Days went by and the friendship between Steva and Tina kept growing stronger.
Now, they were practically inseparable as they were often seen together.
Tina now goes home with Steva in the latter's car as Tina's parents didn't have a car.
They often talk and chat a whole lot about random stuff.
They were like the perfect friends.
" Hey Steva, why do you have an inhaler in your bag? " Tina curiously asked Steva one day during break time.
" Well, I ... "
" You can talk to me you know. " She urged. " Are you asthmatic? "
" I am. " Steva replied after a moment of hesitation.
" Oh my! So it means you can't go near dust or fire? "
" Yeah. "
" Oh, so what stage are you in now? " She asked.
" Stage 2. "
" Okay, I am happy to know that you haven't gotten to the chronic stage yet. "
" Yeah... Same here. "
" So what do you usually do with the inhaler? "
" I inhale it whenever I get an attack to get better. "
" Oh wow! So does Asthma have a cure? "
" Not really, but it can be managed. "
" Oh, but it's still a little surprising to know this because you don't look like someone who's suffering from a deadly disease at all.."
" I guess so. "
" Let's head over to the cafeteria now and have some snacks. " She urged.
" Alright. " Steva replied and they soon left the class.
Stella who had been listening to their conversation just sighed.
She didn't know where this their friendship is going.
To be honest she had a bad feeling about this.
No matter how much she tried to shove this away but it's still there.
" Hey, Ella. " A manly voice called out.
Stella looked up and wasn't that Suprised to see that it was Jack.
He was the only one that calls her Ella apart from Steva.
They had gotten pretty close this day.
" Wassup? " She raised her eyelid.
" Umm, I need to borrow a dictionary from the library so can you help me out? "
" Really? And you think I'll fall for that? "
" Well,.. the truth is I want you to come with me to the cafeteria to have some snacks. "
" Oh, umm... Let me think. "
" Please... "
" Okay, I guess there's no harm in having snacks with you at the cafeteria right? "
" Yeah. " He replied with a grin.
Stella straightened the straps of her Schoolbag on her back as she stood up.
After what happened, she never left her bag in class.
" After you. " Jack said when he saw Her standing up.
Stella blushed a little as she walked ahead of him.
They got to the cafeteria.
Stella wasn't so Suprised to receive the hateful and envious glares from her fellow schoolmates.
This was one of the reasons why she wanted to refuse Jack.
But well, she decided not to.
" See here, she's so Shameless, after Cheating on her best friend she had the nerve to seduce The senior Prefect and boss him around. "
" I always saw her as innocent but never imagined she was like this. "
" She's a Bitch. "
Despite all the discussions going on.
Stella still felt calm.
She pulled out a chair for herself and began eating her Lunch after saying a short prayer.
" Anyone seeing you now wouldn't want to believe that you are the one those girls are glaring and talking badly about. " Jack who sat opposite her commented.
" Oh, they've got mouths so they can say whatever they want, I don't care. "
" That's the spirit. " He said before he began eating his snacks too in silence.
At Steva's table.
" I wonder when Stella and the Senior prefect became so close. " Tina commented Enviously.
" No idea. " Steva replied uninterested as she continued munching an apple.
" Aren't you going to comment? " Tina asked with Surprise.
" What am I supposed to say? It's not my business alright? So why should I comment? " Steva replied sensibly.
" Oh... " Tina replied gritting her teeth inwardly.
" So What's your plan for after school? " Jack asked Stella after they had finished having their snacks.
" Nothing much, just seat at home and have fun.." Stella replied Simply.
" Really? Aren't you going to learn a language or do voluntary work or something like that? "
" Not interested. "
" Alright, then. "
" What about you? " She asked.
" Well, I have decided to be a freelance writer for an online platform. " He said.
" Oh wow! That's great news! "
" Yeah, I am a big fan of Stelva@16. " He said and as if realizing something.
He stopped and stared at Stella who was in front of him and at Steva who was three tables away before exclaiming.
" Oh my! Are you Stelva@16? " He asked.
" Well, yeah. "
" What! So you are my favorite Writer and Role model??? " He squealed.
" Probably. " Stella replied but before she could comprehend what was going on, she was pulled up and into an embrace.
" Oh my! I can't believe that I am hugging my favorite Writer, this is like a dream come true! " He squealed like a child.
" Stop it, Jack! This is embarrassing! " Stella said as she broke the embrace.
" Am sorry, I just got too excited. " He apologized Sincerely.
" It's Alright, just don't do it again. " Stella said as she sat down.
" I will try not to next time. " Jack replied as he sat back down too.
" You are creating more enemies for me. " Stella mumbled but it was heard by Jack who possessed sharp senses.
" Oh, but I thought you weren't scared. " He teased.
" I am not but well it's better to be safe than sorry. "
" I apologize then. " He said again for the umpteenth time.
