" Is it working already?" I asked myself.
The alpha hadn't said anything in more the ten minutes. He had only been making facial expressions and if I'm seeing correctly, those are expressions of fear, surprise, realization and possession.
He almost fell to the ground after standing for more than ten minutes without saying anything. When Jamal helped him to his feet, he was looking different.
Nobody else might have noticed it because I was the only one in the pack who had an idea of what he was experiencing.
His countenance was different, his eyes looked darker from my angle, his hair looked messy and his jaws tightened.
" Say something." I urged him like he could hear me.
I was desperate for him to speak. I didn't want to get my hopes high just by merely looking at his new features. I mean, his hair might have become messy because he almost fell and the other features might just have been a reflection of the light.
" Common say something." I urged a bit louder like he could hear me.
" Are you sure you are fine?" The nosy lycanthrope beside me asked for the umpteenth time.
" Excuse you! Could you mind your business. Geez must all lycanthropes be nosy. Don't fuck with me or I swear to the moon goddess that I will fuck you up right here and right now." I threatened her angrily.
" Your eyes. Oh a rogue, no surprise there. Always vicious and angry. You should not be given any right to live." She replied as she spat on my face before creating a distance on the bench.
My claws grew longer, my Jaws tightened, my eyes changed to the color of my wolf's. The hair that would normally appear on my wolf's grew on my body, my fangs enlongated, my tongue thirsty for blood.
Why must we be seen from such a worthless angle? I swear to the moon goddess I'm gonna make them pay, all of them. But first, starting with this bitch in front of me.
" What? Are you gonna attack me? Do you really think you stand a chance against me? I am a fucking lycanthrope and you? What do you think you are? Well in case you can't recall, how about I help you with that hunh? You are a rogue, one only allowed to live by the mercy of the lycanthropes, the true bloodline of werewolves. You are nothing. Before you make a move, I can snap life out of your body. I will break all of the useless bones in your body within seconds over and over again. Try me." She ended her speech with a smirk, one that didn't only hurt my ego but also challenge me.
How dare she? How dare this bluffing flesh make jest of my strength?
" This is my judgement for the human." The alpha's voice distracted me. Immediately he spoke up, my features normalised.
" I know what you're aiming at but sorry next time." I told her with a challenging smirk.
I came here for an aim. I am only here because of the cause I have since developed. I came here to see my plans against the lycanthropes kick off and I was in no position ready for any form of distractions.
" It's up to you witches. Please don't disappoint me." I whispered but this time low enough that I couldn't even hear what I had said.

The rate of my heart beat trippled immediately the alpha ended his brother's wife's punishment.
I wonder what he was thinking all those times that he said nothing; probably the most cruel way to punish me.
" This is my punishment for the human. Indeed she might have been vindicated by my brother's wife but that still doesn't change the fact that she murdered one of us. She killed my brother, the beta of the infinite nightcrawlers pack, she killed our Amigo at the same time, let's not forget that she killed a rogue. I would never let here go Scot free. " He announced, causing my heart to sink.
" From henceforth, she will be..." He paused, leaving the whole pack in suspense.
Oh heavens! Is this the end? Is this how my life would end? I never got to be a writer, I never got to tell my family a proper goodbye, I never got to apologise to Michael for taking so long in remembering him, I never got to finish my project nor did I ever get to finally graduate from college.
I promised my father that I was going to make him proud. On his sick bed, I took an oath to never disappoint him
Well it is obvious that I would never be able to do that anymore. My case was even worse, I couldn't even get anyone to make any promise to me. At least my father had a sick bed, I have nothing. I would be killed and thrown into the forest to be eaten by vultures.
" From henceforth, she would be my personal slave. She has committed a crime against the pack but at the same time, she never committed it voluntarily. She doesn't deserve mercy because she is still a murderer. Rogue or no rogue, she still has Amigo's blood all over her hands. Since the law doesn't permit mercy for her, but also doesn't support her death, she can only become a slave; my PERSONAL slave. The consequences of going against this punishment shall only be known to her. That is my final verdict for Anubis and the human girl." The alpha said before exiting the court.
" All rise as alpha Derrick exists the court." Jamal instructed.
I couldn't even cry anymore. Everything the pack did afterwards didn't concern me at that point. I didn't even rise to my feet as instructed.
Everything that happened after the alpha passed his verdict was just like a movie to me. Even the loudest word said closest to me sounded like it came from a very far end.
The same wolves that dragged me on the first hearing came to me and instructed me to stand up. I didn't even budge, I only looked on.They probably got angry.
The strongest looking of them carried me on his shoulder like I weighed nothing then took me to the same room I was last night . He dropped me aggressively on the bed then left.
" Khloe Smith is now a slave." I said to myself as a tear rolled down my right eye.
