CHAPTER 11
If only my eyes can kill, he's already dead by now but no. He is very alive that he's enjoying listening to one of the vinyl with his eyes close and a smile on his face.
I was staring at him when I felt Caren's tap on my shoulder. I looked at her but she just smiled at me and mouthed "It's fine"
"Caren, he's a disturbance to the business"
"What?" She laughed.
I pointed outside the glass door, tons of girls peeking at him.
"He booked the store for today so it's fine"
"But still" I insisted but Caren just nodded dismissing me. I glanced back to the suspect of the chaos outside. At the same time when I glanced, he opened his eyes making it meet with mine.
He winked at me which annoyed me so I just rolled my eyes.
I don't know why I feel annoyed at him. It just his popularity, all this attentions is not my cup of tea and he's bringing it here in the shop.
I admit I love his music and his voice but him? That's another thing.
I just ignored him and continued checking the prices and the stocks on the counter. When I was interrupted by a vinyl appearing right in front of my face. I looked up to see Theo's boyish grin.
I glared at him and input on the computer.
"Caren! I didn't know you have a new staff in here" He asked.
Caren who just walked out of the storage room comes near smiling "Oh! No Theodore, she's just helping me. She's not a staff"
"Oh!" He exclaimed faking a surprised "What a kind gesture"
Caren nodded agreeing before walking back to somewhere.
Theo looked at me teasingly and I just rolled my eyes before packing what he bought.
I put down the plastic container with the vinyl's, he then picked it up. I stared at him as he checked it. After checking he then looked back at me with brows furrowed but the same boyish grin plastered on his lips.
I thought he would just go out peacefully but no. He bend over a bit to reach my ears and whispered "But a mean attitude"
If only I was in any video or digital animation, all the fire would come out of my ears and my face would be red in anger.
He walked out of the shop whistling a familiar song.
I just gave his back a finger. He's full of air!

"Rachel, you're a traitor!" And here again with Jenn's mouth "You didn't tell me Theo went many times at the vinyl shop!" She whimpered.
"Why would I tell you?"
"RACHEL!" Jenn yelled, she looked at me like I'm some dumb "Of course you have to tell me!"
"And add another annoying person in the shop?" I asked closing the book I was reading. I stood up and cleaned my study table before I marched to my bed.
"What annoying? Theo?" Jenn asked.
"Jenn, can you tone down your voice. It's already late" I scolded her. It's already almost 10 P.M. And she's here ranting.
"Theo is not annoying okay" She exclaimed before laying down on her bed.
"Whatever makes you sleep at night" I boredly uttered.
"I won't help you on acquaintance party"
Right! Next week is our school's acquaintance party but as much as I hate to go, I have to. 3rd and 4th year are mandatory to come.
I sighed, I'll just think about it next week.
Monday came, whispers and excitement clouded the 3rd and 4th building. That includes Jenn who's voice stands out.
"Jenn" I called her. She glanced at me but then rolled her eyes. She's still mad about the vinyl shop with Theo thing.
"Jenn!" I called her again but she didn't look back. It's my turn to roll my eyes, I called her again and that's when she forcely look at me.
"What?!" She exclaimed, brows meeting each other.
I sighed "Okay fine, I give up. I'm sorry I didn't tell you okay"
She looked at me madly but she's listening.
"I need your help for Friday's. You know I don't know things about party's and all so please help me"
Jenn didn't say anything, she just look at me as if reading my sincerity.
After for a while she heaved a sigh and released her arms that I didn't notice was linked together on her chest "What can I get in return?"
Of course, our friendship is all about barters and all.
"I'll tell you once Theo visits the shop again. I promise"
She faked a mad face but I already saw a ghost of smile on her lips "Deal" She immediately left me to have a chitchat with her other friends.
Friday came, it was still early at 6 in the morning when I felt someone shaking me.
"Rachel! Wake up sleepyhead, it's Friday!"
"Jenn, it's still early" I peeked on my side table clock and it's still 6:05.
"Yeah and we don't have time, we have to prepare this early" She still keeps on shaking me.
So I stood up and glare at her "Are you crazy? The party starts at 6:00 P.M. What do you mean we don't have time?"
"I do the magic, I do plan what time we start" Jenn sassily said. She went to her cabinet and opened it wildly. It appeared all her clothes from casuals to dresses.
I really trust her when it comes to this. She really do the magic.
"I have dresses her that matches your long black hair" She said and started picking different colors of dresses "This red sweetheart dress. This is a birthday gift from mom last year. I haven't use this so you can try it for me"
I made a disgust face seeing it is too revealing for me.
Jenn rolled her eyes "Sorry sister" She clasped her hands together and bowed to me like I'm a saint.
"How about this sparkling silver backless dress?" Jenn showed me the dress with a huge smile.
"Jenn, we aren't going clubbing for God's sake" I exclaimed.
She continued showing me dresses, mostly too revealing until we stopped to an off shoulder fitted white dress. It's length is above the knee and out of all the dresses she showed, it's the most proper one.
"I want that one" I stated.
Jenn just shoved it to me "Whatever I'm tired" She pulled another dress. It's a black tube one, the length is below the knee with a slit on one leg. That one is probably hers, that's her style.
Jenn looked at her wrist watch "You take a bath first, I'll just prepare all the things we needed"
I nodded and proceed to the bathroom after pulling my bath robe.
I was done when I saw Jenn rubbing something on her hand "What's that?"
"Hmm?" She glanced at me, I pouted to point at her hand "Ah! I'm trying colors for your eyes"
I nodded before sitting in front of her vanity mirror. Unlike mine, I have one study table only in our dorm while she got a small table for her books and a vanity mirror.
"Make it not too dark Jenn please"
"Trust me babe. I'll make u a beauté"
It took us an hour, I didn't say anything and just trust her in all the process. And she really did great. I look different from my usual self.
Gone was the stress face from all the studying, I admit I look beautiful.
"God Jenn, bless your hand!" She just showed me a boastful smirked.
"How about your hair? What do you prefer? Up or down?"
"I want it down"
Jenn nodded "Okay, I'll just curl it into locks"
So she did, and when she's done she gave me a final look "Oh wait! I have a pearl hair band here. It fits your dress"
She ran to her cabinet and search for it "Found it!"
She ran back to me and put it on my hair "Tada! You're done"
I look at myself. God I look different!
"Rachel! Are you Rachel?" Jenn joked. She shook her head "You look like an angel"
I just smiled at her "Thank you Jenn"
Jenn reciprocated my smile "As you should"
