Chapter 21: The Infinite Sea

Seeing how eager he was, Hoàng Hải Vân couldn't help but find it amusing. Could it be that his words about wanting to marry her during their intimate moments were actually serious? She slowly wiped the remaining water from her lips with a napkin and said,
"Why are you so curious?"
She then gazed off into the distant horizon, her voice tinged with sadness.
"Before, when I was in the body of the Security Bureau’s beauty queen, I couldn’t even seduce him. Now that I’m in your body, my chances are probably below zero."
Seeing Hoàng Hải Vân’s disappointment, Trần Ngọc Linh unexpectedly felt a pang of sadness as well. He knew that he had to find a way for her to return to her real body.
At that moment, Hoàng Hải Vân suddenly remembered the matter of the Yin-Yang Eyes and asked about his next plan.
"Where are we going tomorrow?"
There it was—the inevitable question. If Trần Anh Hùng hadn’t found anything yet, they could stay here for another day and enjoy the peace. But if he had found something, then it was time to embark on their journey.
Trần Ngọc Linh picked up his phone and checked his messages. Just then, a notification popped up—it was a message from Trần Anh Hùng:
"The person with Yin-Yang Eyes and the spiritual power to see souls is a reclusive Zen master living in the mountains..."
Trần Ngọc Linh placed his phone back on the table, unsure whether he felt happy or sad. But as long as Hoàng Hải Vân was happy, that was all that mattered. He answered,
"Tomorrow, we’ll fly north and climb the mountains to find the Zen master. You better eat well, or you won’t have the strength to climb."
Hoàng Hải Vân had been eating like a diligent little bee this whole time—he was actually the one eating less. If anything, she should be the one saying that to him. But still, climbing mountains was definitely better than staying by the sea.
His physical needs were overwhelming. If they went to a sacred place like a monastery, perhaps he would restrain himself from asking for that. At the very least, it would give her soul some much-needed peace.
Right now, if their situation were divided into four entities—two souls and two bodies—then her soul was the weakest one, fighting alone. The two bodies, however, seemed to crave each other instinctively. As for his soul? Well, a cat never turns down fish.
But did her soul truly resist?
Being with him that way had brought her feelings she had never experienced before. Yet the deeper she sank into it, the more unworthy she felt of Phi Toàn.
That night, when they returned to the resort, both were exhausted. As soon as they lay down, they fell asleep immediately.
In each other's arms.

The next morning, Hoàng Hải Vân woke up to find Trần Ngọc Linh still holding her. Gently, she pried his arms away, got up, and freshened up before quietly slipping out to watch the sunrise by the sea, making sure not to disturb his sleep.
Since the resort was right by the ocean, she didn’t have to go far.
But the moment she stepped onto the beach, she was utterly stunned by the breathtaking sight before her. It was like a painting—a surreal masterpiece.
Before her eyes, the boundary between sky and earth seemed to dissolve. The smooth, level sand stretched endlessly, and the receding tide had left only a thin, shimmering layer of water covering the shore. The morning sunlight bathed the surface, transforming it into a colossal mirror reflecting the sky. The scene was so mesmerizing that it felt almost unreal.
Hoàng Hải Vân stood there, entranced by the dreamlike landscape. Slowly, she stepped forward, letting the serene beauty wash over her. When she reached the middle of the vast, endless space, she stopped. She let herself go—let her heart drift freely.
For a moment, time seemed to stand still.
She felt like a tiny existence, adrift in the endless flow of history, standing amidst the boundless grandeur of nature.
Just then, soft music began to play from the resort, carrying words that felt like a love confession:
"The sky is bluer than ever, sunlight kisses the tender leaves,
Morning embraces my soul, ever since you came by.
And love begins, when we gaze into each other’s eyes,
I feel my heart reborn after so many wounds.
Diving into those enchanting eyes, I feel young again,
You make me love like it’s my first time.
A star shining bright in the dark, morning light after the rain,
Reviving me from the ashes of love."
Hoàng Hải Vân turned around and saw Trần Ngọc Linh slowly walking toward her.
Then, without a word, he leaned in and pressed a kiss onto her lips—deep, intoxicating, and sweet as sugar.
She felt herself melt into the strange, intoxicating pull of this love. Her heart trembled, as if it were gently opening its doors to an unfamiliar visitor, leading its owner into a beautiful dream she never wanted to wake from.
Was this the dawn of the sea or the dawn of love?
Two hours later, the tide had fully receded, leaving behind an endless stretch of white sand. The disappearance of the giant mirror was a silent reminder for Hoàng Hải Vân to return to reality. They parted and headed back to the resort for breakfast.
After breakfast, Trần Ngọc Linh’s private jet landed on the resort’s golf course. Five bodyguards were already unloading their luggage.
And just like that, their next journey began.
