CHAPTER SIX How She Met the Love of Her Life

The next day, she got up with her eyes swollen.
Her skin was aching badly but she tried to put up with the pains.
She quickly did her normal chores without minding the pains.
When she was done with the chores, she left to a distance to have a quiet moment with herself.
At one point she got tired of the Crums.
She secretly left to the surface to see if the heat of the sun could help her wounds. She was careful enough to have left when the securities were out of their duty post. She made sure that no one saw her or knows her whereabouts just so that she won't be apportioned a punishment.
Swimming up to the surface wasn't an easy one for her as usual.
Her tail was weak at one point but she needed to really get herself propelled to the surface so that the heat of the sun could touch her a little to help her wounds.
She almost didn't want to continue but she kept pushing.
At one point, she had to rest so that she could gain more energy.
She continued after she got rejuvenated untill she got to the surface.
She smiled immediately she raised her head and beheld the beautiful sun smiling at her.
She quickly got herself to her favorite spot where Humans can hardly see her or figure out that there was someone there.
She cautiously positioned her tail and some parts of her body with wounds to face the sun.
She raised her head in a way that made her able to see the people moving around the surface.
She loved coming to the surface because she would see the sun whenever she comes and also see a different set of unique entities.
She smiled at them from her hidden corner because she liked them.
They looked so unique and beautiful with their legs.
She wished she had legs so that she could get out of Crums and become free from the tortures of princess Bellina and her mother.
She was still smiling when she saw a paper kite falling in her direction.
The paper kite was beautifully crafted with different shades of coloured papers.
The kite was so beautiful that she fell in love with it and the beautiful colors.
She decided to save the kite from getting to the water.
She stretched her left hand and caught hold of the kite.
It landed in her palms.
She held it with passion.
She liked the look and everything about the kite. She was still admiring the beautiful kite when she heard the echoes of someone's voice screaming.
"My kite!!!"
That was Eureal.
His father jumped down immediately from the corner where he sat in the boat.
"What's the matter, son?"
"My kite!" He screamed again.
It fell off my hand down to the water.
We need to get it, dad….
"Don't worry, we'll get the kite," his father said, Rolling the boat to the other end of the sea to see if they could see the kite.
Eureal sat at the back of the boat. Exactly at the extreme left.
He was so unhappy as his kite had left him.
He was hell bent on finding his kite at the moment.
He kept looking down at the water from the boat. He also brought out his leg to the edge of the boat and continued browsing the water with them, believing that he would see his kite.
As their boat slowly rolled by, he felt someone dragged his leg gently.
"Hey….You might be looking for this." She said, handing him over the kite.
He stretched out his hands in excitement reaching out for his kite as Mira did so too just to enable him to get his kite.
He felt the smoothness and cool nature of her skin in the process of collecting his kite.
It was an awesome feeling indeed.
He was happy and was left in awe at the sight of Mira.
Her beauty was stunning.
He kept staring at her and Mira stared back.
She adjusted and hid the other half of her body deep inside the water in such a way that nobody could see it.
They kept smiling at each other while their boat slowly rolled by.
When he had lost sight of her, he left the edge of the boat to meet his father.
"Dad….." He called warmly.
"I have seen my kite!!" He screamed excitedly.
"Oh!! That's good news.
It's high time we got out of the sea then."
"Yes, dad." He responded while increasing the music that was playing in the background to celebrate his once lost but found kite.
When the boat had gone a distance from her, she then went back fully inside the water.
She was excited.
Her excitement was really something else. It was second to none. She was thrilled by the marrows.
She saw a human and she talked with him.
She felt his skin while he did so at the cause of her extending her hands to hand him over his kite and him collecting the kite.
She was extremely happy. She liked him already.
She quickly came out again to look out for him but she couldn't see him again because he and his dad had left the water.
She then went back inside the water and rested by the rock side, smiling sheepishly.

At the surface, Eureal sat down quietly and began to flash back at the beauty that rescued his kite.
He had a thought of the feeling of goodness that her skin radiated.
Her beautiful hair and her enchanting smiles.
He could not get over all of them.
He had fallen in love with her and he wished to see her more often.
He stretched his neck like a giraffe looking out for her but he didn't see a thing. The goddess of beauty was nowhere to be found.
The beautiful Mira had gone out of sight into the water.
He was totally lost in deep thoughts on how to see her again that he could not hear his name. His mother had called him several times but he didn't answer. He was absent minded but not until his sister tapped his back.
"Mom has been calling you. Come-on, let's get inside the tent so we could have lunch." She said, dragging him by his hand. They left for the tent.
Mira's visit to the surface helped her life.
She became happy again but this time, it was more than usual.
She had fallen in love with Eureal. She had the best feeling she has never had for the very first time in her life.
She smiled uncontrollably without her notice.
Before she could realize herself, it was already time for her to get back to Crums.
"Oh, really? I have been smiling all these while without my notice" she said in her heart when the leaves of the water lilies that were disturbed by the sea wave tapped her.
"I felt so unusual, '' she screamed with another broad smile on her face.
Humans are extremely beautiful, she giggled and began to make for home.
She joyfully swam steadily till she got back to Crums.
Eureal was overwhelmed with joy. Left for him, he had an encounter with the beauty goddess. He could not eat enough food.
He had eaten just a little when he remembered that he left his pair of boots outside.
He rushed out to pick them up.
His family had to pause eating while waiting for him.
"But why should we stop eating because he went outside to pick up his pair of boots?" Asked Sonia gesticulating with her left hand raised up and a little disapproval on her face.
Before her mother could say something, Eureal entered.
Oh, oh!
"You all were waiting for me?
But you shouldn't have…..
Anyways, sorry for the inconveniences. He said, pecking her mother on the forehead."
Sonia didn't even care. She was angry already because her meal was interrupted so she heaved a sigh which left her father gazing at her with his eyes above his glasses that he had placed comfortably around his nostrils.

Eureal and his family came on vacation.
They decided to spend their vacation at the blue sea shore. This was because he promised his children that he would take them to spend their vacation at any place of their choice if they performed excellently in their school.
The children didn't take their father's promise as a jamboree because they knew their father and what he could do and they promised to do well.
So, they put in more effort in their studies just so that they could prove themselves worthy of their father's promise.
They did their own parts by coming out in flying colors at the end of the school session and he brought them to the blue sea shore in fulfillment of his own part of his promise.
He always promised his children something huge just to trigger them to do better than the formal in their academics and this method of his has yielded awesome results in their academic lives.
Eureal and his sister were intelligent.
Their intelligence made everyone like them in school.
They were always used by their teachers to cite instances in their school.
Oftentimes, the teachers had urged their students to emulate them and make friends with them because of their right attitude to their studies.
They have proven themselves countless times to be the best students in their school and that made their parents proud of them.
Sonia and her mother stayed abroad. They lived in another country. The family only converges during break, vacation or leave.
But that wasn't a problem because anytime they got together, their father did make it up to them in any way he could because he loved his family so much.
He could choose his family over and over again even in his next life.
