In the backseat of an old car, a seventeen-year-old boy named Callisto put on his earbuds and listened to relaxing music, calming down his mind. The title of the music he was listening to was Honey Take My Hand by Cody Francis.
It had been a while since he was last there; he was just a kid that time, when his grandparents were still alive—they used to cook chocolate waffles, and he loved climbing those trees outside their house. The place must have changed a lot by now, Callisto thought, resting his chin on his hand as he looked outside.
Gentle raindrops oozed down the car's window. The city lights gradually gave way to the dark silhouettes of trees, tall mountains, and a few distant houses. After a few moments, they finally arrived at the place.
Callisto stepped out of the car and opened his umbrella. He followed his parents and little sister towards the old house made of oak wood. It looked haunted with its shape, white-painted, surrounded by tall grasses, haunted by the memories of the past.
