Ruth ran away from guilt. Her feet couldn't be recognized anymore as she ran faster than a cheetah. She eventually reached Mount Octover. She also noticed that her master was following her. At the top of the mountain, the whirling wind appeared in front of her. The way it whirled had changed; it was now faster, like a small gale. Ruth wondered how she could be mad at her after what she did for her. Why did everything she did never become enough for her? Why does she still want revenge? "Why are you now escaping from me, Cryrie?" a voice of a woman asked. "Don't you want to be obedient anymore? I thought you would support me with whatever I wanted to do, but now, why are you trying to run away from me?" "I know you're not so merciless, Estrella. And is it not enough that I killed my mother for you? Why do you still want to hurt the other members of my family?" Ruth asked while tears were oozing out of her eyes. "Dorothy's life isn't enough. I want to make Sebastian and his son feel what I felt. And how can you say they are your family? Cryrie, they never loved you like I do, and now you're betraying me?" the woman asked. "I can no longer be your servant!" Ruth screamed. "I hope that you are thinking well about your decision. You already know what can happen to you if you stop being my servant, right?" The woman threatened. "I'm not afraid of what may happen to me. I'm more afraid that you will completely get everyone I loved from me," Ruth replied. "Then let's see. Nobody can stop me from taking revenge, not even you, little bird." The whirling wind suddenly disappeared. Her words echoed several times in Ruth's mind. She knew that her master always did what she said, and if she wanted to kill anyone, she would do everything to achieve it. But now that she has no body, she can't hurt anyone, and Ruth hopes that she can't possess anyone. However, Ruth couldn't just stay cool. She couldn't believe that she killed the woman who had raised her since she was young. Her mind kept screaming that she killed her mother, and that was unforgivable, but she didn't know how to face the punishment for what she did. On the other hand, Callisto couldn't prevent his jaw from dropping as Stalin transformed into a beautiful girl. He had forgotten everything; all the attention was drawn to her, including his own; she was a perfect match for him. Linley could almost collapse from what she saw. She didn't know that she had a gorgeous friend. But what she could almost not believe was that Callisto couldn't notice her anymore because of that girl. She was trying to get his attention, but he had quickly changed. Callisto's attention only left Stalin when his phone vibrated inside the pocket of his pants. So he got it and saw that it was his father. He knew it was important, so he answered his call. "Hello, Dad?" Callisto asked. "Why did you call?" "Son? Something has happened to your mother. You need to go home now, because your mother, your mother, your mother died," Sebastian said. Callisto was shocked to hear the bad news about his mother. He couldn't believe it, but there was no reason that his father would lie to him and pull out pranks about his own wife. His phone slipped out of his hand. It's broken. His family will never be whole again. "What happened?" Stalin asked, seeing Callisto sad. "My mother died, and I have to go home now," Callisto replied. He immediately leaves, and Linley goes with him. Stalin understands how Callisto feels right now, so she lets him go. She knew how it exactly felt to have her mother die, and she couldn't blame Callisto if he was rushing out without even saying goodbye. "This is the worst day of my life," Callisto said. He remembered those moments when his mother was scolding him due to his actions, and he realized that she only did that because of how worried she was. "Please calm down, Callisto. I know how you feel right now," Linley said as she ran behind him. "You don't know how I feel, Linley—now I know what Stalin felt when his mother died. It's never easy. I feel like nobody will prepare food for me, wash my laundry, or take care of me when I'm sick. I feel like nobody cares about me anymore," Callisto said. Linley wondered why Callisto was always talking about Stalin even in this situation where she was the one who was with him and not that girl. She felt jealous, despite the fact that she was not in the position to feel this way. "Don't think like that, Callisto. There will always be someone who cares for you. I hope you know that," Linley said, trying to comfort him. "Who?" Callisto asked. "You?" "Yeah, it's me. I care for you. Always." Linley tried walking fast to keep up with him, but he was definitely sorrowful as his feet never took rest. They eventually arrived at Callisto's house, and as expected, it was already late. Dorothy's body was sent to the mortuary. Sebastian stayed in their house alone, tormented, and didn't know what to do. As Callisto entered the house, he felt sadness all around, seeing pictures of his mother smiling and fading. "I'm so sorry for your loss, Callisto," Linley conveyed her condolences to him. Callisto wanted to know what really happened to his mother, so he approached Sebastian and asked him about it. "Dad, please tell me what happened to Mom." "Your sister. When I got here, she was running away with a knife," Sebastian said. "She killed your mother, and I don't know what to do now." "What? How could she do that? Didn't she have any debt of gratitude to Mom?" Callisto asked. "She's too young to do that. Are you sure that there's no one else who was with Mom? You know, she can't be—" "Son, please, let's not talk about this thing for now," Sebastian pleaded. "I need some quiet to think clearly about what I should do." Callisto nodded as he understood his father. He looked at the floor, and he remembered his sister, who was with their mother before she died. Although he still couldn't believe what happened, Callisto wanted to believe that Ruth was innocent, since she couldn't really hurt anyone, and she even healed his wounds before. After a few moments, Ruth arrived home. She looked like she had run a thousand miles, running from the crime she had done, as tears and sweat were diffused on her face. "Where have you been?" Callisto asked immediately. Ruth didn't reply. She just stared at the floor as she entered their house. She was guilty as to what happened to their mother. She knew she couldn't blame everything on Estrella, especially since she was the one who committed the heinous crime. As she sat on the couch, it crossed her mind what Sebastian and Callisto could do to her if they knew that it was she who killed Dorothy. She thought that perhaps they would throw her back to where they picked her up. "Hey, I was wondering where you came from," Callisto said as he sat down beside his sister on the couch. "From outside." Ruth tried to speak in a normal tone, although she felt like crying because her brother confronted her. "I just want to ask you some serious questions, and I hope you won't lie to me. It's very important." Callisto looked directly at his sister's eyes, which sparkled with something he couldn't explain. "Where were you when our mother died?" Callisto asked if he was a police officer investigating the crime. Ruth remained silent for a while, crafting her lies in her mind as she didn't want to be accused of killing her own mother. She didn't want to be abandoned by the people she loved, not by the guy she considered her own brother. "I was inside my room, brother. I don't know what was happening to Mom when she was, perhaps, cooking our dinner, but when I got inside our kitchen—" Ruth hadn't finished saying her words as her emotions took over her rational mind. "Sorry, I didn't mean, you know, I'm just curious if what really happened to Mom." Callisto hugged his sister. "By the way, have you seen someone else enter our house?" Ruth got out of her brother's arms, but she couldn't look at his eyes. She didn't want to add another lie and sin, but she also didn't know how to tell the truth because she was putting her life on the line. She didn't know how to explain why she committed that crime, so she remained silent because anything she'd say could be used against her.
