What the heck!
The next thing I knew, he had slammed his lips to mine and nearly knocked all air from my lungs.
I hardly had a moment to react before he pressed his tongue to the seam of my lips expecting me to grant him access to delve in.
I tightened my lip, refusing to barge.
What is wrong with him?
He pulled me closer to his chiseled chest, I splayed my hands against it, intending to push him but I inhaled a sharp breath when his palms settled on my waist and gave it a squeeze. My lips parted and he delved in, awakening all the nerves.
He tasted amazing.
It was a very sloppy kiss with the strong scent of mint lingering in his mouth as he kisses me. He was really kissing me and I'm finding it hard to believe it.
I didn't know when I kissed him back. My arms reached up from where I left them on his chest and tangled around his thick, strong neck.
My entire body feels like its been set on fire, I've never felt like this before or kissed anyone like this before. Well, it's not like I've really kissed before.
I'm feeling so weird yet nice. It feels so good. I have no idea what I was doing and I find it hard to stop.
His hands moved from my waist and cupped my flushed cheeks. He pulled back and stared at my face. "My Leo" he breathed in a sexy tone.
I could feel goosebumps forming on my skin. I hardly recovered from it before he crushed his lips back on to mine, his tongue sliding in at once.
My mind was no longer in charge, the sweet sensation has taken over my senses and entire body but I have to stop before things get out of hand. He's my boss for goodness sake! I can't kiss him. What the fuck am I doing?
I pushed my hands against his chest.
"Stop." My voice was barely audible and I hardly recognized my voice. It was low and husky.
He didn't stop!
I pushed him hard this time and even though he didn't move an inch, he stopped and looked at me.
His eyes were dark, his lips held a deep shade of pink and swollen from kissing me.
"Stop" I said again even though I really want to keep kissing him.
He groaned, took a step from me and muttered a sorry before walking away.
Just like that?
I stood stupefied on the same spot as I watched his receding form.
What just happened?
'You just kissed your boss.'
My subconscious replied and I blushed harder.
I covered my cheeks, praying that Raymond do not see them or worse saw what went on here as I walked back inside.
"Took you so long huh?" Raymond asked when I stepped into the room.
What? Did he really see what happened?
"Well.. I...you... I was.. I can.. explain." I stuttered badly.
" Explain what? It's not like I'm interested in those boring business talks. "
So he didn't see? Oh great!
" Yeah." I replied dumbly.
"You've been absent for two days so it's obvious there's a lot you two need to catch up with." He added and rocks Leonard.
" Is he feeling any better?" I asked and sat beside him.
" Yes, he's actually trying to sleep."
"Okay."
" So tell me why you left the country so suddenly?"
" Well, I went for an exam. "
" An exam? "
" Yes, I'm actually studying to become a surgeon."
" Wow! You never mentioned it to me and seriously I didn't know you were schooling secretly"
" Yeah, I have been going to school that's why you don't normally gets to see me at home. And you remember the day I met you in the streets? I think when you were going for an abortion."
" Yeah, I remember."
" I was coming back from lectures then and when you woke up and didn't see me, I was in school then. I'm sorry to have left you though. "
" It's okay, I'm just surprised but happy as anything."
" I never knew the one who saved you is actually your boss now."
" Yes, everything happens for a reason." I replied.
"So how was the exam? Was it successful?" I asked.
" Yes, it was."
" Look there, he has fallen asleep." I pointed to Leonard. " Let me put him to bed."
He nodded and gave him to me.
When I returned, we cooked and ate together while discussing random issues.
"So I've decided that I'll stay with you until Leonard heals." Raymond said while we were washing the dishes.
" You won't go to work?" I asked and continued washing.
" Nope, I'll take a short leave."
"You don't have to worry about us, we'll be fine. Besides I won't be going to work until he's completely fine and tomorrow is Saturday and there is Sunday too.
I think he should be alright by then. If he doesn't then it means no work. All you have to do is make sure you come home earlier than before on Monday"
" Alright, I thought you'll resume work on Monday."
" It depends."

When I woke, my hands moved on the bed in search of Leonard with my eyes still closed.
"Sweetheart" I muttered sleepily. I hardly slept last night because he kept waking up.
My eyes snapped open when I didn't feel him.
I got up and rubbed my eyes. I looked around once again before running out.
"Raymond! Raymond!" I called as I looked around the room.
I went to Raymond's room and when I didn't see him, I realized that he told me that he has class to attend today.
Then where's my baby?
Where's Leonard?
This is not happening!
My heartbeat increased and beat wildly.
Where did he go? He's so little. He couldn't have gone far.
The house doesn't even look like it has been robbed but what if my baby got kidnapped...no no. I won't think of that.
I ran around the room again and looked under tables and chairs. I went back inside my room and checked under the bed then the bathroom.
I did the same for Raymond's room. I searched the kitchen as well but to no avail.
My hands grabbed my hair and pull it out of anger before rushing out.
Why was I so careless?
I rushed to the back of the house , bent and placing both hands on my knees while panting heavily with my head facing the ground.
After catching enough breath, I looked up to continue my search and what I saw got me surprised yet annoyed.
How dare him?
In front of me is Mr Dave Anosova playing football with my son.
"Leonard!" I called and began walking towards them in a fit of rage.
He noticed my presence and stopped tossing the ball. He stood akimbo with beads of sweat trickling on his chest.
He wore a white v-neck shirt and joggers. His unruly hair was wild and some were sticking on his face.
He looked like Greek god right now but am not gonna fall for it.
He thinks he can do whatever he wants to because he helped me a few times?
"What the fuck are you doing here and how dare you take my son without my permission?"
I yelled in his face but he didn't even blink, he just kept staring. Staring at me with his mouth parted slightly.
"Answer me,do you think we kissed so that is enough to barge into my room and take my son?" I yelled once again but the fool was now smiling.
I stared at him in confusion. Has he gone nuts or something?
"What's so funny? Why are you smiling while I'm busy talking to you?" I hit him on the chest.
Just like someone under a spell, he blinked a few times.
"Did you say something?"
What? Didn't he hear all that I said?
