Once upon a time at the deepest depth of the blue sea,The Crums existed. It was a long kilometer away from the surface of the blue sea. One could hardly know that beings exist there as it's as deep as you can ever imagine. The Crums is as cold as ever to soothe the nature of the beings that survive over there. Sun don't exist there but the moon does. The only things that do survive there are the things that can survive with or without the sun. It's from the moon that they draw their light and as a matter of fact, they worship the moon. They believe that the moon is divine and it has the capacity to guide, guard and keep them. They also believe that because it's divine, it holds their lives. It was just a remote empire ruled by an empress. The occupants of the empire were half humans and other sea creatures that can survive with or without the sun. The half humans survived by preying on the little sea creatures - the sea worms. They garnish them in their own peculiar way with the sea veggies and feed on them. The sea worms are never finishing. Their numbers always increase, especially in the rainy seasons. This is because, during this season, other creatures other than the sea creatures including humans are being swallowed by the blue sea especially when the bank overflows and when such a creature loses control of itself and maybe gets drowned. Then, it will be left with no other option than to sink beneath this blue sea and come to rest in their farms and alas, they decay, producing more worms after which they will go and harvest them. The distance of Crums to the surface is really a large one that one has to swim for a long time before getting down there or up to the surface. Half humans are really beautiful creatures regardless of their legs being replaced with fins or some other parts to aid their buoyancy. They looked more charming and attractive than beautiful and good looking. It's really a paradox that humans get attracted to them if they don't see them in their full bodies - without them knowing that they're half humans. This happens mostly when peradventure, they swim from Crums to the surface for sight seeing or to feel the sun caress their skin as there's no sun in their place or to enjoy the ecstatic nature of the surface. Though, they can't stay out of the water for long because they can't survive the harshness of the surface as their other parts need water for survival. They also get attracted to humans. They easily fall in love with humans as they have very soft hearts and emotions like humans. They like humans because of their unique nature and for the fact that they have legs. But it's really contradictory how humans tend to hate them to the zenith when they realize that they're the ones. This is because they believe that they're evil, mythical, monsters and that they bring bad luck to them. They also believe that they could be killed by those monsters as they're not their fellow humans so they tend to eliminate them whenever they get across or come in contact with them. Half humans were not allowed to visit the surface because they believe that it's risky as their enemies - Humans and other creatures other than humans could get hold of them and have them killed. As a result of this, securities were placed at every entrance to this empire to avoid the enemies penetrating and to also prevent the stubborn ones from swimming to the surface. The securities always kept a close watch as they were assigned to do so. They tried not to fault the orders given to them by the empress but even at that, some of the half humans still go to the surface secretly without anyone knowing about it. In the centre of the Crums was situated the throne of the empress. One doesn't have to be told before coming to recognize that it's the throne. It was such a beautiful one. Only the glitters that emit from it alone is enough to make one desire to be a part of the royalty. The goodness that radiates from the surrounding is inexplicable. It was decorated with amazing and dazzling costumes made of blue-green sapphire and pearls with really brilliant lustres. As a throne, it was; it was surrounded by securities also, for protection. A few meters away from it was the mini prison where they locked people who faulted orders. They're thrown inside and apportioned a befitting punishment depending on the nature of crime committed by the falters. It was during the first reign of Empress Lulu that she noticed a gradual reduction in the numerical strength of the occupants of their districts. This really became a thing of great concern to the empress. She stood, moving to and fro her throne trying to understand something that has been going on in her nous, while biting her fingers. Up to five minutes, she was still roaming about becoming more flustered than she was when she stood. The heaviness of her thoughts were becoming much more than she could bear. This got her pissed off and she laid out a shout-out. She called out for Sibraa - the informant. "Sibraa!" The echoes of her voice came sounding in Sibraa's ears where he was having some fun with his childhood friend who visited his domain that day. From the harshness of the echoes of her voice, one could tell that all was not well in the empress's abode. "Is that not the echoes of the empress's voice?" Asked Liamb. "She's furious." Said Sibraa. All is not well, he added. This usually happens whenever things have gone wrong or are going wrong. Who knows what exactly could be the cause of her furiousness this time around? Continued Sibraa. Let me make for the empress's abode before she sends her securities to come looking for me. He concluded itching his head. Bye! He waved. Smiling at his friend - Liamb while swimming to the empress's abode to answer her call.
