August 13, Saturday / Album Song Preparation / Recording Studio
The members were quiet, trying to figure out a way to solve Ji-Hun's problem. After the driver parked their car behind the recording studio, they went outside their van and shared looks with each other.
"What now?" Hyun-Jung said before they entered the studio. Iseul took the chance to get close to their manager as he planned to talk about Ji-Hun's situation.
"Mr. Sang-Woo? We kinda have a situation here." Iseul said softly.
"What is it, Iseul? Do you need something?" Their Manager answered, turning his head to Iseul before he looked in the way.
"Ji-Hun has a sore throat," Iseul said, going straight to the point. Their Manager quickly looked at Ji-Hun before he stopped walking.
"Ji-Hun, Are you okay?" Their Manager said to Ji-Hun before he went closer to him. Ji-Hun shook his head, telling their manager that he was not okay and well to record their album.
"I told everyone to not drink cold water while doing a vocal practice. How many times did I tell everyone?" Their manager ranted before he escorted the members to the recording studio room. Their manager was quite upset about the current situation. After he opened the door, The members went inside and sat on the couch. Their manager went closer to their Music Producer and whispered something to him before their producer nodded and looked at the members.
"Ji-Hun, your parts will not be recorded for the assigned schedule for recording. We'll set a new schedule for you once your throat is okay." Their Producer said as the members smiled at the good news. Luckily, they were considerate enough to let Ji-Hun take a rest to take care of his health.
"Thank you..." Ji-Hun said softly before Minsu rubbed Ji-Hun's back, telling him to rest.
The other members recorded their parts as their Producer told them to do. They both record their parts in "Love Story" and "Mind Control" for about 8 Hours. They went back to their dorm after they finished recording and took a rest for the recording schedule the next day. They also gave Ji-Hun antibiotics for his sore throat so it would heal faster.
August 14, Sunday / Album Song Preparation / Recording Studio
"Did you take your antibiotics?" Iseul said, asking Ji-Hun to take his medication before the male nodded as an answer.
"Good," Iseul added before they sat down on the couch, waiting for their producer to come. After a few minutes, instead of their producer going inside the recording studio, a new face went inside. It caught M41's attention as they stood up from the couch and greet the person who entered.
"I'm Prince Calascione, Known as Producer Prince, I'm the owner of the recording studio. Your Producer, Mr. Chan-wook is absent today until tomorrow due to some personal reasons, so I'll be substituting him in the meantime." Producer Prince said as the members sat on the couch.
"I was told by your producer that Ji-Hun has a sore throat and can't sing. Who's Ji-Hun?" Producer Prince added while setting the equipment before Ji-Hun raised his hand.
"We don't have time for that. At least we can do your adlibs for today and maybe tomorrow you're fully healed, we can go and record your parts." Producer Prince said to Ji-Hun.
"But sir, it won't be healed by tomorrow. His sore throat just came yesterda-"
"It is not an excuse. Your manager gave him medications so it would be healed by tomorrow. Who's the Main vocal? We can start recording your parts now." Producer Prince said, cutting Minsu's sentence. Hyun-Jung stood up after being called and proceed to record his parts in the live room.
After a few hours of recording, it was time for Ji-Hun to record his adlibs as the producer told him to do. He stepped into the live room and started singing as best as he can.
"Would that part be better? Try it again." Producer Prince said before Ji-Hun tried to do the adlib but still can't do it as the producer wanted it to be. They repeat the same adlib for about a minute and a half before The producer was satisfied with it.
"Sir, I think we should stop forcing him to do the ad-libs. As we said earlier, he's not in good condition to record." Iseul said, trying to stop Producer Prince from forcing Ji-Hun to sing but it didn't give Iseul a chance to be heard but continued to let Ji-Hun sing. It went like that for about an hour before all the ad-libs for Ji-Hun were recorded. The members went out of the recording studio as they both checked Ji-Hun if he was okay. They were all worried, especially Minsu.
August 15, Monday / Album Song Preparation / Van
"Did you take the medication? I told you to drink the thing I prepared for you last night. I saw that you didn't finish it." Minsu said to Ji-Hun as Ji-Hun kept nodding.
"You're not even listening. We're worried about your health." Minsu added as he looked away.
"We're?, or You're worried?" Hyun-Jung said while chuckling.
"You act like he's your boyfriend, eh?" Hyun-Jung added before Iseul playfully punch Hyun-Jung on his shoulder while laughing.
"Don't you even care about Ji-Hun? He's gonna be forced again to sing!" Minsu said, looking at the members on his back. Since they all knew that they will force Ji-Hun to sing his lines while he has a soar throat, they are still worried about it.
"We're worried, yes. But We don't want to annoy Ji-Hun. Look, he's smiling at you." Iseul said before pointing his finger at Ji-Hun who's smiling at Minsu.
August 15, Monday / Album Song Preparation / Recording Studio
"Welcome back, M41. We'll start after I finish working on this one" Someone said as soon as they opened the door, seeing Their one and only considerate and caring producer they have.
"Ahhh~ finally!" Iseul said as they all went close to Mr. Chan-Wook.
"Why? Did something happen yesterday?" Chan-wook said, turning his attention to the members.
"Well, we will ask you a question first, Mr. Chan-Wook. Where were you yesterday?" Hyun-Jung said before the members sat on the couch, waiting for Mr. Chan-Wook's reason for him not attending yesterday's schedule.
"I'm sorry M41. Something emergency happened with my mother. But it's nothing to worry about! How about you guys? What made you say "Ahh~ Finally" After seeing me back?" Mr. Chan-Wook explained before he turns back the conversation to his question. The members told everything from the strict producer and him forcing Ji-Hun to sing when he has a soar throat.
"I'm sorry for that. I'm afraid I cannot do anything about it as it was Producer Prince who did it. He is the owner of this recording studio. But I'm really sorry that he did that, especially to Ji-Hun. Don't worry, as I said last time, I won't force you to sing and we will reschedule recording your parts as soon as you're healed. Did you talk to your manager about this matter?" Mr. Chan-Wook said before the members shook their heads in response to his question.
"Right. But I'm glad you took your time to consult me about it. Well, let's not waste time and move on to record your title track!" Their producer said, clapping his hands before calling the members one by one to go to the live room and record the other parts they did not get to record yesterday. of course their music producer did not call Ji-Hun.
August 16, Tuesday / No Schedule / Dorm
"Finally, a rest day for us..." Iseul said as he place the food on the table while the members were already sitting on the dining chair their manager got for them yesterday.
"And our first new furniture in our dorm. I hope they give us a TV or something." Hyun-Jung said before the members went to eat the food made by their leader.
"How about we go for a walk today? We can ask our manager if we can. He's not that strict anyways." Iseul suggested, wanting them to go shopping or even just walk down the street to get themselves the fresh air they needed. Ji-Hun nods in response.
"That's a great idea. You should probably call our manager so we can go out after eating our meal." Hyun-Jung said as he smiled.
After they ate their meals, Iseul called their manager to inform him about the members going out. As usual, their manager agreed but told them a few things to not do outside their dorm.
"Let's go!" Iseul said a few minutes after the call with their manager. they all went outside, finally taking the time to relax.
August 16, Tuesday / No Schedule / Streets
"I'm planning to go to the arcade. Does anyone want that?" Hyun-Jung said as all of the members were walking down the street, looking for a place to go and have some fun.
"Arcade? There are too many people there. Our manager doesn't want us to be in a crowded space." Iseul explained.
"Oh yeah, right." Hyun-Jung agreed.
"Then where are we going then? There's no place in Korea that doesn't have a crowd." Ji-Hun said softly, keeping his voice down despite still having a soar throat.
"Don't force yourself to speak, Ji-Hun. And yeah, Ji-Hun's right." Minsu said.
"Let's just look for somewhere to go to," Iseul said as they kept walking, looking from left to right before they found a little cafe, not crowded as the other one down the street.
"Oh, this cafe is CUTE!" Minsu said as he looked at the decorations of the cafe and it was quite aesthetic.
"This is definitely gonna be on my Instagram" Ji-Hun said as he tried to speak slowly while pulling out his phone from his pocket.
"Let's take a group photo first then we can go for solo shots," Iseul said before pulling out his phone as well.
"Why don't we all order something inside first? That's the first thing we should do before we take pictures of ourselves in the cafe." Hyun-Jung said.
"Oh yeah, right," Minsu said before he chuckled and went inside the cafe. The members followed their maknae inside. The members went to take their orders. Once they received their orders, they went outside to take pictures outside the cafe because it was decorated nicely. They walked on the street for a few bit, drinking the beverage they ordered at the cafe before they finally went home, eating the 4 pieces of cake they bought in the cafe also.
August 20, Saturday / Practice / Luminous Music Dance Practice Area
After they took a break on that day, they started doing the practice schedules they had on their schedule. As usual, they were tired of it. But for their vocal practice, Ji-Hun was excused for it was because of his soar throat.
After their long practice, their manager advised them to go to the lobby after practice. The members did what their manager want and as they went inside the lobby, they greet the people inside it, The Assistant of the CEO, and their manager, of course, before sitting down on the couch.
"So tomorrow is our first comeback album preparation. We will still have practice schedules once we finished the comeback preparation schedules earlier than we expect. But for tomorrow, no need to bring extra clothes and just... bring yourself." Their manager said before he explained what will the members do tomorrow. Will this comeback end well? Will it succeed?
