As Niccolo loses consciousness three more sinister looking creatures appear. The one that blows a magical dust on Niccolo, making him fall asleep, immediately pushes the old man inside the room almost tripping on Niccolo's body.
He then directed the three others "Hurry up and drag our sleeping beauty inside." The three guys hurriedly followed his command.
"Osman, are you sure this guy won't wake up any time soon?" Asked one of the guys.
"The sleeping powder I used on him is quite potent. A fucking bomb could explode and he would still be dreaming away. He won't wake up till tomorrow." He said as he closed and locked the door behind him.
He then took Niccolos bag, opened it and rummaged through it. He's looking for something valuable. But he found none.
"What the fuck." He poured what's left inside the bag on the bed. But all he saw was garbage. The only thing he saw with actual value was a knife. The rest are just clothes and what looks like a small square box.
"Jael you scum. This guy doesn't have any gold. Search the whole room. He might be hiding the gold coins somewhere here." He ordered his minions.
"I swear Osman they have golden coins. I saw it with my two eyes. They gave the old man a Gold coin and Anais a silver coin."
"Jael if you're lying to me I'm going to break your horn and shove it on your ass. Do you understand?" He threatened the goat man that talked to Niccolo's group earlier. He was also the one who tipped the robbers about the gold. He secretly followed them to the hostel and after he saw Kai give Emre a gold coin he contacted Osman's group.
That's their modus, they rob unsuspecting tourists of their money. Usually they are in cohorts with the hostel owners to make their job easier. They usually put the sleeping powder on the food and then that's when they rob them when they're all passed out.
But this time since they chose the old man's hostel they have no choice but to sneak in and capture the old man who somehow was fast enough to get rid of the spare keys.
"Please young man, you already took my money. Leave my tenants alone. They're just mere travelers looking for a place to stay." Emre pleaded.
"I won't leave this place until I find the gold, Jael is talking about. If I have to check every room of this hostel I will."
"You already took my gold. That's already enough."
"I decide what's enough. Cosby searched that guy's pocket and clothing."
Cosby did what he's told but still found nothing.
"Let's search the other rooms." Oswan finally decided.
"But we no longer have those dream powders." Coyote said.
"I don't care, just force open their doors and beat them up if they resist."
"Please don't do that. " Emre again pleaded. "I know your father Osman. I know that you're not a bad person. It's not yet too late for you."
"You don't know me, old man, you only know my name." With that he pushed the old man towards Niccolo who's still sleeping.
"Let's get to the other rooms, we're losing precious time. And then he opens the door. But to his surprise Akana, Eelie and Lucian were already waiting outside.
The three looked quite intimidating. He was so sure he used a magic spell so that they can't be easily heard and traced by other people. But somehow these three were able to realize that something was wrong. They could be dangerous. But Oswan immediately recovered from shock.
He smirked, almost looking relieved." You guys must be his companion. Glad you're already here, we don't have to waste more time knocking at your doors. Give us what we need and we will hand over your friend," he wasted no time negotiating.
"How about you hand him over to us and we will let you walk out in here like nothing happened," the devil said.
"I think you have no idea how serious the situation is here." Osman gave a signal to Coyote. And without a word he took Niccolo's knife dragging him by his hair and pointed the sharp edge of the knife on his neck. He slightly wounded him and yet he still didn't wake up.
"What a sharp knife. I wonder if he'll wake up first or bleed to death first. Your choice if you want to know the answer. Now hand over to us the gold and we will let you all go so you can attend to his wound."
Akana was about to hand over some of her valuables to the thieves when Lucian stopped her.
" I think you tried to rob the wrong group. We don't have any gold here."
"They're lying, the gold is with them."
"Shut up, Jael." Oswan reprimanded the goat man who immediately shut up.
He again signaled Coyote. This time the creature took something from its pocket, another dagger. He then put Niccolo's right hand on the table.
"Your friend is lucky he wouldn't feel a thing nor will he wake up even if Coyote here cut one of his fingers. You don't believe me?" He was about to again signal his minion. When Akana stepped forward.
"Wait, I have what you need. She took something from her pocket, a purse." She then handed it to Oswan who immediately smiled upon seeing the purse. He opened it immediately and was quite satisfied with what he saw.
"Good that you're an easy woman to negotiate with."
"Now please release Niccolo. We already give you what you want." Akana said.
"Move away from the door first." They immediately followed him.
"Don't move a muscle or we will cut one of his fingers." He threatened again.
Lucian whose mustering all control was glaring at Oswan.
"Pretty boy I know what you're thinking, don't you dare. He may not look like it but Coyote here is very fast and have very sharp fangs. You don't wanna make him nervous or he will dig his fangs to his nearest target."
Akana looked at Eelie and Lucian. They were all thinking the same thing. They can't gamble on Niccolo's life. These robbers won't hesitate to kill if they make one wrong move.
Oswan together with his minions realizing that they already decided to let them go hurriedly walked away bringing the still sleeping Niccolo with them.
