"I kinda wanna play Jenga," Minsu said while pouting at Ji-Hun. Iseul looked at the members while pointing at the camera, signaling them that it was already live.
The members introduced the group first before saying anything else.
"So, We are going to play a board game again. But this time, we swear that Minsu's not gonna change his personality agai-"
"Stop!~" Minsu said, cutting Ji-Hun's statements as the members laughed.
"Anyways, these games will be our choices for today's live," Iseul said before Hyun-Jung grabbed the Cards against humanity box.
"I played this game before with my friends. I know this game is an English one."
"We can speak Engrish, right?" Minsu said, keeping his Korean accent on his English statement which made the members chuckle.
"I mean, we all can." Hyun-Jung said before he looked at the iPad the staff gave to them to check the comments. "Please play jenga!" He said out loud, reading the comment he saw.
"We are all afraid that Minsu will act strange again..." Ji-Hun said after he heard Hyun-Jung reading the comment.
"I won't do it this time! I promise!" Minsu defended himself.
The members started looking at the live chat, getting the suggestions of the viewers on what board games should they play. Sometimes, the members even read the comments that interest them out loud so they can interact with the viewers so the live won't be boring.
"A lot of people are suggesting that we should play Jenga," Iseul said, keeping an eye out for the live chat. "Well, if people want us to be afraid of Minsu again, of course, we can play that game!" Ji-Hun said, still teasing Minsu about the last time they played board games.
Hyun-Jung grabbed the Jenga as he gave the other board games back to the staff behind the camera. "So, Jenga it is." He said.
"Let me assemble it." Iseul volunteered but he and Hyun-Jung ended up assembling it together as Ji-Hun and Minsu were interacting with the live chat, telling them that there will be no spoilers for the comeback.
"You'll have to wait for our song to be released! Just hold on tight, everyone!" Minsu said and just in time, the Jenga blocks were already assembled. "Let's play the game!" Hyun-Jung said after he sighed with relief after assembling the blocks.
"Whoever is the closest one to have their birthday, will go first," Ji-Hun said. It made Hyun-Jung disappointed since he just had his birthday last month. "Oh come on!" He exclaimed.
"Well, I guess I'll go second to the last. I just had my birthday as well." Minsu said, quite okay with it.
"Then I'll be second, Iseul's the first one since He'll have his birthday on our comeback date!" Ji-Hun said all of the people inside the lobby starts clapping and cheering for Iseul.
"Oh yeah! My birthday's coming up! You guys remembered!" Iseul said chuckling with embarrassment that he didn't even remember his birthday. "Why would we forget??" Hyun-Jung questioned. After that, the members start playing the Jenga game by pulling 1 block on the blocks Iseul and Hyun-Jung assembled earlier and putting it on top of the tower. The game starts to get tense when the tower gets higher.
"I think this is it," Hyun-Jung said while Minsu was trying to pull a block from the tower. He was slowly doing it and he was even putting his game face on. The members were devasted after Minsu successfully pulled the block out from a risky spot.
"Oh god, this is it! The tower's gonna fall." Hyun-Jung said, quite disappointed that he will lose the first round of Jenga.
"Have a little faith in yourself. It's not gonna fall, I swear." Iseul said, pointing at the tower. Hyun-Jung stepped close to the tower before he starts looking at what block should he pull to at least not make the tower fall. "Fine..." He said.
After finding the perfect block he knew, He starts pulling it off centimeter by centimeter. He didn't know that he was too focused that he stuck his tongue out. After a few seconds, The block he was pulling are already half out of the tower.
Hyun-Jung stood up and moved away from the tower as he hopped from nervousness, trying to keep himself together. "I don't wanna lose!" He said as his voice was shaking.
"You can do it!" Minsu said, chuckling at Hyun-Jung who seem to really put a lot of effort into pulling that single risky block. After pulling himself together, Hyun-Jung came back for round 2 as he starts pulling the block once again. He then successfully pulled the block out of the tower and placed it on top of it. "YES!" He screamed while moving away from the tower.
"I'm screwed," Iseul said as he moved closer to the tower of Jenga blocks, looking for the right or loosed block to pull.
September 18, Sunday / Pre-Promotion Schedule / Van
"Today's Schedule, We will practice our album showcase on Luminous Music Studio." Their Manager said after looking at his tablet where their schedule was listed there. The members nod their heads as if they were okay with the schedule.
"Oh, we have album showcase now? Luminous Music really had the money for all of this." Hyun-Jung said.
"Well except our CEO had to work 3 jobs just to keep the company going. I feel worried about our CEO..." Minsu said and their manager kinda overheard what the members were talking about. "Where did you hear that?" He asked.
"Uhh~ Well, we kinda overheard the conversation the staff had when we were eating lunch at our break. Can we ask how our CEO was doing? We were getting worried as we kept getting all this great news that involves money." Ji-Hun asked. Their manager turns his head around to talk to the members about their CEO's condition.
"He is okay. His assistant even wants him to not pay him just to make the company stable." Their manager said, spitting the facts and the condition of the company.
September 4, Sunday / ??? / Luminous Music CEO's Office
"Are you sure you don't want your paycheck? It was almost like you're volunteering to be an assistant and it's just not fair!" Dong-Wook, The CEO of the company said on Jun-so's Phone.
"I'm okay with no Paychecks. Dong-Wook, remember what I said before we even start the company? I said that once we encountered near bankruptcy, I can sacrifice my paycheck. I'm so happy to even be an assistant to the company you really want to build. We are in this together." Jun-so said as he can hear Dong-Wook sniff on the phone.
"I promise once M41's comeback is done, and if it was successful, I will pay you back, twice the paycheck you reciev-"
"No need. I'm happy with even no paychecks." Jun-so said, cutting Dong-Wook's sentence. "I will find another job for me so I can help you with the expenses. Maybe I will do a part-time job. I can ask the manager of M41 to take care of the company while we are both away." He added.
"Jun-so... You don't have to do this. I can't let you work to other jobs... You'll get tired.." Dong-Wook said while he was sniffing.
"Get tired? How about you? You have 4 jobs every week. You don't get to rest just like before. Please, just let me help..."
September 18, Sunday / Pre-Promotion Schedule / Luminous Music Studio
"I can't believe Dong-Wook really had 3, not just 3 but 4 jobs..." Hyun-Jung said, still not over with the story their manager told them.
"All we have to do now is to work harder so we can help the company. In that way, we can even stop our CEO to do the jobs he's doing to keep the company." Iseul said before the staff called them to go to the stage after it was already set for the practice run.
September 21, Wednesday / Pre-Promotion Schedule / Van
"I let Iseul go up and get my water jug. What should we do for his birthday!!!" Hyun-Jung said after he begged Iseul to get his water jug.
"I know a plan. What if we surprise him after we perform Our Universe at our Album showcase? Like greet him or sing happy birthday to him after our routine?" Minsu suggested.
"Or like I'll run backstage, go back with a cake," Ji-Hun suggested.
"We might have to ask our manager to assist us with that plan. You two distract Iseul while I talk to our manager. GO!" Hyun-Jung said after Minsu and Ji-Hun ran towards Iseul who was about to run towards the van.
"HOLD ON! Let's go back! I forgot my uhmm.."
"His perfume! Silly him.." Minsu said before he dragged Iseul away from the van. As all the members except for Hyun-Jung is away from the van, Hyun-Jung started to discuss their plans for Iseul's Birthday and asked him to assist with their plan. Fortunately, their manager agreed with the plan and he said that he will tell the plan to all of the staff in the company so they can be ready with it.
September 24, Saturday / Pre-Promotion Schedule / Luminous Music Lobby.
The members were patiently waiting for every staff of the company to come since the CEO wanted them to check how things are going and also to congratulate M41 for their hard work. Now that tomorrow is their big day, He just wants to make sure that they can do it and that It will be a success. All of the staff, including the members of M41, stood up as soon as they saw the assistant of the CEO open the glass door for the CEO before all of the people inside the lobby greeted him.
"Sit down everyone." The CEO said before he looked at every one of the people, especially M41. "How are things with the preparation of the comeback?" He asked. The staff, one by one, told everything, and even the unfortunate events that happened like the Iseul incident, and the stage prop that got broken.
"But Iseul, are you okay now? Are you feeling better?" The CEO said after hearing the news.
"Sir, I'm okay. That was a long time ago." Iseul said while chuckling. "That's so good to hear." The CEO said.
"How are things with The M41? is their pre-promotion schedule doing good? Are the costumes okay with the members?" The CEO elaborated on all the things that are needed for this comeback. The staff told every bit of it. The CEO was quite relieved that everything is going smoothly while he was gone.
"So everything is going so smooth than I expect. I'm so proud of you all." The CEO smiled, looking at everyone in the lobby. "A lot of you all know that I am working 4 jobs a week. I mean, it's hard, but It will be worth it since I know that every one of you is working so hard to make this comeback a success. And by that, it makes me want to be proud of myself and the company. I just want to say that, thank you for sticking around with the company, doing your job as we reach the end of the preparations..." The CEO said and even some of the staff started crying after the job was well done.
"Don't cry! Let's celebrate!" Jun-so, the assistant of the CEO said before the staff, the members, and everyone in the room cheered, clapping their hands for the smooth and successful preparations they did for the comeback of The M41.
