_There are lot of things I still don't know logan and it gets me frustrated_
Elise walked down the hallway with mixed feelings,there was these naseous feeling she was having.she wondered why she was nervous though.
She thought of her call earlier with logan,she wondered what it was logan had to say to her.she didn't know why but she had a bad feeling too.'what wrong with me today?,why am I feeling this way?'.elise thought to herself as she reached her destination.
She looked around her, taking note of where she was.logan had suddenly called her again asking to meet the next day and sent a location to her.she was planning to ask him why he asked to meet outside if he came back home but he didn't come home that night so this would be them meeting after a day.
She tried to call him but her calls never went through.she felt a bit helpless.
*knocks softly*"logan?".elise called as she knocked the door,but no one answered.she stayed still for any movement other than hers but it seemed like no one was there since she couldn't hear no movement inside.
"Logan?".she tried again but there still wasn't an answer so tried opening the door which opened instantly,luckily for her the door wasn't locked.
She walked in slowly, still checking the area for logan,but no one was inside just as she thought.she dropped her bag on the table in the room and surveying the room.
"Where's logan?".elise said still surveying the room.she was about to go sit when she noticed a file placed on the desk and got curious so she walked towards it.she wondered why the file was on there since logan wasn't in the house.
She thought he was being careless as she picked it up and read the content.she didn't want to read it at first because of confindality but she thought it could be urgent so instead she decided to briefly do a rough check Incase logan might need it.
Elise wore a shocked look on her face as she checks the content of the file,she forgot about her intial plan as she aggressively turns the page.
She got so engrossed that she didn't realize that logan had came in already calling for her.
Logan was surprised to see the door unlocked and immediately became alert as he walked in but relaxed when he saw elise's bag.
"Elise?".she heard logan call her but she made no attempt to respond.heck she didn't even care.
"Elise?". logan's voice sounded more closer indicating he was standing at her back.
She turned slowly to him and raised the paper she was holding in front of him."what's this logan?". logan glanced at the paper in elise hands.
"what is it elise?".he asked with a smile on his face as he took a step closer to her but elise took a step back not wanting to be close.
"logan?".elise called sternly."I just asked what this is so I want an answer!".she threw the paper at logan's face who picked up the paper checking the content.
"you lied to me". logan raised his head and faced elise as she spoke."you have been lying to me.you have been lying to me all this while!".
"I..I can explain". logan rubbed his jaw"please let me explain elise".
"What's there to explain log?".she wasn't prepared to listen to him."what do you even have to say?". logan was silent as he thought of how to respond to elise without worsening the situation.
"Elise"he started."I.....".but was cut off by elise's phone ringing.
Elise wanted to ignore her phone not wanting to speak to anyone but the phone rang again.
She checked for the caller and knew it's an important call as she saw the caller name."Hello".she glanced at logan briefly as she spoke.
~someone else has been reported dead~
"What?!".elise was surprised.she glanced at logan again who had a look of concern on his face but she ignored it."am on my way?".she said ending the call.
"Elise?". Logan called softly.he didn't know what else to say neither did he know what to do.
"Let's talk later log".she said with no expression on her face."I have to go".she turned from him and walked away.it was obvious to logan that what he feared was going to happen.it was obvious that elise was going to drift away from him.
He checked the files and sighed deeply as he brought out his phone and dialed a contact."there's something I need you to find out for me"
~what is it?~
"I will send a file to you,find its source for me". logan wore a serious look as he spoke.
~i hope you don't need it now ~
"I do,why?". logan frowned."you can't handle it? or are you busy doing something else".
Logan was being a bit harsh but the receiver said nothing to that. ~Of course I can handle it.i just want to know when to give you a response ~
"I would appreciate it if you send me a response right now". logan said."it's urgent".
~Okay then~
"Thanks"
~By the way,is something going on?~
Logan was silent as he thought of everything that happened,it was so sudden and he wasn't expecting it."Let's meet instead"
