Princess Aurora and Avena took us to a magical room where our bed was surrounded by precious jewels and diamonds, probably the guests who used to stay in the palace.
"You rest here first and after a few minutes we will prepare your meals," said Avena.
"Thanks, but where are Boobay. Winy and Sahara?" I asked Avena when I noticed that they were not in the room with us.
"They have their own room here in the kingdom, they don't go with visitors," replied Avena.
After a few minutes, they both said goodbye to Princess Aurora and we were left in the room as friends. Raim lay down on the bed while Jake watched the whole room, Endrix was sitting on the chair while Charles and I were next to each other on the bed taking out our clothes.
"Wow! This room is so beautiful, and it's like there's a mini-air conditioner here so we won't get too hot." Raim said.
I looked at my cellphone, BLACKOUT and no signal.
"We won't stay in this place for long, we'll only be here for a while. After tomorrow's duel I'll know my fate."
"Dude, goodluck! I hope you yourself win the duel with Prince Azahil, feed him with dust." Raim ordered while Jake throwing a pillow at his face.
"Are you crazy? You underestimate the ability of a fairy too much, we don't know how powerful he is and I don't think Lancelot has a match with him so we don't know what can happen tomorrow, It's only a miracle if our friend survives ."
"Jake, don't talk like that. Let's trust Lance's ability, I'm sure Andrea and Princess Aurora will help us, they won't let Lance get hurt," Jake said.
"I shouldn't always depend on the help of Princess Aurora and Avena, I have to prepare for my reckoning with Prince Azahil tomorrow, I know my chance is 50/50 but I will try to fight," I said even though I am not sure that I will win tomorrow .
We went to another room inside the bedroom and there we changed clothes.
Several times someone knocked on the door, I opened the door and Princess Aurora appeared, she invited us to eat, we went to a small dining table far from the hall, maybe the guests were eating there, there were dishes prepared and what looked like bread stuffed with vegetables, cheese and sauce, I was confused as to what kind of food it was.
"Don't worry, it's the same as the sandwiches you eat in the world, Boobay, Winy and Sahara prepared it for you." Princess Aurora explained.
We grabbed the pieces of bread and took a bite, the bread was delicious and the vegetables were fresh. It's not like the foods of the world, it's a bit cold in the mouth and the bread dough is just soft.
"Those foods will keep you full all night, you won't be hungry by midnight." Princess Aurora said.
She gave us the glasses with milk, and the milk tasted a bit strange, like yogurt liquid, when we drank it, some strange energy enveloped our body. I'm sure there was some magic put in the food, after we ate some faeries appeared and they put the dishes away after that Avena invited us to go out to the palace, we also walked a little far and we went to a strange arena where we saw weapons hanging from a tree, there was a battlefield in the center of where we were standing, there was no one else in that place but our friends, Princess Aurora and Avena, I was confused why we had to go to the place that's why I asked Avena.
"What place is this? Why do we have to go here?"
"This is a battlefield and here the fairies practice every time there is a war or any battle, here you will practice until night for your fight tomorrow," he threw me a vest as well as a large and long sword, almost I will be out-of-balance with the weight of the sword. Raim and Charles almost laughed when they noticed my awkwardness.
After I put on the vest, Raim, Charles, Jake, Endrix as well as Princess Aurora moved away from us, I turned around and Avena attacked me with her sword, the impact was very strong and I fell back, she attacked me one after the other until to fall on the ground.
"GET-UP LANCE, SHOW ME WHAT YOU GOT," Avena ordered.
I was impressed with the fighting skills and agility of Avena, I can be sure that she is also a fairy warrior of the kingdom apart from being a gatekeeper. She looked like an Amazon, very strict and snob, she didn't let me rest and her eyes, hands, and feet were very quick to start with me.
"Focus, you need coordination of mind, hands, and feet in fighting." Avena said.
I can't attack her properly. She even cut my legs, nice and clean and she cut and injured my face with a small slice, I was already weak by that time and I was covered in sweat.
"LETS HAVE A BREAK," I signaled to Avena but she didn't listen to me.
"GET UP!" she ordered.
I'm getting irritated by her being bossy. I focused, just like I focused before playing baseball, I had to focus on my opponent in a way that I could trick her, Avena's movement was too fast and needed a distraction, just as I was about to kick the ground, the sand splashed in her eyes, she slightly closed her eyes and when she open her eyes, I suddenly rushed at her, I punched her in the side and quickly attacked her with the sword, she almost fell but she kicked me with her foot which caused me to fall to the ground.
My friends applauded one after the other and Princess Aurora seemed to be impressed with me as well.
