"Someone left this on my desk".Logan said as he dropped a file on the table.
"What's that?".hunter asked as he reaches out for the file on the table."where did you get this?".
"it was on my desk I guess".Logan plups down on the chair with a sigh."elise saw it and got mad at me for it".
"She got mad at you?".hunter asked with a surprised expression."Now that's new". hunter said immediately receiving a glare from logan.
"Sorry". hunter said."why did she get mad at you?"
"It's all because of the damn file". logan answered now glaring at the file on the table."I really need to find out who left it on my desk".
hunter took the file and started checking the content."hmm".he said."this is implicating".
"And provoking too". logan chiped in."most of it are lies,you know that right?"
"of course"hunter said nodding."but logan don't you think this is a trap?". logan glanced at hunter who was already watching him.logan knew that look all too well.
"I know"logan answered."I need to know who's behind this soon".
"I doubt it could be the men or one of them"hunter said."I mean the men know what you are capable of so they won't dare send this".he explained.
"you think so?". logan asked doubtedly."some of them are fearless besides who knows someone could be helping them".
"What do you mean?".hunter asked."why are you so sure that it's the men?".
"Not a lot of people know about the matter but the men surely knows". logan rubbed his jaw."it could be one of them.it has to be one of them".
"Then that means there's a betrayal among the organization". hunter said."who could it be and why?".
"that's the question".Logan said."what's the motive for doing such a thing".
"if there's anything I know, it's that whoever did knows you too well". hunter said."it's someone who knows about elise too".
"they could be looking for a discord". hunter concluded."you should be careful now logan".
"I know". logan said.
"it's obvious that you are the target not elise"hunter said."you know too much logan, it's what putting you in danger".
"What about elise?".logan said worriedly."she has no idea about all this".
Hunter looked like he had something else to say but he said nothing."spill it hunter"logan said noticing.
"Logan". hunter called."be calm and listen to what I am about to say,okay?".
"What is it?". logan said."just say it hunter". logan had a guess of what his friend was about to say.
Hunter watched logan for his reaction as he speaks."why don't you speak to your dad?".
There was a bit of silence as logan said nothing to which hunter was waiting for him to speak.
"Logan?". hunter said seeing as logan had refuse to say anything."talk to your dad logan".
"No". Logan finally spoke."I don't want my dad to know about this".
"Why logan?". hunter stared at him with an unbelievable look on his face."your dad can put an end to all this so why are you refusing to talk to him?".
"Hunter". logan called."I thought we talked about this".logan clearly didn't like talking about his family expecially his father and he always avoided them too.
"Everything needs to be resolved".hunter sighs."I know that you are still stuck up on that issue but it's been years logan".
"you don't understand "that was all logan said.
"Then make me understand". hunter urged."the matter had been long forgotten, even elise has moved on".
"moved on?". logan asked."do you think elise could ever forget Jess?".
"Your father isn't responsible for Jess". hunter said."stop finding faults and just call him already".
hunter could see that although logan didn't say anything,he was listening so he decided to add to his words."it's pointless,no matter how long you avoid them logan you have to talk to them".
"I know". logan said."I don't need you to tell me".
"Are you sure that there's a reason why you don't want to speak to your dad and not your pride?"hunter asked.
"What do you mean?". logan asked getting annoyed."are you trying to say that I am prideful".
"Yes". hunter said."because if it isn't,why haven't you spoken to your family yet?".
"and how is that your business?!". logan spat."why do you keep talking about my dad?!".
"I don't think you know that we are in serious trouble "hunter shakes his head."why aren't you looking at the bigger picture?,why?!".
"What bigger picture?!". logan said raising his voice."tell me!".
"Elise!"hunter suddenly said."Think about elise and everyone else.i am sure that you want them to be harmed right?".
Logan said nothing instead he started to walk away."Logan". hunter called.
Logan stop in his tracks but doesn't turn back as he speaks."what?".
"Talk to your dad". hunter said."I am sure that he's forgotten about that day,I am pretty sure that he's just waiting for you to go home".
Logan sighed deeply before continuing his walk.hunter watched his best friend walk away from him.
