I heard our school football team defeated the visitors and I also heard Freddy threw a party to celebrate their win which I didn't care to attend, I wasn't even watching the game anyways so ....
Anyhoo, let me give a little update, Chris invited me to a frat party they hosted, that's where I was on Friday night and i met a few of his friends as well, my best of all was Dantè, he's an Italian though and we would be keeping in touch.
I'm actually on my way to pick my cousin Ian from the airport, he came to spend the weekend and like he said, 'catch up with old times' , he's actually in business school in London
"So Ian, how's London?" I simply asked
"Great as usual"He replied with his eyes not leaving his phone
"And Tiffany?"I asked about his girlfriend cause he didn't mention her which was odd, he usually talks alot about her
"We broke up, it's been months now" His reply didn't show any emotion
"WHAT! What happened, I know I might not be the relationship type but you guys were cute together"
"I don't wanna talk 'bout it Cous, just l that we had an issue which we couldn't settle"
"OKk, don't wanna prey" I raised my free hand in defeat, cause the other was placed on the wheel
"How's Mum and Dad?" Ian asked to break the sudden silence which has erupt in the car
"Haven't seen them in a while, but there're good though, I hear from them from time to time "
"Here we are, home sweet home" I sarcastically said and drove to the parking lot
"hmmmm, thr house looks bigger than i remembered" Ian blurted out
"Cause it's beem ages since yiu last visited dummy" I said with an eyeroll
TYLER'S POV
The party wasn't as thrilling as Freddy made it sound, I left there poundering about alot of thinhs, the first being that it's right about time I apologize to my Dad for my behavior few weeks ago which was cause of loss of temper.
He's in town now so I thought I should ise this opportunity to apologize, without much thought about it, I drove straight to the company he was having a board meeting, I'm sure that by the time I get there, he must have been done
**FLASHBACK**
I wasn't really interested in today's exercise, everything seemed really off today and to top it all, Zoi had the nerve to come apologize? I was really I a bad mood today but before I could leave my state of thinking, I was greeted with a phone call from Suzy our house keeper, she said Emily wasn't feeling alright and was taken to the hospital.
On hearing that, I drove straight to the hospital she has earlier told me on phone. As I got into the hospital, the odor I hated most hit straight into my face but I didn't care about that though, i just wanted to see Emily, which I later did from the help of the direction a nurse told me earlier
"How's she doing" I asked mum once I entered
"She's doing fine and improving on treatments " a doctor who stood beside Mum replied in her place
"And where's Dad?" I directed to Mum and faced her as well
"He'll soon get here, he left Ethiopia a while ago"
"I thought as much" I mutterd
"Honey you should go back home and freshen up, Emily's getting better" She said, which was true though cause Emily was asleep
That was the only reason I heeded to her advice and went back home to freshen up
When I was done with lunch and was about going back to the hospital, Dad suddenly walked into the sitting room
"I just got back from the hospital, Emily's doing good" He directed to me on my way out
"Like you aren't the cause of everything" I mumbled
"What did you say?" I think he heard me but I cared less about it, I needed to leave my stem out anyways am he was the perfect target
"You know what I think Dad, I think you guys are the cause of all this, you can't be at home and care for your kids, rather you'll prefer attending a conference in Ethiopia, that reminds me, how was it Dad?" I asked sarcastically
"Don't talk to me in that manner young man, have you run nuts" his anger level was already reaching its peak
"You care about your business more than yiu care for your kids,, and you'll tag it 'teaching us how to be independent', well you know what I think? that sucks, you guys should learn to spend more time with your kids, not just on money, money isn't love" I said and took in a heavy breath,vi didn't know I held, someone needed to tell him this and I took that chance
"You have no right to say such rubbish when you're leaving under my roof" he was already boiling in rage
"What you fail to know is that, I have every right to do so and oh i could even leave your damn house if you want, besides I'm already 18 and eligible to live on my own " I concluded and walked out without giving him a chance to retaliate
** END OF FLASHBACK**
"Welcome sir, what can I do for you" Annabelle, my Dads secretary asked immediately I got out of the elevator of the last floor and approached her table
"Is my Dad in? I need to speak with him" I told her politely
"Yes sir, get just rounded up a meeting some minutes ago" she said
"Thank you" I answered and she placed a call, announceing my arrival before I went inside to face him.
"Well that wasn't so bad" I mutterd slightly as i got out of his office, everything worked out alright, he did forgive me, I'm happy for that and he promised as well to loosen up a bit with his rigidness.
The other thing that has been on my mind is Marisa, it's high time I put an end to all this shenanigans and drama.
During the party the other day, I overheard Marisa saying something from the bathroom.
I think it was with a guy, that fucking Grey guy, what i heard really got me upset but i later took a turn when she told him of how she've been wrong about everything, how she caused everything from the start and that she had a boyfriend, even if I'm aware of the fact that he kissed her, I'm not really upset with her that much cause she admitted it was a mistake and she chose me over him
I needed to see her, to make things right for the best
"Hello?" She spoke first on the phone
"Hey, errrmmm can we have a chat?" I fumbled with my words cause this was the first time I was calling her after our break
"It's already late and I ain't going out"
"Not today, tomorrow afternoon at the Froyo store had our first date" The line went dead immediately I was done, so I presume she heard me
"Ok then, tomorrow it is" I said and hung
Here goes nothing
