"I'm itching to find out who that mafia boss is and bring him down," I whispered.
"Don't get too excited. This mafia is big, most of the big companies here in Manila and other places are connected to them. This mafia is not easy so if you want to kill him, you just have to be tronger and not making weaknesses," he said and looked at our house. Is he saying Warren is my weakness?
"What do you mean?" I asked him irritated.
"I'm saying, I don't like him for you. I have a bad feeling about him," he said.
"You know what? No one cares about your opinion, and thanks for the visit, you can go now," I said seriously. He was surprised by how i reacted but soon after, he grinned.
"I see, so you fell in love with him," I was surprised by what he said. Am I really in love with Warren? I... I don't know, really. I just want to protect him.
"Care and love are not the same. I only care for him, nothing more nothing less. I can't love someone like him romantically."
"Hahahah, he'll be hurt if he hears this. Alright, I'm leaving, maybe your fiancé is waiting upstairs," he said and let me out of the car. I looked out the window in Warren's room, and i saw him looking from the window. He immediately hid when he saw me looking at him.
"Just be careful," Yuhan said and left. I looked out the window again and saw Warren waving at me so I waved back. I went up to my room with Warren.
I saw him impatiently sitting on our bed. I went straight to the bathroom and took a shower. I was only wearing a bathrobe when I came out of the bathroom. I caught him rolling on the bed as if he was avoiding falling asleep. I just laughed at what he was doing like a child.
"Wife!" he shouted when he saw me leaning against the edge of the door, watching him.
"What are you doing?" I asked him while giggling.
"I want to stay awake," he answered.
"Why?"
"Let's make a baby," he said smiling making my eyes widen.
"B-baby? And why do you want to have a baby?" I wondered.
"I want someone to take care of and play with whenever you're gone," he said with a smile. I scratched the back of my neck, how do i explain this?
"Alright, after our wedding I'll think about it," I said with a smile.
"Promise?"
"Promise." I hope he forgets this promise.
"Yehey! I hope we get married soon!" he said loudly and jumped up and down. Think like a child, maybe instead of taking care of the baby as a child. He will take care of it as a friend, definitely not a good idea to have a baby and have him take care of her.
The next day, I woke up early. Today is Sunday so its my training day. The only difference is... Warren complains that he will come so i had to go to the gym and not the usual place where I train with Yuhan. I also couldn't focus on warren's actions. I'm always being touched and teased by warren so I left after a few minutes. What I did was no different than taking a small child to the gym.
"Shall we have ice cream?" he asked
"No. You've already consumed 30 ice creams this morning."
"Let's play?"
"What game?"
"Hide and seek."
"Alright, I can hide anywhere in this world but if you can't find me, you won't see me again, what's the deal?" I asked smiling.
"No! That's not possible." he said pouting. I just kept driving without looking at him.
"*sob*"
I was surprised when he suddenly started crying.
"O-oh? What's wrong?" I asked confused.
"W-wifey doesn't like me anymore," he said like a child while crying.
"Don't you act like a child there?" I said laughing. But I feel like I made a mistake in what I said because he really looks like a child.
"Child!" he shouted while pointing to the front. I immediately turned around and saw a child crossing the street
I quickly stepped on the brake of the car and got out to see what happened to the child.
"You killed her!" Warren thretened me when we saw the unconscious child lying on the road. I looked at the child wearing an expensive dress but it was torn and full of dirt, some blood had hardened.
What happened to this child? I was surprised when I saw her face.
"Come and let's help her," I said to Warren. He nodded and picked up the child. We put the child in the car and rushed to the hospital.
"It seems like this has happened before," Warren whispered but I didn't payed attention to him anymore. --
"You didn't hit her. She just passed out from exhaustion and hunger," the doctor explained. I looked at the child who was now fast asleep.
"She's pitiful, wifey. Can we just take her home?" Warren says. I smiled at what he thought and nodded. I can make him forget about the baby.
"Sure!" I happily answered him.
"This is what you do. Watch over her here first because I have something else to do. Is that okay? When she wakes up, you'll have a game," I said smiling to him. His face lit up and he quickly nodded.
"Alright! Thanks wifey!" he said happily. I smiled at him before leaving the hospital. I have to meet Yuhan and confirm something.
Rachelle's POV,
I slowly opened my eyes and I saw a figure of a handsome man. But he looks abnormal.
"Hi kid! How are you?" he asked excitedly. I ignored him and looked around.
"Where am I?" I asked.
"Give me water," I added.
"You're in the hospital. My wife almost ran into you so we brought you here. I bought you food. here," he said while handing me a paper bag and water.
I quickly took what he gave me and ate it in no time, I almost vomited in the rush but I didn't care. It's been a long time since I've been able to eat a proper meal.
"Just ask if you want something else," he said with a smile. The excitement on his face was so obvious. He looks like an idiot to be honest.
"Hey, mister. Can I have some more water?" I asked him. He quickly nodded and poured me some water.
"Did you know? My wife and I want to take you for adoption. Are you willing to come with us?" he asked excitedly. What is he planning?
"Who are you? I can't go with someone I don't even know." Moreover, I can't trust anyone in this world.
"I'm Warren Christ Yiffer and my wifey, Rafaelia Yiesha Moreal, you?" he asked with joy in his eyes.
"R-rafaelia Moreal?" I asked in shock. It's impossible, that girl... Of all the people she is, I can never forgive them! My memories of what happened in those days began to return.
"Yesh! She's super duper beautiful, strong and kind. I love her so much!" he was happy with the story. I clenched my fist. Kind? Kind my ass, they ruined my life!
"How are you here?" We turned to the source of the voice. Her voice was cold, her eyes looking lifeless at me. I broke the glass I was holding and picked up a sharp piece of it and rushed at the woman who had just entered.
"Woah! That's pretty dangerous," she said with a smile while holding my small hand that was trying to break free. she's too strong.
"I'll kill you!" I shouted at her with all my might.
"As if you can," ahe said while looking at me with her forehead raised. She's definitely looking down on me just because I'm just a weak child.
"W-what's wrong child, please calm down!" I heard Warren plead but I ignored him and continued to struggle from Rafaelia.
"I like you." I was stunned by what Rafaelia said and looked up.
"Well, I hate you!" I yelled at her in annoyance but she just laughed.
"I'll kill you!" I screamed again and struggled, but she tightened her grip on me, causing me to writhe in pain and scream out loud.
"Wife!"
"Do you have the strength to kill me right now?" I was stunned by what she said. "If I were you, I would not act carelessly and wait for the perfect time to attack." I was surprised by what she said.
"Why are you telling me this now?"
"I'll adopt you, and train you to be strong. You can kill me anytime or any way you want. In exchange, I'll use you."
"Shut up! You're tricking me!" I said and backed away from her.
"You know what will happen if you refuse, right?" she threatened with a grin. I fell to the floor while looking down, hopeless. I can't stop trembling. I still remember those days, when my whole family died in front of my very own eyes. I can't die yet, i still have to avenge my family.
"I... I understood," I said in a lower voice.
"Call me mother." She commanded
"I understand, mother." I gritted my teeth in anger. But if I won't agree... She will kill me, just like how he and her killed my family.
