CHAPTER 13
After that party, time passed so fast. It turned out we are already saying goodbye to our 3rd year and welcoming our last year before our residency. Jenn started to get serious when she saw her last grade, it was so low it almost failed her.
And as a friend, I suggested that we should really help each other. And she agreed.
Right now, we are currently almost living in the library. Tons of books on our table.
"I think my head's about to explode" Jenn exaggeratedly stated "I think I'm starting to regret why I took medicine"
"Tell that to me again when we start our residency" I stated to her.
Jenn grunted making other students looked at our way. I glanced at the librarian, she just gave us a dagger stare with her right brows arching.
"Jenn, you have no hopes" Jenn started smacking her head and I just smiled at her behavior. Poor fanatic!
During the following months, I was busy at school. My routine change overnight, my only destination would be dorm to school to library and back to the dorm. Same as Jenn, she is always wailing and she always complains about her not having time anymore fangirling over Theo Martin.
Theo Martin. After that incident, I have no news about him anymore. If he went to the date I heard his mom is suggesting, I don't know.
I haven't gone to the vinyl shop for so long already. I once went to explain to Caren that I'll be busy this year. And the always kind Caren was understanding enough to tell me good luck.
I poured all my energy and sweat studying.
"What?! You're training in Heal Hospital?" Jenn exclaimed.
I looked at her weirded "Yeah? What's shocking?"
She pointed at me unbelievably "Theo's family owned that!"
Shocks! Theo again?!
"What food did you eat? Tell me!" Jenn exclaimed.
I creased my brows "Today? What about it?"
"I will buy it, what did you eat? Why are you so lucky?!"
I just rolled my eyes. She's crazy!
So when the training started, we will be wearing our training uniform. I was so excited and nervous at the same time.
First day, we are assigned to an attending physician. Luckily she is so kind and she guides us so well while roaming the whole hospital.
I don't know but I can't help myself but roam the hospital in case I see Theo. I just don't want him to see me here, unluckily why must I be train here out of all the hospital. But who really cares? I'm here for school and experience, not for other things.
A month passed, it was all normal and stressful. I thought studying is too much already but training made me change my mind. How much more when residency comes, I think I'll cry blood.
All I did was do some rotations and follow what the attending tells me. Luckily I had four more students with me, we help each other so much even though we don't converse so much.
"Collins, check room patient 56" The attending handed me the lab data of the patients before she left.
It wasn't my first time doing rounds so I immediately proceed to the room. On the way there, I opened the lab data to see the patient is.
I stopped midway seeing who it is. Theo Martins.
I contemplated whether to go inside his room or not. I even double check if the name was right but fate is really playing with me.
I exhaled as I close the lab data I was holding. “And what about if it’s him? What’s with it?” I talked to myself.
“What are you doing?” A deep voice said.
“The fudge!” I was startled. I looked behind to see who it is just to see Theo.
Unlike his usual superstar cool outfit, he’s wearing a black hoody with a black mask covering his face. But it made me still recognize him by his brows meeting each other in annoyance.
But when he realized it was me, he then cleared his throat “What are you doing here?”
“I’m doing my training here” I answered.
He didn’t response. I waited but he didn’t say a word.
“And you? You’re a patient here?” I asked.
“Where is Doctor Gomez? My files are strictly confidential. Why are you here instead of her?” He asked.
“I’m doing the rounds now.”
“And?”
“Aren’t you a patient here?”
“I’m not” He said with diction “I’m just here for my regular check up”
“Really?” I asked brows scrunching. I check the lab data I am holding again.
“Ahm” I stopped checking it and look at him “Maybe they gave me a wrong data, I’ll check it. I’m sorry”
I started walking pass him to go back to our attending physician when he spoke “Wait”
I looked back at him and waited “Yes?”
He exhaled as he said “Hope you don’t blabber about me being here”
My brows creased “And why would I do that?”
He reflected my creased brows confused “Because you are a fan yourself?”
I froze for a moment. I pointed myself “Me?”
He nodded. I was about to blabber myself about me not giving a dam about him when I remembered the fan signing I went to.
Right! It was me who went there instead of Jenn. Maybe he thought I was the fan when I don’t even know anything about him.
