"I can't believe I'm doing this. said the devil." She's Infront of the mirror while Akana is putting powder on her face.
"And what the hell are you putting on my eyes? " the devil asked Akana.
"My dear Eelie, I'm putting makeup on you because you're too pale." Akana answered as she applied mascara on her.
"But we don't use Makeup in this world. It's fine to look pale like a ghost."
"But the goal is we need to stand out so that the centaur will notice us." akana explained.
"We don't even know if the owner of the brothel will accept us."
"Oh she will. I heard that they don't have new recruits and they are already desperate to find new women or the centaur will take his horny ass somewhere. I heard he pays well and also protects the brothels from other soldiers." the ghost answered
"Where did you get all your information?" The angel asked.
"From me." Anais the girl that looks like a cat came strutting.
"What is she doing here?" Kai asked suspiciously.
"I went and looked for her. We need a local that could help us move around Fortuna. We stick out too much. And she knows the owner of the brothel. She would be a great help," the ghost informed the group.
"You gave me enough coins to last me a month. So I'm just returning the Favor." Anais explained.
"So you know the owner of the brothel?" Kai asked.
"Everyone knows her."
"Is there a way to talk to her and make her hire us?" Akana asked.
"She's been trying to recruit me since forever. If I apply you will be included in the package. But just looking at you right now I don't think you will need me. You both look pretty and young."
"Anais, I know you're a brave woman. But what we're going to do isn't a child's game. Everything could escalate to a dangerous level. I'm just warning you." The ghost reminded her.
"Well you can always add more coins to my pocket if you want. I don't mind the danger. I can take care of myself."
"Good that we're clear then. Once we complete this mission and Niccolo wakes up we will pay you your gold coins." Kai promised her.
"I love paying customers. Wait, what happened to Niccolo?"
"He was put to sleep by the robbers that tried to steal from us. But don't worry about him, he needs rest anyway." the devil explained.
"How about you Akana, aren't you tired?" Kai asked, a bit concerned.
"I'm fine, I was able to take a nap earlier while looking after Niccolo,"
"So should we go now?" The devil asked. She wanted the mission to be over and done with.
"No, you can't go to the brothel looking like that. You're wearing the most unappealing outfit." Anais exclaimed as she looked at them with disapproving eyes.
"This is all the clothes I have." The devil answered
She's wearing a curtain-like dress. All black from head to toe.
"Me too. I don't have anything. All the clothes I brought over here are meant for comfort and fighting."
Akana is wearing a denim jumper.
"Glad I came prepared." Anais brought out two dresses from her big backpack.
"Wait, those dresses are from the human world." The angel said. "Where did you get those?"
"Black Market. I bought it from a succubus. They called this sexy kimono. She said she wore these dresses when she worked as a geisha in the human world. This is very expensive but because she is my friend I got it for a discounted price. Of course you're going to buy this from me."
" I'm not going to wear that." The devil protested.
"What's wrong with you? Are you afraid that we're breaking a law here? The council is already looking for us. We're technically a bunch of criminals now." the angel said.
"I'm not hearing and seeing anything," Anais said as she handed the dress over to Akana.
Akana chose the blue silk kimono with pink cherry blossom design.
The devil is left with a red kimono with high slits at each side. But she didn't take the kimono. She just continue to sulk like a child.
"I'm not wearing that."
"Oh come on stop acting like a spoiled brat. You're the one willing to do anything and you even lie to us just to get what you want. You have to do this Eelie. You're the only one who can go toe to toe with that centaur in case things didn't go as planned." the ghost said, trying to convince her.
"Fine but this is the first and the last time I'm going to do this. Now get out of the room. I need to change."
As the devil said that all of them disappeared from the room. It was just her, the ghost and Akana that was left on their own.
Akana with little to no hesitation took off her clothes and wore the kimono. While the devil just stared at the dress. The ghost got too impatient so she decided to assist the devil. Luckily she didn't complain at all. She just let the ghost do what ever she wants.
After they are fully dressed the angel, kai and Anais returned to the room.
"Wow you two look super pretty. Anakis exclaimed. She was obviously proud and happy to see both Akana and Eelie wearing the Kimono she bought. She then styled their hair on a bun to emphasize their face.
"We just need to put some hair pins on you. Since Kai already paid me another silver coin earlier I will no longer charge you for these pins." She also got the Japanese pins from the succubus.
"You are now both ready. Hey miss devil you need to smile."
"Let's just go. We need to be hired before this day ends." the devil said gloomily.
"Akana I need to possess your body later so be ready okay." the ghost reminded her.
"We will go to the brothel later as customers. So be careful. Never blew your cover. The council might be watching." Kai informed them.
"Don't worry about us. I'll make sure they are safe." Anais assured them.
"Im not worry about their safety. I'm worried about you and the people inside the brothel." Kai said.
"You worry too much." The devil said to Kai.
"Only because I no longer trust you."
"Fair enough. But you know I'll do anything to get what I want. So in that aspect you can trust me. So lets go the key is waiting."
