Chapter 120: The Green Monsters
"Help! Help!" I heard a woman's voice coming from the restroom. I immediately went inside, but it wasn't as I expected. She was being forced by a masked man to have sex with him. He was holding a long gun and didn't hesitate to shoot at me.
I hid behind the door just in time before my head could explode from the bullets. I knew I wasn't supposed to interfere with other people's business, but that man was making me freak out. How could he force a woman to have sex with him even in this kind of situation? He was only thinking about his own desires and didn't care what would happen to the world.
"Don't move, or I'll shoot this girl," he warned, pointing his long gun at the woman's head.
The woman was crying a bucket of tears. There was a look in her eyes that begged me to help her. Suddenly, the man pointed his gun at me and shot. The world seemed to slow down, both time and space. I could see the bullet flying toward my eyes. I pulled the trigger and dodged before the bullet could hit me.
"Ahhh, fuck!" The man cursed. The gun fell to the floor from his bleeding hand. "Dammit!"
"Get out of here," I told the woman. She stood up and walked through the door hurriedly.
"What the fuck is your problem with me, kid?"
I pointed my gun at him. "Why won't you use your energy in getting out of here rather than complaining?" I hit his head with the gun, sending him to sleep. Hope those aliens would make him taste how it feels to be forced and fucked.
Cain and I continued downstairs. The power building's power was off. The elevator wasn't working. They were people trapped inside, shouting for help, but it would be nice for them to stay there, as going out would only get them killed.
As we got outside the building, I heard a lot of gunshots. The cops were trying their best to hold the green monsters, but they only got evaporated and disappeared from existence like smoke as they got close.
The aliens undoubtedly had more advanced technologies than human beings. They were also more intelligent; however, they didn't know the cost of invading the planet of humans. Perhaps the word "peace" doesn't exist in their language system yet.
After killing the cops, the aliens looked at me as if I was the only human left in the world that they hadn't fucked yet, which was horrible. The government had already done their part, sending robots to kill the aliens, but even the strongest weapon in the world could do nothing against them.
The aliens ran towards me. I shot them, but machine guns were useless against them, so I changed my tactics. Perhaps elemental and other forms of magic could be useful. I had used a barrier to protect myself. They were confused that they couldn't get near me. Then I added lightning to the barrier, and they got electrified and died as they touched it.
"Nice trick, Lil," Cain said.
"Yeah. Seems like aliens can see ghosts too."
"They have three eyes. The eye on their forehead can see everything an ordinary human can't: waves, germs, ghosts, etc. You can't fool them. Sometimes they can also read your mind," Cain explained.
"That's unfair."
"But there's something different in you, Lil. Your mind works faster than a computer; that's why they can't read it."
"Isn't that normal?" I asked.
"Consider it a girl rather than an abnormality. The world needs you, Lil. You're the only one who can save it from alien invasion," Cain said.
"That's too much of a responsibility for a young boy."
"As Voltaire said, ‘Great power comes with great responsibility.’"
Cain was right. Ordinary humans might not be able to prevent the aliens from invading the planet, but with this power I possessed, I could stop them. I thought I was alone, but I wasn't. Even normal humans were trying their best to protect the world.
"There's only one way to stop them, Lil. Go to their spaceship and ask their leader to stop what they are doing," Cain said.
"How can I do that? I don't know how to speak alien language."
"If there's a will, there's a way. Use your mind."
Right. I just have to imagine, and everything will be alright. I didn't expect it would be that easy. So, I used my imagination to get inside the huge spaceship where the leader of the aliens was.
I appeared inside a room. There were some aliens and a throne where their leader was sitting. He looked just like an ordinary alien, but with a crown on his head and wearing a royal robe.
"Lil, is that you?" I looked beside me and saw a girl. She has long, curly blonde hair, brown eyes, fair skin, and a pointed nose. She looked so familiar, and then I remembered that girl in my dream. It couldn't be.
"Kaila?" I asked, confused. "What are you doing here?"
"That's my line. What are you doing here?" She replied.
"I'm here to kill the leader of the aliens," I said.
"So, we want the same thing?"
"We don't have much time left to talk. Let's finish this. Let's stop the aliens from invading our world."
"Um!" Kaila raised a machine gun.
I have a lot of questions. Like how Kaila could survive those aliens and get inside this spaceship. Even the strongest weapon made by man was useless against them. Something's with her, something I've yet to know.
"Seems like we have guests here," the leader of the aliens said as he stood up from his throne, took the stairs, and slowly walked toward us. I didn't expect that he could understand his language.
"Stop right there!" Kaila exclaimed. She was about to shoot the alien when I stopped her. "What's wrong, Lil?"
"Let's not kill him. I have a better plan." I approached the alien and asked. "We're here to talk with you. You have to stop this invasion."
"And what would you give me if I do that?" he asked.
"I can't give you anything. It's not a bargain but a warning. We won't hesitate to kill you if you continue doing this," I said.
"Ohhh... Seems like you're capable of doing that, but I won't just listen to a word of a little boy. I'm giving you five seconds to escape," he replied.
It seemed like the conversation didn't go as I expected, as the leader of the aliens started counting. I prepared myself for what he was going to do.
"One," he said. "Your time's over. Get them!"Download Novelah App
