"Our CEO had 3 jobs?" Iseul said, kinda feeling sorry for their CEO.
"It shows that our CEO can do anything for his company. But why does he have to go to a job? And 3 jobs? Isn't that hard?" Hyun-Jung said as the members went silent, worried about their CEO.
August 29, Monday / Comeback Preparation / Luminous Music Practice Area
"Be precise with the moves, Hyun-Jung!" Their Dance coach said, shouting at the members while they do their dance routine for their comeback song. After a few hours of practicing, Their Dance coach gave them a 30 Minute Break which made the Members sit on the floor, grabbing their bags, drinking water, and wiping their sweat.
"Do you still have water?" Ji-Hun said to Minsu as he was wiping his sweat off his face and chest.
"I ran out earlier..." Minsu answered as if it was running out of breath.
"Gimme your jug," Ji-Hun said, almost snatching Minsu's Water Jug from him as he fill it up with half of his water.
"That's too many, how about you?" Minsu said.
"I'm okay," Ji-Hun said. The two didn't know they were observed by the other 2 members, Iseul and Hyun-Jung.
"Can we also have water?" Hyun-Jung said, giving Ji-Hun puppy eyes.
"I don't have any left," Ji-Hun answered.
"Oh? but for Minsu, you have a lot, huh..." Hyun-Jung said while chuckling before he jugged his water.
September 1, Thursday / Comeback Preparation / Luminous Music Studio
Finally, it's the schedule for their MV Shooting. The members were excited about it and even talked about it during these past few days while they were practicing.
"We're here. Finally." Hyun-Jung said as he hopped out of the van.
"What will be our set looks like? I'm actually kind of excited." Minsu said as the members hurriedly followed their manager and went inside the studio. The studio is filled with staff, running rushing, and some even tripped off. It was a riot.
"What's happening?" Iseul said, observing the scene.
"Mr. Manager, Oh god, I'm glad you're here. We had some problems with the set props. It got broken and the team was fixing it." The staff said before he hurriedly went to the place where the stage prop is.
"Broken? How can this be broken? We paid a lot of money with the props!" Their manager said as he hurriedly went to the place. The members went to check on the situation.
"Oh yeah... it's broken-broken..." Ji-Hun expressed, looking at the broken props.
"What happened? How did it break like that?" Iseul said but before the members stayed there, looking at the riot, one staff escorted them to their room to get M41 ready for the MV Shooting. The members were, however, still worried about the props. Who sabotaged it?
After a few hours of applying makeup, dressing up the members, and fixing their hair, they were finally ready for the MV Shooting. The members wore all white outfits that each member had different styles like Minsu wore shorts with high socks, Ji-Hun wore puffy pants, Hyun-Jung with his skinny pants, and Iseul with his pants but has holes on them as part of its design. They were escorted outside of their room and went to the second set which was filled with a sand-like texture floor and greenscreen, actually, a blue screen background.
"I bet we were on a different planet when the MV was released," Hyun-Jung said before Minsu looked at him
"I was just thinking the same thing!" Minsu said. The members, again, were escorted to sit on the chairs while the staff was still setting up the equipment and the set. They also gave the members a bottle of water in case they feel thirsty.
"I kinda wanna touch the sand," Iseul said as he knew there was a camera behind him, He knew it was a documentary for behind-the-scenes.
"Is it really sand? Like it actually looks more... Fluffy." Minsu said.
"Fluffy? Is that the right word to describe that unknown particle?" Hyun-Jung said as he was chuckling.
"I don't really know. Maybe it's painted dirt?" Minsu said as he was actually eager to touch the particle on the set.
"Can we actually paint dirt? is it a thing?" Iseul said.
"I don't know... Can you look it up?" Hyun-Jung said before Iseul opened his phone and looked up at the internet to look for answers.
"I don't think you can paint dirt? but there are different colors of dirt." Iseul said as he showed the picture of different colors of dirt, including the one they had on the set. He also showed the pic on the camera.
"makes sense. I'm so excited to touch it." Hyun-Jung said, looking at the dirt.
"You know it's just dirt... With different colors, Right?" Ji-Hun said, chuckling at his statement.
"You know how to ruin someone's mood. Keep it up." Hyun-Jung said.
"Thanks," Ji-Hun responded. The members patiently waited for the call before the staff finally put them on the set. The members immediately touched the dirt after they stepped on it.
"It's dirt," Minsu said as the members laughed. They were escorted to the center of the set before the staff rolled the cameras, Filming M41 as they danced to their Comeback song. They made a few retakes since the members were quite nervous. They ended the film greatly and they even shot a few cinematic scenes as their director told them to do.
September 2, Friday / Comeback Preparation / Luminous Music Studio
"Day 2!" Iseul said, entering the studio with the members and their manager.
"I wonder what happened to the stage prop that got broke yesterday," Hyun-Jung said.
"Oh yeah, I bet they fixed it already," Ji-Hun responded as they, once again, got escorted to the dressing room. After a few hours, The members went outside the room with their outfits on. It was the same clothes they wore yesterday. They were escorted to the second set still because they had to shoot more cinematic scenes on it. But this time, gigantic rocks were added to the set instead of only the colored dirt.
"That's one big rock," Iseul said as soon as he saw the set.
"Oh! look at the tip of the rock. It has a glowing light there. I bet someone's gonna climb there and act like they see something." Minsu said, already noticed and even theorized the final output of the MV.
"It is most likely to be you. You're the center after all" Ji-Hun said.
"Do you think I can climb that rock?" Minsu responded as the staff escorted them to sit on the same seats they had yesterday. As soon as they sat on the chair, A cameraman came in, filming for behind-the-scenes.
"I think it will be you, Ji-Hun," Iseul said.
"Yeah, it would make sense if the director choose you to climb that rock. You have the right body for it." Hyun-Jung stated.
"Oh? You mean I have a nice body?" Ji-Hun said, almost flexing it to the members. The members chuckled at Ji-Hun. After a few minutes of talking, the director told the members to go to the center of the set. In the first scene, they were advised to walk somewhere as they pretend they were inspecting the set. The members did well with the scene as soon as the camera rolled. They took the scene a few times for closeup shots of each of the members before they got to the second scene.
As the members suspected, Ji-Hun was advised to stay on the set while the other members walked back to their seats and were given a bottle of water.
"Told you he's gonna do it," Iseul said as he observed everything.
"Ji-Hun, you can climb that rock, right?" The director said to the mic and Ji-Hun nodded after being asked.
"Great. Now, climb the rock, grab the small glowing light on the tip of the rock and pretend you found some treasure as you raise the light in the air." The director said and it was clear for Ji-Hun as he already got close to the rock. Once the camera rolled, Ji-Hun already climbed on the rock and even pretends to get tired after climbing. He followed the instructions correctly and even got a few retakes for angle and him laughing at his own acting skills. But still, it ended pretty well.
The director called Iseul for his solo shot. Iseul quickly went to the center of the set as Ji-Hun took his seat as the staff gave him a bottle of water.
"Good job, Ji-Hun," Hyun-Jung said, showing him his thumb as a sign that Ji-Hun really did well.
"Thanks. I was born to act." Ji-Hun said before they chuckled.
"Iseul, all you have to do is lay on the floor, and look at the sky." The director said and even he chuckled as he knew his scene was easy to do. The cameras rolled as soon as he got into his position. He even got sentimental while looking at the sky and he was so serious about it to the fact that it only got 5 retakes for angles because it was too perfect. Iseul ran back to the members as he grabbed his water after his scene.
"You look so handsome with your serious face," Hyun-Jung said and even Minsu agreed by nodding.
"I didn't expect it would turn out great to be honest," Iseul said after he drank his water as he chuckled embarrassedly. The director called Minsu for his solo shot. He was advised to read a book beside the rock and act like he was casting spells with his right hand. While he was on standby, he was already making up moves on his right hand so he will be prepared when the camera rolled. He did great once the camera rolled.
Hyun-Jung was called by the director after Minsu. He immediately went to the center of the set and the director told him to inspect the area and even touch the dirt. The members laughed at it as Hyun-Jung heard he can touch the dirt. Once the camera rolled, he did what he was instructed to do and they did retakes for angle change as usual.
September 3, Saturday / Comeback Preparation / Luminous Music Studio
"Day 3!" Iseul said, with a tone just like he did yesterday. The members went inside the studio and they immediately went to the dressing room since they knew they will be escorted there. After a few hours of preparing, The member stepped outside the room. Their costumes were different this time. Minsu and Hyun-Jung wore something that you wore at your house, Ji-Hun wore a school uniform with a space vibe to it, and Iseul wore all white but different from what they wore last time.
"Hello, This is Ji-Hun. Reporting for duty." Ji-Hun said before looking at his outfit.
"I love your outfit," Minsu said while the members opened the doors to the first set. The set was divided into 3 rooms. 1st room is a living room with a low-setting light. 2nd room is a space-like school, and the 3rd room is a greenscreen.
"Where did this come from? I mean how did they manage to buy all the materials to create these kinds of stuff?" Hyun-Jung said.
"Remember when we heard that the CEO had 3 jobs? Let's just hope that this comeback will be more successful than our debut so it won't be hard for him." Minsu said before the members went to their seats. The cameraman went close to them to film the behind-the-scenes.
"So, Minsu and Hyun-Jung on the living room, I'm on the space school and Iseul's on the greenscreen?" Ji-Hun said as he pointed at the rooms.
"That makes sense. Minsu? Let's talk about how we interact with each other since we are a partner for this specific scene." Hyun-Jung said before looking at Minsu. The male nodded as they waited patiently in their seats for them to start.
After a few minutes, the staff started filming. They filmed first the partners, Minsu and Hyun-Jung in the 1st room. The director told them to act like they were studying and once their line comes, they can sing to it. The other scene they filmed is where they were tasked to do nothing or to act like they were bored and they did what the director told them to do.
Ji-Hun came next after the two. Minsu and Hyun-Jung came back to their seats as Ji-Hun went to the second room. The director told him to act like he was studying and to use the books behind him. He can also sing his lines as the director said. They took a few retakes for the different angles and it worked out pretty well.
Iseul came last. He came to the greenscreen room and he was asked to wander and look around. He did what the director told him once the camera rolled.
