Two weeks later
Military Governor Albert decided to let Bremo get engaged with Arci. And they wants to announce the engagement to the world.
Richard invited the press for a press conference and publicly declared that he will be chasing after Arci, since she is single now he has the right to chase after her fair and square.
Bremo became furious when he saw this and barged into his office.
He grabbed his clothes on the neck and punched him in the face immediately he saw him.
"How could you treat me like this? I have always been honest with you. How could you use such underhand tricks against me?" Bremo asked.
Richard removed his hand from his neck, "Okay, you have been honest with me so I'll be honest with you too Arci doesn't love you, she loves me"
"Impossible"
"Impossible?" He took out the talisman Arci gave him that he wore on his neck, "Have you seen this before? You and Arci spent so much time in the office together that you must remember that she would wear this talisman of peace around her neck. She got this from the temple, she asked for two"
"How dare you. We have been through so much together. I'd even sacrifice my life for her. How dare you?"
"Because i get her?"
"Yes, you are like the chosen one and everyone loves you but you don't understand what she has suffered during the past decade, and certainly not what her life is like in her family. Back then Runa was plotting against her and she was almost violated by that rascal Gregor what did you do? All you could think of was bring her close to you as your private Secretary. Have you ever thought how Arci was innocent in all this? Or why she made concessions why she compromised? And what did i do for her? I was willing to go after everyone that had hurt her, now do you know how i dare?"
"So you… You have always had feelings for her?"
"Yes i have always had feelings for her, she will only ever be my woman in this life let her go" Richard told him
"The two of us were brought together by our parents in an arranged marriage. You think that with a pathetic talisman of peace her father will accept you?"
"But she doesn't love you" Richard said calmly.
"She will learn to love me! As long as we get married and i treat her well enough she will learn to love me"
"That is not who you are"
"Right, I've always been humble and gentle. But this time I'm not going to stand aside is there anything wrong in pursuing my happiness? Why do you believe that i could never make her happy? Anything you can give her i can give her too and i can give everything you cannot! Why should i step aside?"
"Why? Because she will never love you!"
Bremo punched him in a stomach when he keep hearing this.
"Beat me I won't strike back but not because i am in the wrong but because you are ignorant. But i can tell you that you will never be anything but a brother to her because your family owe her a brother"
"What do you mean?"
"Come with me somewhere and you will see"
Richard said and walked out of his office.
Bremo followed him.
They went to the warehouse where Leo was staying.
They were both silent not talking to each other.
They got to the warehouse, Richard walked into the warehouse and saw Leo.
"Repeat what you told me again" Richard told Leo.
"Neo died when Albert set the explosion" Leo said and walked away.
Bremo sneered when he heard this.
His father has been his role model since he was young so he didn't believe what Leo said.

"Bremo are you sure you don't want to accept defect?"
"You think a few words from a gangster will convince me? His words are not proof I'm sure you know the consequences of framing my father" he scoffed.
"Frame? Fine seeing is believing, I'll let you see it yourself"
Richard walked towards where he kept the laptop and insert the drive into the Laptop.
He watched the video more than five times before he eventually believed that his father is murder.
He sat down in a defeated way.
Richard sat down beside him.
"You don't need to say anything, he is your father after all but so many times he has done things like killing Leo or even try to kill Runa. Just so he could cover up his crimes back then. I'm sure you know what your father is like, if you want to save Arci's life do not tell anyone what you have seen or heard. Especially not your father"
"I have something to ask you"
"Go ahead"
"Do you really love her?"
"Yes"
"How much"
"I have never been sacred of anything in my life but when i met her i knew what fear was. I fear death because i don't want her to be sad i fear losing because i want to make her happy"
"Remember what you have said today and treat her well" Bremo said in a defeated tone
"Bremo don't worry I'm willing to ward off all darkness for her and I'm even more willing to find that last bit of light in the darkness"
"I just want her to be happy even if that happiness doesn't include me"
"Arci is lucky having a friend like you honestly"
"I hope you can give her that happiness otherwise, I'll make you regret it"
Richard smiled.
"I had better get going. I want to say goodbye to her" Bremo said.
"Okay" Richard agreed.
Bremo met Arci.
He apologized to her for his Father's crime and offer his blessings to them.
He retreated to San Jose quietly after that.
Lincoln also retired and leave the company for Arci to managed.
He also approved to their relationship
