Chapter 9 False Accusations

Geo
Her lips locked with mine, her body rubbing against mine, and her hands entangled with mine...
So sweet, so delicate, so pure that she leaves me wanting for more.
I just can't hold it back anymore. All the mixed feelings I felt from the start of our journey just condensed into one strong desire. And I felt weak against it as she held me close, I just had to pull her closer. Before I knew it, I was already pinning her against a tree, kissing her intently.
"Geo..." She exclaimed, gasping for air.
"Ven..." I panted as we let each other breathe for a while before devouring each other's lips once again. My hands started exploring her body as hers clutched my hair as she arches her back to feel more of my touch.
Before we can go on further though, I was suddenly ripped off of her and thrown into the ground. I blinked and saw a tall and muscular man towering over me and even more men surrounding us.
"Archer?" Ven's shaking voice snapped me out of my trance and the man who was glowering at me turned to her, giving me a chance to stand up. The man's face softened when he looked at Ven and worry even flashed in his eyes as he pulled her in an embrace.
"Ven Elise, you got me so worried, I had to lead the search party as soon as your father told me you went missing." He said still keeping her close.
My chest tightened at the sight feeling an old wound being opened. I know better than to react though because Ven was never mine to begin with. I was about to leave when the man, Archer, growled and his men surrounded me, making sure that I could not escape.
"You! You kidnapped her and forced yourself into her!" He thundered as he picked me up by the collar as if I weighed nothing. "You intruded the Golden Moon Pack and captured the princess! Your act is punishable by death." He snarled, barring his canines at me.
"No, stop Archer, he did not do anything." Ven softly said. I met her eyes, not expecting her to say that at all because the man is actually not wrong about what he said. I did kidnap her and dragged her into danger. And did she just refer to me as, he?
"I saw it with my own eyes Ven! Whatever spell he casted on you would soon be broken though, when I'm done with him!" Archer tightened his choke hold on my neck, hoisting me up. I tried kicking my feet but it's pointless as he got me dangling in his hold.
"I said STOP!" Ven roared and suddenly shifted. Her golden brown wolf lunged directly at Archer, making him let go of me. I tried catching my breath as soon as I'm free and she protectively stood before me, growling at them to back away. Archer's eyes went wide at her action, shocked. Even I am shocked. I mean, nobody has ever stood up for me like this, so why would she? And why would it be her, my captive, of all people?
"What is going on with you?" Archer asked, trying to sound calm, but his jaw is clearly clenched, surprising the anger burning in his eyes.
Before Ven or anyone can respond, we heard more wolves coming our way and soon, the alpha of the Golden Moon Pack appeared, immediately running towards his daughter. But before he can reach her, Archer stopped him. "She's not herself Alpha Vlad, that rogue must've drugged her." He spat.
Without warning, Ven shifted back into her human form, stark naked in front of the crowd of men and I immediately took off my cloak and covered her with it, wrapping my arms around her from behind in the process, making it look like I'm giving her a back hug, or in their eyes, restraining her. She seemed to be calm in my embrace though.
"Dad..." She said and her father stood firmly, glaring at me.
"Let her go! Or I'll have my men shoot you!" Alpha Vlad growled and my senses suddenly heightened as I saw men with bows and arrows from a distance.
"Let me go, I won't let them hurt you." Ven whispered and I unwound my arms around her, making sure the cloak is already secured. "He didn't hurt me dad. He saved me from a magical storm." She calmly stated but her dad was not convinced.
"He kidnapped you and you know the charges for that!" Alpha Vlad spat.
"But you didn't know why. Maybe we did him wrong first, and he absolutely have all the right to hold it against us!" Ven boldly answered, stunning me and everyone around us.
"He's a rogue!" Her father growled.
"And that makes you above him?" Ven retorted.
"What is the matter with you, why are you defending him? What did he do to you?" He asked the questions that I also want to ask.
"I told you, he didn't harm me. In fact, he saved me from those who attacked us when we were caught up in a magical storm and even saved me from the storm itself as he killed the witch that casted it." Ven answered.
"But he kidnapped you and jeopardized the pack's elite lineage." He retorted.
"He has his reasons that are worthy to be heard by the court. I mean, he did me wrong once, by kidnapping me, but then ended up saving me thrice while I was on his watch. How would you judge him for that? A bad or a good man?" She challenged and her father looked pissed that she outsmarted him.
"She has a point Alpha Vlad. Let's bring this case up to the court and not bestow judgement prematurely." Archer said.
"If you say so, Alpha Archer." Wait, he's also an alpha? "But until then, he shall be detained in my dungeons." Alpha Vlad glowered.
"I'm sorry, that's the only thing I can do for you, for now at least. But I'll see what I can do once we get there." Ven whispered in my ear as we were ushered to walk with all of these men surrounding us.
"Why are you doing this? You know you don't have to." I said sincerely.
"And why not?" She asked.
"It's not like you care..." The words slipped my mouth and something flashed in her eyes.
"I do care Geo, I do."
I didn't ask anymore questions after that as we were asked to hop on the backs of some of those who shifted into their wolf forms so that we'll be able to get to the Golden Moon Pack quickly. And sure enough we were able to reach the border after 3 hours. We were met by the members of the Golden Moon Pack who looked relieved to see Ven, and also looked pissed at me at the same time, filling the streets with whispers.
"Alpha Archer, please take my daughter to the infirmary to have the doctors check if she's really okay while I take care of the criminal." Alpha Vlad said as he hopped down the wolf that he's riding and then I was suddenly thrown to the ground by the wolf that carried me. Ven rushed to my side though and helped me up.
"No, I'll go with you to the dungeons." She said, deliberately disobeying her father in front of their people.
"Ven." He warned, but she stood beside me firmly. "Handcuffs!" He just ordered, probably not wanting to cause a scene. I held back the tears that are threatening to fall as a soldier tied my hands behind my back by a silver chain. My hands burned but I kept a straight face as we entered a building with Ven still by my side.
The insides of the building looks like that of a gym, perhaps this is their training room, complete with weapons and equipment. We walked past all of those and entered a small room which has nothing but a heavy looking metal door, guarded by two bulky men. One of them entered the code that opened the heavy door to let us through. We entered a tunnel that's barely lit by lamps, we walked for 15 minutes before we finally reached the cells. As soon as the detainees saw us, they growled and made a fuzz on their respective cells.
"Shut up!" A guard screamed.
"We received your message alpha. This cell is free." Another guard said, pointing to a cell by the corner which has nothing but a bench inside. My eyes landed on the torture materials hanging by the walls outside each cell and my heart pounded in my chest.
"You're going to be alright." Ven whispered and even though I want to believe her, I know I'm not going to be alright here.
"Don't worry so much." I told her and gently placed my forehead on hers, but I was yanked off by a guard and pushed into the cell as they adjusted the cuffs on my hands and legs before going out and locking the door. I didn't miss the hurt in Ven's eyes when the bars separated us and it gave me a mixture of emotions. Why... Why does it feel like this with her? It's as if we're connected by something that I can't explain.
"Come on." Alpha Vlad said, pulling her away, she didn't protest but she kept looking back until they disappeared from my sight.
It was calm in the prison for a while and only the silver in my chains bothered me however...
"So, this is the rogue that kidnapped the alpha's daughter?" A guard said with a menacing chuckle as he pulled out a whip and then the torture began.
"Ahhh!" I screamed as he lashed at me simultaneously and that's when the tears started flowing.
This happened to me before, and it's happening again. I want to hold on to Ven's words earlier but it's hard. I mean, after all, it would be easier for her to just abandon me. Yes, we may have a little something, but I don't think that would be enough of a reason for her to go back here and actually fight for me. I mean, Anne who was my chosen mate didn't even do it for me before, so why would I expect Ven to do so?
