as well as the soldiers. Applause one after another until the voice of the announcer thundered again.
"At this point, we are finishing the duel, and the winner of the duel is Prince Azahil, while Lancelot lost because he fell at Gervana falls."
I struggled to get up, Prince Azahil didn't even help me stand up, he turned his back on me as if nothing had happened, he picked up his shield as well as his sword and hurried to where the King and Queen were. I was greeted by my friends as well as Avena,
"Lance, I'm sorry we didn't do anything. I'm sorry you lost the duel," said Avena.
I was still wincing from the pain but I tried to speak.
"You don't have to say sorry, this is probably my fate,"
Raim and Charles helped me to walk while Jake and Endrix were behind us, I glanced in the direction of Princess Aurora, she was sad and crying while Prince Azahil paid respect to the King and Queen then he held the princess's hand, He was about to kiss her hand but Princess Aurora resisted so the queen scolded her. She did nothing and Prince Azahil kissed her hand.
