Someone suddenly came out from the dark. He stepped into the altar and walked towards me. "What are you doing in my place, little boy? Did you get lost?" he asked. I distanced myself from him by stepping backward. He got closer to me until my back reached the wall. There was nowhere to run. Fighting him was unavoidable. The man suddenly turned into a wolf with gray hair and red eyes. He must be the killer Cain was talking about. He charged towards me. I used swift movements to dodge its claws until I found an opening to respond. I summoned a group of fireballs and shot them at the wolf one by one. It was quick and dodged my attacks with ease. I realized that magic was ineffective against it. "Change of plans," I muttered as the wolf leapt toward me. I used my imagination and turned my arms into sharp swords. I dodged and cut through his body. His blood dripped down on my head. He fell to the ground, lifeless, and turned back to his human form. There was a long, deep cut from his stomach to his neck. His internal organs were sticking out. "Such a gruesome way to kill a man," I said. Cain took his soul and then brought me to another place where the next enemy was located. We appeared in front of an old cathedral. There weren't too many people around since it was already night. "I'm leaving this task to you, Lil," Cain said. "Why? Don't you want to help me?" I asked. "Sorry, but I can't enter the church with you. I might disappear like smoke, so I'll just wait here." "Okay." I entered the church and sat on a pew. I looked around and saw three men sitting on a pew at the front. They were close to each other and gossiping. I used my sharp ears to listen to their conversation. "We'll be jailed once the police find it out." "We won't, unless one of us reports what we did." "I didn't mean to kill him. It was his fault that he struggled, so I had to do something." "I hope nobody sees us, or it's over." "I don't want to spend the rest of my life in prison. Let's leave this place and hide." I couldn't understand what they were talking about, but the way they spoke, they sounded scared, as if they were trying to run away from something they had done. I stood up and walked toward them. "Hi guys, can I ask you something?" I said. "Who are you?" One of them stood up. "We don't know anything. Just stay away from us!" I was surprised by his defensive response. I didn't know why he was mad even though I didn't do anything with him. I saw him clench his fist and suddenly punch me, but before it could land on my face, I dodged. The other two guys stood up and tried to bind me, so I kicked their knees, turning them in a perfect position to pray. "Son of a—why are you doing this to us?" One of them asked. He was wearing blue pants and a jacket as if he came from a baseball game. "You asked for it. I wouldn't fight you if you didn't start it. I just wanted to ask you something, and yet one of you tried to punch me and the other tried to bind me, so I had no choice but to fight," I replied. "We were just trying to be friendly," the other said. "Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't know that was how you greet someone, but what I did was just a normal reaction. No one wants to be beaten just for his question to be answered," I replied. They looked at me as if in shock. Then I said, "You have done a crime, am I right? That's why you were defensive, thinking that I'm going to ask you about what you did." "How did you know that? Did you see what we did? Are you going to report us to the police?" One of them asked. "If that's the case, then you have to die," the other said. The two guys held my legs while the other punched my face. Although my feet couldn't move, I dodged and fought the other man. I grabbed his head and bumped it with mine. That was so strong that it almost broke my skull, but it was enough to send him to sleep. "W—what did you do?" One of the guys said as their comrade fell down on the floor. "Ran!" The other shouted. He stood up and tried to run, but I grabbed his shirt and threw him down on the floor. "Ahhhhh!" He screamed as his backbones broke. The last guy was shocked by what happened to his comrades. He started begging me to spare his life, to let him go, but the monster inside of me has gotten wild. I grabbed his throat, raised him, and threw him to the walls. I ended their lives. Using my imagination, I turned them into tiny human beings and brought their bodies outside. I hope God will forgive me for what I did inside the church. I saw Cain sitting on the chair in the park across the street, so I went there. "You're done?" Cain asked. "Where are they?" I opened my hand and showed them the three tiny human beings. "Here," I said. "What did you do with them?" "I turned them small so that I can carry them. Why? Is there something wrong with what I've done?" "Nothing. It's just I didn't expect you'd do such a thing. Don't worry, their souls are still intact," Cain replied. "I'm glad to know that. I wouldn't really do it if you could just enter the church." "I know," he said. After Cain took the souls of the three guys, I dug a small pit in the ground using a stick and buried their tiny bodies in it. Then we left the park like nothing happened.
