Chapter 29 The Last Battle

Ryuga and Lorenzo slammed into each other brutally. They were still duelling, seemingly more fiercely in the cramped submarine. There were no distractions, no way out of there. It was really just the two of them, locked in a deadly duel.
“Don't fight me little boy!” shouted Lorenzo.
“What, you said I was a little boy?” protested Ryuga. “I could kill you if I wanted to. You know that I'm one of the Ryuujin-kai, right?”
Lorenzo laughed in response to Ryuga's statement. “Fool!” He lashed out with a flurry of punches at Ryuga.
Ryuga parried Lorenzo's attack and retaliated with a knife thrust to the chest. Lorenzo dodged at the last second, but the tip of the knife still managed to tear into the side of his shoulder. Fresh blood flowed from Lorenzo's body.
“You're always hunting others, Lorenzo,” Ryuga hissed. “But this time, you'll be our quarry. Give up your game and say goodbye.”
Lorenzo grimaced, but he smiled anyway, maintaining his sly image. “Don't act as if you're better than me, Ryuga. We've both killed mercilessly in the past. You and I are no different, both ruthless members of the mafia.”
Ryuga didn't answer. He simply delivered a kick to Lorenzo's stomach, sending the man staggering backwards and crashing into the control panel of the submarine. Alarms began to sound wildly, a sign that the ship's systems were beginning to malfunction.
Suddenly, the submarine shook violently. “Damn it!” Lorenzo grunted in annoyance at Ryuga's behaviour.
The navigation screen showed an undersea battleship emerging from the ocean's shadow, their guns ready to fire torpedoes.
“You think you can get away? Ryuujin-kai has already prepared one hell of a farewell for you,” Ryuga said sarcastically.
On the communications screen, Nakamura's face appeared, his eyes cold and determined. Reflexively, Lorenzo turned his head towards the screen.
“Lorenzo, just end your game now and give up,” Nakamura's voice came over the speakers. “You'll never be able to match Ryuujin-kai. Understood?”
Lorenzo sighed, then he chuckled. “So, they finally sent the executor. How cute of them,” he sneered.
Ryuga remained alert, his knife still aimed. “Surrender! There's nowhere to escape. These seas are already controlled by the Ryuujin-kai.”
However, Lorenzo pressed the emergency button on the control panel without Ryuga's knowledge. The system automatically began to activate the submarine's security mode and all doors were now locked.
“If I have to die, then you have to go with me,” Lorenzo threatened.
BOOM!
A small explosion occurred at the rear of the submarine. Water began to seep in.
Ryuga realised something that Lorenzo was sinking this submarine, with only the two of them inside.
“Shit! What are you doing?” Ryuga couldn't prevent it.

Meanwhile, Vincent and Kazuto were still arguing and both were trying to save themselves.
The steel pillars inside the headquarters that experienced the explosion began to collapse, flames were already spreading everywhere, and the water pressure began to destroy the iron walls.
Vincent ran through the rubble-filled hallway. His breathing was a little heavy, the wounds on his body getting worse after fighting with Kazuto.
Kazuto was also struggling to get out, but his path was blocked by debris. Vincent briefly turned his head towards him.
Within seconds, a huge explosion shook the room they were both in. A steel wall collapsed, separating them.
Vincent fell to the floor below, hitting the scattered metal. He groaned in pain, but tried to stand up. When he looked up, Kazuto was still there, on the other side that was beginning to sink faster.
They stared at each other.
“This isn't the end, Vin!” shouted Kazuto. “I'll be back to finish this!”
Vincent did not reply. He knew Kazuto would not die easily. Kazuto always had his own way of escaping from danger.
Suddenly, seawater started gushing in from all directions. The headquarters didn't seem like it would last much longer.
Milea appeared from another hallway, running towards Vincent. “Vin, we have to go now!”
“But, Kazuto is still there.”
“Don't mind him anymore. He was mean to you, right?”
Vincent was silent for a moment. However, Milea continued to persuade him. “Come on, Vin! They're waiting for us.”
Vincent nodded, suppressing the pain in his body. “Did Ryuujin-kai do it?” he asked.
“I don't know. But, Uncle Nakamura has already made the attack under the sea. Lorenzo and Ryuga are inside the submarine,” Milea informed.
“What? Ryuga is in the submarine?” Vincent frowned.
“Yes, he's fighting with Lorenzo. There has been no news from Ryuga until now,” Milea explained.
“Danger! Ryuga is in danger now.”
“We know, Vin. Uncle has anticipated it. Let's just follow their plan, the Ryuunjin-kai will sort it out.”
Vincent turned his gaze towards the open ocean, it was quiet beyond the surface. It might be a different story under the sea. Ryuga was betting his life with Lorenzo.
“Come on, Vin! We don't have much time, this place is about to be blown up by my uncle,” Milea urged.
Explosions were already rumbling there. Milea and Vincent ran as hard as they could to escape. The flames from the explosion were spreading faster than she expected.
They finally found the last evacuation capsule. It was confirmed that it was an aid from Ryuujin-kai. There, Valeria and Nakamura were waiting for Vincent.
“You're safe, Vin!” said Nakamura.
“But, Kazuto's still alive,” Vincent replied breathlessly.
“He'll be gone, not for long,” Nakamura assured him.
“So, what about Ryuga?” Vincent diverted.
“He's... finishing his business. That was part of our plan, Vin,” Nakamura explained.
“Come on in, let's just get out of here. Kazuto... he'll self-destruct,” Nakamura added.
“All right,” Vincent accepted his offer.
Vincent helped Milea inside, but before he could follow, Kazuto appeared behind the ruins, pointing a gun at him.
“You won't be able to just leave here, Vin!” threatened Kazuto.
Milea was shocked, “No, don't do this!”
Kazuto smiled coldly. ‘I don't care about the others. But Vin can't leave alive. He has to pay for what his father did to me in the past.’
“Stop it! Vin is innocent,” Milea interrupted. “I have the video footage.”
Suddenly-
DOR!
A shot rang out. One of them fell.
But who?
Everything seemed to go dark.
“NO!” shouted Milea.
