"Hey beauty!" the man smiled at me. "We met again, and as always, you're making a beautiful scene," he teased.
This guy's memory is impressive, but annoying at the same time.
"Would you please, move aside cause I'm pretty busy," I whispered to him irritated but with a fake smile on my lips.
"Come on, for sure I'm way more fun to be with," he said with a smile and grabbed my waist.
"Oh, really?" I replied with a smile and ran my hand over his face. I was about to attack him when I heard a familiar voice.
"Wifey?" I was surprised to look in the direction of the voice. I am very surprised to see Warren standing there staring at me in shock.
I immediately pushed the man I was talking to away and faced Warren. "W-warren, don't misunderstood-" I hadn't finished what I was saying when Warren suddenly left.
"Who's that?" The man asked, so I glared at him and stomped on his foot with my heels.
"He's My fiancé you flirtymaniac!" I answered annoyed and left him to follow Warren when my phone vibrated. Yuhan is calling, and I know why.
What should I do? 'I'm sorry, Warren.' I turned back in the direction Warren ran and continued with my mission.
Warren can wait, this mission can't. I put on the mask and entered the door to the basement.
Using a small flashlight, I continued to walk through the dark room. A few steps down the stairs, we reached the very bottom. I heard a noise so I double careful.
"Please eat what I prepared. Sir will be angry if you don't eat." I heard a woman's voice.. I peeked slowly and saw the target and the maid trying to feed her.
"Just let me die." I heard a faint whisper of the woman.
"I'll leave your food here. I'll come back." Said by the maid. I immediately hid and waited for the maid to come near me and quickly grabbed her and put her to sleep.
The maid's body fell to the floor as she lost consciousness. I immediately approached the imprisoned woman.
"I'll get you out of here," I whispered and grabbed her hand. she lost weight since I last saw her.
"You don't have to save me. My life has nowhere to go, just let me die," she said and began to cry. I raised my eyebrows at her drama.
"I'm not here to save you. I want to give you a chance to get back at your old husband," I promised angrily.
"Why else?"
"How stupid, you'll just die here, that's all? Don't you not want to take revenge? With all the torture he put you through, don't you want to witness his downfall?" I asked her one question after another. she seemed to stop sobbing and think.
"How?" I grinned when I saw the anger and hatred in hed eyes.
"If you can survive here and help us with what we need, we will bring down the Governor. So stand," I said and helped her to stand.
"I'll do anything, to avenge jack," she whispered. I nodded to her and we started to walk out of this place, but before that, I took the clothes of the maid i put to sleep earlier.
"Use it so they won't recognize you." I handed her the maid's uniform I got.
"Thank you," She whispered and hurriedly got dressed. We climbed out and when we reached the door, I first looked to see if anyone was there. I didn't see anyone so we both went out.
At this time, almost all guests of Gov. Is in the Garden, so there are not many people inside the house.
"Get out of-" I didn't finish what I was about to say when we suddenly heard a gunshot.
"The Gov. Was shot!" There was chaos all around because of that one shot.
'Warren!' I firmly grabbed the wrist of the woman I was holding and pulled her to the side.
"Bend in with the crowd, just escape, for now." I whispered loudly to her. she nodded so I left her to look for Warren.
"Warren, if anything happens to you, I won't be able to forgive myself. Please, be safe," I nervously whispered as I looked for him in the middle of the crowd.
I called Warren's phone but he didn't answer. What could have happened to him? I quickly called Yuhan to ask him where Warren was.
"You messed up, Rafa. What's wrong with you? Why did you let the target go?" in light of my sermon by Yuhan, but i don't care.
"Where's Warren?" I asked, ignoring everything he just said.
"What? You're going to put that man first over the mission?" Yuhan asked me in shock.
"I don't care, find Warren, now!" I screamed.
"Warren has gone home already, no need to worry, Rafa." I breathed a sigh of relief when I heard that. I'm really glad to hear that he's fine.
"I'm glad," I whispered and ended the call. I quickly left the party and went home, just like the others, they also went home in fear.
When I got home, I quickly went straight to the bedroom, where I saw Warren standing next to our bed. I didn't say anything else and quickly hugged him tightly.
I could feel his surprise at what I did but that matter was no longer in my mind.
"I'm really glad, you're okay, Warren. Why didn't you pick up my calls? I'm so worried that something might had happened to you," I whispered while not letting him go from the hug.
"Did something happen, Wifey?" he asked. And brushed my hair.
"No-nothing, I'm sorry about the thing earlier. I didn't follow you," I whispered.
What should I do? I think I became more attached to this guy. I can't bear to lose him anymore. The fear I had earlier, I don't want to feel that again,
"By the way, are you naked right now?" I asked nervously, I just charged at him but I can't really remember if he's fully naked what. But I feel that he has no clothes.
"Ah, yes." My whole face immediately turned red at his answer. Omg! I just hugged a naked guy!
"Is that bad?" Please, stop being polite! It feels like I'm abusing you or what!
"N-no, we're fiancé, after all," I nervously whispered and immediately pushed him a little away from me and looked away.
I don't want to see his body, it's embarrassing.
"Yes, we're fiancé after all, so it's alright if I kiss you right?" he asked.
"Ye- I mean what?" I was surprised to turn to him but I was even more surprised when he grabbed both of my cheeks and kissed me on the lips.
It was only for a moment, but my chest didn't heave from the beating.
"I'm sorry I made you worry, Wifey, I was just sulking because you didn't follow me, so I went home and didn't answer your call," he explained with a pout.
I raised an eyebrow when I heard that he deliberately didn't answer my call.
"I was going to answer your next call, but you didn't call again."
"So it's really my fault?" I whispered pissed off.
"I'm sorry, Wifey. It won't happen again," he said with a smile.
"Is there anything else I can do? I must be very cruel if I just leave you since it was my fault in the first place," I whispered breathlessly.
"Anyways, get dressed, I'm going to take a shower first," I said and went straight to the bathroom.
I immediately locked the door and called Yuhan. "Rafa! You're unbelievable. You really left your job just for that man!" Yuhan shouted at me.
"Yah, yah, I'm sorry, okay?" I answered bored.
"So, where's that girl?" i ask.
"Luckily, I was able to find her, for now she's under my care so, she's safe. About the Gov. Someone tried to assassinate him but failed. The Governor is in the hospital now but he only got scars," Yuhan explained at length. .
"I see, I guess mission is somehow accomplished," I whispered and breathed a sigh of relief.
"Yes, but you'll still have to receive punishment regarding your actions in the mission, not only did you make too many unnecessary scenes, you also abandoned the mission just for a mere man."
"I'm willing to accept any punishment, but I don't regret abandoning the mission for a mere man like him. If there is a situation like this again, I will choose to save him first," I said seriously.
"Rafa, did you fell in love with him?" I am surprised by his question and I couldn't imagine what the answer should be.
"I'm  not sure  if this is love or just a pity, but I care for him and I'll do everything for him. I choose to protect him no matter what and I'm willing to stay by his side, as long  as he wants  me to."
